Brilliant video Shaz, you look amazing with or without make-up 😍. I think women are 'slowly ' waking up to the fact that ageing is a privilege and every 'line and wrinkle' has been earned and shows we have lived life. I totally believe that make-up is for enhancing our features and not to take years off a life that's been lived. You're absolutely 💯 correct that some youtubers are so obsessed with youth and getting millions of 'clicks', that they completely miss the women (and men), that DO have the means to indulge in a few luxuries. That's why you are so relevant in the content you give us, Shaz........and when you feel the need to get things off your chest? Then it's a big YES for the rant videos 💪💪👏💕⚘️
I love hearing this. Every face is different, so how can there be "rules" that apply to everyone? I am so turned off by the discussion of age, and the celebrity bragging about going "makeup free." I will always wear makeup no matter how old I get. Not to look "younger" but because I love it and it makes me feel great. Keep giving us your opinions. Looking forward to your autumn videos!
The thing I feel a little sad about, is the lack of individuality in the young these days. All the girls look like a Kardashian and have lip injections at such a young age. None of them can post a pic without a heavy filter, and they don't even have wrinkles! I guess it's just the trend. When I was young, everyone wanted to be Madonna. Reaching 50, I have just stopped caring about how I should look for other people. I love wearing make up. I love how it makes me feel and I love the self care process of applying it. If I want full glam to do the weekly food shop, then i'll do it. If I want shimmer in the middle of the day, then i'll do it. Everyone's skin is different, so setting blanket rules on what you can and cant do is ridiculous! You get one life, that goes by in the blink of an eye. Don't waste it worrying about what others think. Do what makes you happy in the the life that you are living. 🙂xx

Well said, looking younger is not a frozen over filled face. I'm 67 and I love makeup, who cares what I look like. I have my own style and I've learnt to be comfortable in my own skin. ❤

I love when you have a bee in your bonnet and do a fun chat while getting ready! I completely agree with everything you said. It seems that in the past few years everyone's obsession with aging has really ramped up. A smokey eye or shimmery eyeshadow doesn't make someone look any older. I also hate how people seem to brag about not wearing foundation. First of all who cares and second, they almost always wear heaps of concealer and/or powder. I am trying to watch more creators who don't have Botox and fillers. Absolutely no hate or judgment to anyone who does, but I am trying to embrace aging and it helps to see others doing the same. Speaking of, I absolutely love the character Rebecca in Ted Lasso. She wears all the makeup and it looks incredible, and the actress has embraced her expression lines and wrinkles. I don't think she looks any older than other women her age who have botox or wear minimal makeup meant to make them look younger. I recently purchased the original Naked palette that was just re-released and I've been loving shimmer in the crease, smokey eyes, and shadow and liner on the lower lash line. Please keep making these chatty grwm videos! I am excited to see your fall content!

Hey Shaz! SUCH a good video! Amen and Amen. That is why I STILL put eyeliner on my lower lash line. I could give two craps if it's a do or don't. I've tried the upper lash line and no lower lash line and I hate it. Like majorly hate it. I just do what I want now. I don't do botox or fillers and have zero desire. It's just something to maintain and pay for for the rest of your life to keep the look. My mom and grandmother never did either. There's a few people mostly one that I follow that is obsessed over being tan and fillers/botox. She promotes it constantly on her IG. She is maybe mid 30's and has two young kids. She obsesses over her face and I'm about to unfollow. It's always about filler b/c "Look at those lines.." Then it's the ozempic. Don't get me started either! lol XO
Girl yaass!! I know you love your makeup and you always look perfection especially those eyes! You botox one area and then suddenly you five more issues that you didn't have before! Yeh and it's a lifetime of expensive maintenance! I rather buy fragrance and makeup anyday! Omg I know it's getting beyond ridiculous! They never even have any lines! I swear it makes you look older! No no, you’re right! I agree with your take on everything! ETA: I have always heard about not wearing shimmer after a certain age and it’s like, EFF OFF! I’m 40 years old and from a time we wore frost everything! Glitter everywhere! That’s still me. I still love all of that. I was wearing a frosty lilac lipstick a few months ago and everyone was asking what I was wearing. All ages! I felt a little insecure wearing it (just for a second though) but you see how not everyone is judging you? Some people look or stare because they are actually admiring lol!
Wonderful video!!! When did putting on makeup become an exercise in looking "younger"? Most women I know who wear makeup do so because we love the artistry, we love playing with color, we love transforming ourselves, we love the ritual of it. I do not wear makeup to look 10 years younger!!! I am 62 years old. I own it. Have been wearing it since I was 16. Some days it is a minimal look, other days it is full glam to go food shopping!!! I actually love it when I see a woman older than I am wearing a glam look, or something that the "makeup police" deem too aging, too harsh! We need to just do what we like, and let others do the same. Last time I looked it was not a crime to wear makeup if you had an older face! How ridiculous! Thank you for doing this video!

Do whatever makes you feel good about yourself. I so needed this video; I totally agree with you. Well said Shaz!I have recently unsubscribed to so many ladies that I followed.As a 55 year old I was starting to feel very negative about myself and changing everything that I was told I needed to so I look and feel younger.Well…I looked and felt worse.what is wrong with growing old gracefully and being yourself.I love make up and there was nothing wrong with how I looked in the first place!❤

@@BlondeTeaParty thank you! Double wear has always been my favourite foundation, and still is, as I have oily skin. Yet everyone I watch tells me I shouldn’t be wearing it at my age as it’s too drying! I love a red lip too sometimes! 😊

Thank you 😊No it wasn't advised by my surgeon. Not all capsules will need to be removed and sometimes it can cause more damage than not. It all depends on your circumstance.
I spent years wishing I could wear the Original Foundation but thought I couldn't becasue I have VERY dry skin. But I put the Complexion Rescue on under the Original, and WOW! My skin has NEVER looked so good and my skin stayed hydrated ALL day!! I can't thank you enough for this life changing tip! Please don't stop doing what you do, I LOVE your videos and chats!
