Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, depending on what side of the world you are in! Welcome to my channel!
I'm a retro butterfly, an empath, extrovert, a creative being, a natural entertainer and lover of people. I am currently on a musical journey, lead by my husband (a metal-head + reoccurring guest) and my Patrons. We do first-time music reviews to music from 70’s rock, Symphonic Metal, to Black Metal and beyond!
We give context and commentary before and after each song is reviewed. Sit back and enjoy this beautiful and sometimes emotional ride.
I hope you enjoy your time here.

Thanks for putting in the interviews, it helps to know Cliff better as a person, also had a few laughs when Kirk was telling the story about him and Cliff, felt the fun they had, it is absolutely beautiful
As a man, I gave up on someone doing something for me. I lock up my emotions and just do what I have to. I have wife and kids, and they'll never know how weak I am. I'll just put on a fake smile and say I'm ok.
In my view, Ministry aren't "industrial" per se, but rather a rock band with industrial affectations. Same with NIN and many others. If you're looking for true industrial, check out Throbbing Gristle, SPK, perhaps Nurse With Wound, Non, Dog As Master, early Test Dept etc. That, to me, is true industrial, a term which has expanded to include many liars.
A superb reaction to my favourite PF song (just ahead of Comfortably Numb. Animals is my go to Floyd album. Its just a shame they never played it live in the 5 times I saw them.
I would love to see a reaction to Wardrun with Helvegen, it truly is a special live performance with the very talented Aurora ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FnkTuHP9q3o.htmlsi=NbeerD7qbHkjxyEL
My absolute favorite Pink Floyd album. Such a good teaching album, exposing the corporate world for what it is. Disgusting. Excellent reactions and thoughtful Commentary. New sub.

In case you don't already know the lyrics by heart: Sometimes, for a moment of bliss And the passion, we're craving There's a message we miss Sometimes when the spirits left alone We must believe in something To find if we've grown [Bridge] Tragic reflex, shattered calm Static progress, senses gone Numb awareness, final psalm [Chorus] Swept away with the tide Through the holes in my hands Crown of thorns at my side Drawing lines in the sand [Verse 2] Sometimes, if you're perfectly still You can hear the virgin weeping For the savior of your will Sometimes, your castles in the air And the fantasies you're seeking Are the crosses you bear [Bridge] Sacred conflict, blessed prize Weeping crosses, stainless eyes Desperate addict, faith disguised [Chorus] Swept away with the tide Through the holes in my hands Crown of thorns at my side Drawing lines in the sand [Guitar Solo] [Verse 3] We fabricate our demons Invite them into our homes Have supper with the aliens And fight the war alone We conjure up our skeletons Enlist the den of thieves Frightened from our closets Then sewn upon our sleeves In the stream of consciousness There is a river crying Living comes much easier Once we admit we're dying [Verse 4] Sometimes, in the wreckage of our wake There's a bitterness we harbor And hate for hatred's sake Sometime we dig an early grave And crucify our instincts For the hope we couldn't save Sometimes a view from sinless eyes Centers our perspective And pacifies our cries Sometimes the anguish we survive And the mysteries we nurture Are the fabrics of our lives [Chorus] Swept away with the tide Through the holes in my hands Crown of thorns at my side Drawing lines in the sand
I remember this one. Was Loon request wasn't it? Regardless, such an epic piece and subtle disturbing minor/major shifts only to blow out in full havoc bloom. It certainly hits a tangent inside.
Welcome to our world, and thank you for your kind words. You have no idea how much those words can help. If you thought this was hard, react to the original (the "Official Music Video"). And if you thought this was a lot, realize that the vast majority of men live with this almost every day of their lives from the time they hit adulthood until the day they die. We're hurting, and we just need someone to let us know each day that what we're doing is worth it.🥺
Deep Purple has there 23rd Studio release. The singer is 78 and demonstrates that you never get to old to produce good music. PORTABLE DOOR is the single. The LP is =1
I love your respect , thank you , but I feel like this everyday , two failed marriages multiple relationships , I never cheated on anyone but I feel that I was used for what I had and not about me . Can't find a relationship because I'm so scared of getted hurt and used so I don't try . Thank you again for the respect and comments .
The line that gets me the most in this piece is "All I want to do is provide". That's so true it hurts. We men are purpose-built to be those providers and protectors. We're hard-wired to want and to need to be useful, to be depended upon, to find a heavy responsibility and carry it. The danger and heartache come when we are either expressly denied the opportunity to do so, go completely and totally unappreciated for it, or outright attacked and demeaned for not doing absolutely everything when we're already trying to give everything of ourselves to do it. So many times, it feels like no matter which way we go, we hit one or more of those three outcomes. We try to express what we're feeling, and we get attacked by a combination of women who don't care to understand and men who either don't understand or choose not understand because of their own pride and vanity. But the important thing to remember is that it's not *always* like that, and there absolutely are people out there who would have nothing but compassion and empathy if only they knew "what it's like to be a man." I think it's going to be alright in the end. There is always hope, my brothers.
I can only speak on my own thoughts and experience, but this song, both the original, and this mashup are waaaay too real for me. I love watching women react to this. It's reassuring in a way. There's something about the raw emotion that this song brings out in everyone, but specifically from women, that exposes the fallacies in the way I've been programmed to think. You seem like a great wife.
