When I was the 5/1/24 Foo Fighters gig in Dallas three months ago, it was a great experience for sure. Although we ended up missing Nova Twins due to the traffic on our way to the venue, and when we were in line to pick up some merch, Nova Twins had finished up their set, and after we bought our merch and gone up onto the lawn, Foo Fighters came on stage just in time and they played Bridge Burning, the head banging track, although the song was only played for the first few days of the tour As for the merch, the T-Shirts looked great and there was verity in the diffrent shirts and were well worth the price. Me, my step sister and her freind got the grey Molecule T-Shirts while my stepdad got the Ridiculous Conert Photo shirt and the cobra zip hoddie which looks good as well.
Hey Russ. Thanks for the video. Go hawks! Quick question. I noticed that you and most other videos dont disconnect the return line and use a hose to drain out the remaining ~3-4 quarts of used fluid in the system (after topping it off post-filter change). Any thoughts on whether there is an advantage to draining it all out to get the last ~30% of used fluid out?
Hi Toby 👋 a drain and fill is not a full removal of fluid. The remaining quarts are inside the torque converter. To completely flush the fluid you need a pump like something you would find in a shop. A partial fluid removal is good though because you’re changing the filter and cleaning the magnet. In this video, I should’ve been more mindful of the fact that the magnet was gone from the last fluid change at the dealership. I really should’ve made a stink about that. Anyhow, without a machine that costs well over $1000 you’re not gonna get all the fluid out of the transmission by draining it no matter what you do. Draining the fluid is more to remove dirt, gunk and debris. Transmitter fluids, not like oil it does lubricate, but that’s not its main function. I hope that helps Toby. @@MortenAastad not Safeco anymore. For us both the Mariners and the Seahawks would play in the kingdom. After they tore down the kingdom, they built both of these stadiums. 🏟️ A cell phone company renamed the stadium some years ago, it’s where the Mariners play so I’ll continue to call it “Mariners stadium”. If the Cell phone company wants me to mention the name they’re gonna have to buy add space on my channel! 😤😝 🤔 I think Safeco got bought out by some other behemoth insurance company. That will be the downfall of America. My 2017 ford explorer started making a low grinding noise when turning left idk if its the same issues its not that loud but maybe its barely beginning to give out, im barely sitting at 61k miles
Ugh, hopefully it’s not that steering rack. 🤔that was around the first generation time. I would take it to a reputable dealer and see what they say. Some of them are under warranty if it’s under 100,000 miles. Best of luck with that issue, my friend ✌️🔧🙏
It’s mostly fixed. Has a weird electrical problem now. Still trying to get that sorted. I wish we could still get Records for $15 on sale at Walmart here. I’ll have to use the app to scan some records, but I think Walmart is smart. They know people around here are going to Shell out top dollar for Walmart vinyl.

Brought mine home yesterday. 07’ 62,000 miles. I opened the trunk and was shocked when I saw all those wires and tubes. Lol. This video is a lot of help. I’m going to check those cables now. Thanks.

Sorry for so many comments LOL buy you are gonna be great man! It'll keep things interesting. On the 62te there is a kickdown clutch from 4 to 3:00 which I believe yours will have that too and sometimes the seals get a little Nick in them that can release pressure when you downshift. So I think that's why mine was fixed with the blue devil
I've had my van for several years now and have the same transmission in it that used to hit limp mode all the time when I bought it and no longer hits limp mode knock on wood
Yes, if there is a engine light, it’s fixable. It’s when you don’t have an engine light that we got worry. Limp mode is usually fixable as these transmissions are very dominantly electronically controlled.
Oh yeah there's two products that I put in mind that make it not hit limp mode too. After changing the fluid and filter put one bottle of trans tune in it and half a bottle of Blue devil transmission seal stop leak
Yeah, sometimes the blue devil can help swell the seals if there’s a leak. But if there’s an exterior leak, it’s always best to fix that before adding any stop leak technology. 👍🔧😁
@@CHEAPROLLIN I thought that too. I did one transmission service on it with the correct fluid ATF +4 I took it down to my friends at the transmission shop and have it serviced again.
@@RussShawTV heck yeah I am thinking of putting a cooler on mine. My van would limp mode if I was coming to a stop. I was able to keep the from limping if I held a tiny bit of throttle while coming to stop. I finally believe it was the drum seal / debris. The 4 to 3 seals go bad. So if yours had the same problem I imagine it would be at highway speeds coming to a stop when it kicks down from 4 to 3rd and it would cause limp mode. Luckily the Blue devil fixed it for me
I have videos on this I think they said 90% of the reasons why these the ants hit limp mode is not transmission internal related. Mine is a 62te transmission I imagine you probably have the 41te which is very similar if you have a slap shifting you can use that and keep it in like 5 and it will not hit limp mode that way too

use brake clean i usually hit the valve body a couple good squirts let it dry a little before i put pan back on. it has to be clean as possible any little thing could give you trouble later
The older I get the more I get into Hank, Merle, Johnny, Waylon, Johnny, Buck, George, Willie., Tammy, Patsy & Dolly. I never used to have the time of day for country in the 90's. Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. And important detail id like to add. Early Elements 03-06 had their seatbelts mount on the door right on that grey pannel trim piece you removed at 2:09 . That being the case you might need an extra tool to get the seat belt off if one was so inclinded. A decent sized adjustable wrench would probably do it. The bolt was pretty big. I got my glass from an 05 in a junk yard and i didnt have the tool with me so i was able to kind of slide the trim piece down the seat belt and go about my buisness. I dont know how safe for the trim it was but it seemed fine. Additionaly on my car I was able to remove and replace that same silver trim without monkeying with any of the screws on the door. When you fit it back together you should be mindful of the rubber all the way down on the door jam facing the front seat. I had to pry it from being pinch between the pannels with a screw driver (a pannel tool would have worked the same) when I reassembled everything. Bonus because I got my glass at the junk yard I didnt have to swap the hard wear that held it to the car. Made the job go alot faster. One last nugget of wisdom. Anyone going to the junk yard for the first time the whole lot is covered with goo and oil so if your careful you might be fine but i would suggest wearing a pair of kicks you dont mind getting dirty. I saved my self some nasty cuts thanks to your insistence on the gloves. Something I definitely would have skipped otherwise. Thanks for the cautionary tale and detailed instructions.

My half brothers father was trying to get his then family over to Seattle, but his brother who was in the RNAF crashed and died in his fighterplane and he didn’t want to then leave his parents and he got promoted to chief engineer… something like that. Anyhow, I wouldn’t have existed so… And if MY grandfather had stayed in Montana, I wouldn’t have either so… Some hints of America in my life, somehow. These cars are known for loose spark plugs check that before you waste a lot of money when the plug is loose that is where the Whistling noise comes from compression from the motor
Plugs loose is not where the whistling is coming from. there’s a whole playlist on this issue. It’s the valve cover. Lincoln, the description and the end screen.
I've spent like a hundred fifty dollars on valve cover and vacuum hoses wasted my money the same problem Whistling noise before you waste your money check the spark plugs number 1 and 2 cylinder loose tightened up noise went away
I will tell you guys out there these cars are known for the spark plugs to come loose when that happens they lose compression that's where the Whistling noise comes in make sure your spark plugs are tight before you break the bank I had one spark plug loose like to drove me crazy

I like aeroflex, and buy blades by the shit-ton offa Chinese internets. They do great on grass, but if you get near brick or concrete or chain link, it really eats the shit outta them
