One thing I forgot was that the angler on the rod had too long of a leader so the barrel swivel could not pass through the tip and even on manual mode she couldn’t reel anymore so had to try hand lining the fish toward the gaff

The mates on the boat are phenomenal. The mates on that boat and all the boats in the Captain Lou Fleet work there tails off to make sure everything goes smooth and the customers enjoy themselves and hopefully go home with a bag of fillets! Michael D does not hire shit mates, period
No, I have not . Seemingly, the fish would notice you there and not go in the net ... Maybe throw bait in water and wait for some time to then use a cast net .
Hey Dave its Bill from upstate NY. I fished with you a bunch of times around 2013 range before i got sick. I learned alot from you and cought more fish on your boat than any of the other boats i fished on. Sword fish was the best for me and we got them and my first bigeye. I fish inshore around block tuna ridge aria now and fishing is good but canyon lady was my favorite boat.
