You should have mixed the mango with the yogurt in the ice cream mixer and added 2 or 3 tablespoons vodka to keep it from becoming unscoopable.

I got a KitchenAid mixer 37 years ago and it’s still working. I have the model that you’re showing it didn’t come with the guard. The problem I’m having and I haven’t used it but three or four times pushing the bowl in the back I have to stand on the ladder and push very very HARD. I’m afraid it’s going to break and then I’ll be out a KitchenAid mixer. I cannot afford to get another one as I’m a senior citizen on fixed income. Any ideas what I can do?

After purchasing and using the Cuisinart ice cream maker, I looked for reviews. The conclusion is that I should always keep the frozen bowl in the freezer. Good review!

You know what I actually didn’t notice a huge difference with the whipped egg whites - I definitely would with pancakes though!

@@TheCultureofCookery I saw that! I will try the Tasty method and see whether I get equally fluffy pancakes as with whipping. I don’t mind putting an extra bowl and beaters in the dishwasher if whipping makes a difference.

this is reminiscent of the electrolux kitchen assistant which my mom has been using since the 1970s and she still uses that same machine today -never looked to change it out. It also came with an adjustable grain mill, citrus juicer etc. One of the best machines I have ever seen

The best one comes from June formerly with Delish. Sadly she has suffered some physical & emotional problems of late & it is now kind of painful to even watch her. But her "pumpkin" pie was from before was still when she was still her bubbly self. (She used an oriental squash I have not been able to find.)

I just got one and it makes a weird sound like a scraping sound in the motor section itself. I ran it without the attachments to see where the sound was coming from. Is that normal?

My grandmother taught me years ago when she used her hand mixer mash the potatoes. I’ve been doing that ever since. I haven’t tried the using my stand mixer method of mashed potatoes yet. I prefer the hand mixer method.

Get what you pay for. Some folks would rather buy once and cry once; never to buy again. Others are happy to buy cheaper alternatives and replace more often.

Thank you. Apparently, Cuisinart addressed the problem of noise with the earlier models, like the one I have. Very loud and unpleasant. I used to set up the machine and get it runniing, then flee the room for 30 minutes - really !

I’ve had mine for years. I live in Florida so when I feel like ice cream I have it in my pantry. Making protein powder ice cream and it tastes great!! 😊 The Ninja Creamy looks amazing but for how often I use this one it’s fine.

The Ninja Creami has major design flaws. First off, the lid is hard to clean and will grow mold start smelling. Second, the rotor, which goes into the ice-cream, also goes back into the machine. That will smell too. Third, people have complained about shredded plastic in their ice-cream, from the lid, I suppose.

i have a 1970's kitchen aide before whirlpool bought it out. i have been watching how whirlpool is slowly messing up the home mixer and they are doing the same with the professional mixers. First customers were complaining about the oil leak into the batter from the planetary head. come to find out that they use MASSIVE amounts of oil splattered on the gears (the grease they use is like a dark jelly) then they decided to use white grease (they claim its food grade). Now i see that they no longer put spring and washer on the paddle attachment rod. They say that it is not a necessity which isnt the case at all. If the kitchen aide mixer doesnt have the spring and washer, the attachment will have enough play that it will ruin it. They even quit manufacturing it! So if you get a kitchen aide after 2016, there is at least one company that is having it manufactured for another company that runs youtube concerning repair and maintenance. Mr Mixer. I wont be surprised if whirlpool does another dumbass thing to cut corners and customers will no longer be buying them. So im glad that this mixer is a great alternative to KA.

These are great for the price! I bought two of them. The first was a refurbished unit from Amazon for $35, about 4 years ago. It worked great but was a bit noisy. The second was about $60, brand new, and was much quieter. The funny thing is, while watching your video, YOUR unit sounded just like my refurb lol. But still a great unit. I made strawberry ice cream tonight, it's hardening in the freezer right now!

I don't find the beep bothersome at all. Love my Kalorik! As far as the doors, you kind of glossed over the fact that when you open the doors all the way, they stay open just fine. I like the spring loaded doors as, like my regular oven, it will close itself with a tap in the right direction. Last, the handles do get warm, but far from burn you warm. Otherwise, decent review.

When I first served my nieces some mashed potatoes I had made once they came to visit, I heard them laughing has they were eating. When I asked them what was funny, they said that my mashed potatoes were really good because they were not chunky! I guess mashed potatoes are not my sister-in-law's specialty. 😉 I usually make mine with just some butter and a bit of milk, salt and a bit more pepper than most people add to it. When I have leftover cream, I will add it to the potatoes to make them a bit richer.
