Joe Biden is one of those individuals you just let him do his thing. He has been in politics most of his life and knows the material. When he went to the debate bootcamp for a week, that was a big mistake, and caused him to be mentally exhausted. Just let Joe do his thing, and he will beat the brakes off Donald Trump in September. Greetings from the sh** show, ma’am. It’s a five alarm fire. The very fragile coalition that Biden has been holding together is bloodying each other on social media. I can’t even talk about SCOTUS. Just made the stakes that much higher.
I felt the same way Maryann, every time they would go to Trump and he was lying and not answering the question I would scream "He's not answering the question! Mute his mic!" It made me sooo mad. I watched Dana Bash interviewing James Clyburn and he took her to account on not fact checking Trump. Her comeback was the Biden team agreed to the terms of the debate. I seriously doubt they agreed to let Trump lie. Love light and healing to ALL.

I don't think televised debates help in the US or UK. This can be manipulated by the media in order to push their opinion. It is happening in the UK and it's as though people don't have the brains to make decisions for themselves, but are treated as thick and that they have to follow the TV or celebrities. I would love to see Biden and the Democrat to win the election, but most psychics say that now Trump will win the election. What a change since last week debate.
I think that debates have become a colossal waste of time and energy. I don't think that anyone's mind is really changed by how the debates go, because they aren't really debating at all. It's just an opportunity to state the position of the candidates and for the talking heads to ratchet up anxiety and fear or a false sense of superiority. I would rather see a series of hour long, in depth interviews by reputable and honest and well prepared reporters who aren't afraid of any blowback of each candidate separately. In other words, one hour of the Dem on say, immigration, with as many follow-up questions as it takes to get a well rounded understanding of the candidate's position, then one hour on the same subject of the Repub. That might not get tge high views the networks dream of, but it would be far more enlightening for the voter. Maybe when sanity prevails again we may see something like that.
