That being said, do you think that he *deserved* to die? just because he may have used drugs or a drug or whatever was in his system? Really? that combined with that yes he had had a heroin problem straight up many years ago and had totally kicked at least that and opioids. A professional drummer myself, I think I can feel and understand more than most others, maybe including yourself, can. As oh yes, I became a heroin addict for nine years, just got 18 months clean couple weeks ago. .. This guy.. is one of my larger influences, and from basically everything I’ve heard from -anybody that met him? he was a heartfelt, caring, and loving person not to mention how dedicated you have to be to get that good at playing drums and singing in studio AND in front of tens of thousands of people type audiences. so if you happen to see this, or anybody else reads it just… I hope you can somewhat understand where my experience has led me to take the damn time to write all this personal stuff out to complete strangers. Drugs are illegal in the US, which makes people like yourself stigmatized against it when you don’t even know the fuck why you are. if he was killed in, say a mass shooting somewhere, would you say, well, he did it to himself by walking to the store? fuck! If he flew off of a swingset caring for his son, broke his neck and died, would you say “well he deserved it nobody should use swingsets dumbasses”..??? No. You would not. I hope you can elucidate yourself to the fact that drugs being illegal, stigmatizes them, and makes people like yourself stigmatize other people that use them, but.. are also good people. I have known a lot of really horrible people that used drugs. If God forbid, I heard that you were killed; by serial killer, or by cancer… I have no idea who the hell you are but, I would think “ Wow, a lot of people will probably miss this person and I send thoughts or love, to your family. And if you had the disease of addiction or even if you don’t believe that at all, If you died, literally in the middle of a rave party, just… I’d have some goddamn empathy man!? Much love from Philadelphia
