He lived a more fulfilled life than most. There is kinda a Hollywood irony he played for Alanis, and then foo fighters. Just did a movie called Studio 666, and he dies in it... Is in a side project Band; Birds of Satan. Almost seems like an alleged Hollywood blood sacrafice. "Isn't it ironic, don't you think?!?" "Life has a funny way of sneaking up on you!!" *Alanis M*
Queen ? Nope. Not a single drop. Neither musically/vocally nor visually. Eagles of Death Metal ? For sure. I know Grohl used the Mercury analogy in an interview but this doesn't apply to this song.

Had barely opened my eyes this morning when I turned on the news and they are running a story saying Taylor has died. Literally in disbelief. What a fucking dude ! I didn't expect to see that news for at least another couple of decades. Rock n Roll has just lost one of its greatest drummers of all time ! Today is a sad day !
Taylor was probably a bit pissed at the fact that all the music videos in Sonic Highways were like, dead serious about the songs. They didn't let him cross-dress once in the entire show :/ I'm glad he found an outlet for his art.
This is his Roger Taylor song. You can hear influences from his 70s tunes off the early albums. Might be the greatest song about dealing with a deranged Malibu female in all of rock history.
Is it too late to say how brilliant this is? I’m afraid so. TH - you were so so so much more than just a drummer - you were a rock star. Another surreal loss for the music community.
I distinctly remember Taylor showing a video with similar graphic style on their MTV 24 hour thing and saying he wanted to do one like and here he did it... living the dream. He, his talent and his sense of humor will be dearly missed.
I remember Taylor talking on 24 Hours of Foo about how the music video for Cliff Richard's "We Don't Talk Anymore" was the lamest video ever made and that he'd like to rip it off one day. WELLLLLLLLL it took 11 years, but here we are at last. Thanks T
Rest in peace, Taylor Hawkins. Your music and personality will be remembered forever. I hope all family and friends of Taylor gets through this tough time. 🙏
Love how crunchy the drums are on this tune. The whole tune is arranged so well, and with that allowing for every instrument to have a space of it's own...well, just listen! Good, good stuff.
Liam Gallagher is that guy everyone wants up to the stage just make him opening his mouth.. what ever he says gonna be the funniest sh*t you ever hear.. such a waste he becomes a musician.. his call was comedy and it’s the truth..
Actually, there is much more (and better music to some people), that is saving rock and roll. Well actually I don't think it needs saving, rock and roll is going to last for ever and keep going either way
The Hazza I don't disagree. I just love the way the Foo's and Taylor at times hit us with this 80's trip which is something you don't get to hear or see everyday thanks to button music.
The song is really cool, has a bit of a "Scentless Apprentice" vibe in the main riff. It's really a fun tune, and basing the video on "We Don't Talk Anymore" by Sir Queef Richard Is so over the top cheesy that it works well. Great job Taylor. :)
Rest in peace to one of the best people in the music industry. He was a super talented dude and always made everyone laugh in all the docs and interviews i saw him in. RIP TH 🤘🤘🤘
Dave and the rest of the foo fighters so so sorry for your loss. I also lost my young husband suddenly he loved you guys sang your songs to me. Rip Taylor!!🙏
I'm still reeling from this heartbreaking loss. What a talented individual. We are, without a doubt, impoverished. RIP Taylor was eagerly anticipating new music from him. May he rest in peace
i just want this shit to be a demented dream or something. please don’t tell me we actually lost him. please. this feels to unreal. i was just talking about him the other day to my girlfriend. please just wake me up from this damn nightmare now
as i stumble upon this video once again, the sad reality hits me. we lost this man way too fucking soon. so grateful i was able to appreciate you while you were on this journey we call earth, but your legacy forever lives on. rest in peace legend!!!! rock the fuck on 🥁 🎸🎶🤍
Watchin this vid did make me laugh and smile,u and the fellas always had/have a good sense of humor…Gonna miss hearin and seein ya on the kit behind Dave and on your solo stuff, rest easy bro…🙏🏻🤍✨🌈🥁🤙🏻
Man, I like where Taylor’s Head is at. This is a perfect example of using retro cues to make something current. As opposed to pure retro pastiche like van fleet.
