Looks good - I've been using 3dQue for my automation - works well, but you do need to wait for the hot bed to cool down before it knocks the prints off. This method seems like you'd be able to reduce down time and you can get a full beds worth. I lose about 5cm at the top using 3Dque so the hot end has enough space to get behind the print to knock it off.
oh yeah I was super skeptical about the system at first, but I ended up having too much fun with it. I‘m pretty sure they will develop the system for other printers as well! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Really awesome video. What happens if you run out of plates (like it looks like happened on your last print)? Does the printer pause and wait, does it try to print on a non-existent plate, or something else?
Thanks! and good question, i actually didnt try that out. My best guess is that it‘ll just print on the bed. (it will prep & calibrate before each print so it will think that the bed is the plate). But then again, A1 Mini also can detect if there‘s no plate on the bed. Maybe i‘ll try it out and see what happens!😆
you don‘t need to edit the Gcode, just turn on the timelapse smooth mode. It workd perfectly with single colored prints, but not so much for multicolored prints.
Love it! Just set this up with my Nikon D3200. Question, did you modify the gcode at all for best pictures? (If so, can you share the code 😅) I almost have it perfect, but sometimes the printer goes to fast and the pictures aren't aligning
thanks man! I guess you’re talking about multicolor prints? No i don‘t add any code to this, but im pretty sure i saw somebody else made it a few weeks ago. I just can‘t remember his name..😅
I made a mistake of getting an LED strip from a cheap dollar store here in Germany, and there were like only like 15 LEDs/m or maybe less, I don‘t remember since I brought it back to the store😅
this has never happened to me before, but you can also make the brim bigger so it‘ll stick better to the plate. Or try to wash your plate wish dishsoap & wipe the plate with IPA before a print. Most problems that occur in 3D printing are caused by the bed being dirty
The wiper isn't just not great, it's terrible. Even bambu knows; that's why they changed it to the superior a1 purge system. There is a great wiper using a cut up silicone tube that filament will not stick to
Say I want to do a print where the photo is of a military helicopter in flight. The helicopter is shades of grey, the sky is light blue, clouds white, etc. I can substitute the filament colors to match the original photo colors to make it look more realistic correct or do I stick with the CMYK setup. I am still just learning 3D print so need to ask.
hi there, you should just stick to CMYK colors if you‘re printing color lithophane. If you want just to print flat 2D picture in multicolor, you can use Hueforge (paid) or sticker maker from BambuLab (free).
Hi, first of all thank you for this tutorial! I've some troubles printing the roads. Actually I can see them in the preview of the model in the Bambu Lab Studio, however the slicer get rid off them during the slicing process. Do you have any idea how to avoid this? Thank you!
hi there, your welcome! Do you get the notification error about the model? Make sure to fix it using Fusion360 or in Blender itself. If its not the problem, then maybe try to make the road thicker and see if that helps?
I found what I wanted and have it in the cart. Can't find the English button? Maybe doesn't have one. Tried paying with PayPal but after that going back to their site, didn't have Usa or United States as an option to ship to. Found a different wiper so I guess that will just rot in the cart!!
I love the way you include all the links as so many other 3D RU-vidrs don't and it's such a pain, so you have earned my subscription. You can buy LED Light Connectors, Including X-shaped, T-shaped, L-shaped and many others from the likes of Temu for about €2.30 the link would have been too long to post here.
The catch is that your city either scanned in or publish their 3-D data I tried to locate my city and my hometown but they could only give me the 2-D data
I'm still trying to make my first Sign. and it teases me a lot. the video is good enough. when you are completely new to it, now I want to make my coffee and give it another try. the sign ( Thumbs up Dream) my 4th attempt now, I look forward to it succeeding,
The part when making the inserts, when you say click all but the "Outermost" or "uttermost" line except the 0.1mm offset. I have tried multiple ways and was not able to get it to extrude corectly. It wouldnt extrude into the object.
hi there, try to zoom it in so you can see the areas better. And for extruding you wanna make sure you select the area of the line encompassing it and not the line itself
I'm curious, I'm thinking of getting the AI Mini w/ AMS Lite but am curious on how much space it takes exactly when both are set up together. Can you by chance tell me the Width and Depth these two take together?
can't this just be solved in software?? 3D printer streams printhead coordinates and every time it goes to xy=0,0 make the phone take a picture (simple iphone app) ... am I missing something here?
