I have Xreal Air (1) and honestly i think that all of these glasses are really useful for 1-2 scenarios: - playing computer games - watching movies I use glasses with Odin 2 / Ayaneo Geek 1S handhelds and for this usecase, it's actually great. I can be in bed, in the evening, my head, neck are resting and I can play computer games. To be fair, I would play strategy games, with tons of text, especially around the edges - like you said, with version 1, the screen is blurry around the corners. It's hmm frustrating a bit. Why ? Because if you move the glasses, it changes a bit, so you think that maybe if you position your glasses differnetly , put them on the nose loose, or tight that it'll fix - but nope ;) I wonder, some Viture model has correction, so there's no blurry edges (At least that's what i heard) ps. good, honest review. if I would buy it for productivity, my laptop or smartphone, I would say that this overall piece of tech is just not good enough. But if you want to watch Netflix, or play on Steam Deck then yea, it's not that bad. I mean at least Xreal Air - sometimes you can buy used one (almost new) rather cheap because well, a lot of people don't use them ;) Xreal Air 2 Pro - hmm it's just too expensive for gaming / movie device. It's a shame, i expected that they somehow fixed blurry edges.
Thanks for the review my brother; I used your link to purchase. The discount code was a nice benefit, wish I would have seen this sooner so I could have received the sleep mask. Be Blessed, Parker
i was really interested in a full phone version of the boox palma. but if this comes out before Boox does anything then i will probably have to give this phone a try.
Thank you for a great review. I have a dumb question for you... what happens if you use a black sharpie (or a piece of tape) to wrap around the edges of those lenses. In theory, it should stop the reflection, but I am not sure if that will solve your issues. I am still debating what glasses to get. Thus far I've been deeply enjoying using my Quest 3 with Immersed for working and hoping there is a product out there that is not as bulky (and doesn't cost $1000) that can replicate a multi-screen work environment. also, can you stream youtube and whatnot from an android tablet without using the Beam addon?

Thank you for an honest review. Specially about the light ingress and blurry image - these two things are deciding factors for me. I certainly would want the device to have a clear image and be able to use it for work.
I think the main appeal of these is all novelty. The last thing I want is a third (or fourth) way to get email or message notifications. Cell phons are still going to be the better choice for most of the advertised use cases of this advice. The teleprompter function being the obvious exception.
I'm currently using the echo frames but would love to see these in action. I'm excited to see an honest review video. I would definitely consider something like this.
I have the baseline razr 2024 and I use the front screen 75% of the time...essentially how you describe, as a dumb phone for messaging, calls, notifications, podcasts/audiobooks and camera. I only open and use the inside screen when I'm intentionally posting content or writing longer form stuff. It's been amazing so far, my impulse to doom scroll/get caught in the swipe cycle is waaaaaay down. I need to have access to a smart phone for family/work but this is exactly the almost minimalist balance I was looking for. Also love all the photography possibilities of the form factor and find the cameras perfectly adequate with a little touch up in post.
That is fantastic, dude! Thanks for sharing this. I'm glad you have found a way to use it both as a digital tool set and an entertainment/work device as well. That's dope.
Thanks for this good review! I'm glad I discovered this channel. I'm quite optimistic, it takes alot to put me off a product I like the concept of, so I might buy myself a pair of these 😎
I left Apple after being on it since the iPhone 5, l got the Motorola Edge and I don’t miss Apple at all its the freedom you get when using Android everything you can use and you don’t feel locked down the App Store. Google Play is a lifesaver especially when purchasing stuff. I can use my T-Mobile phone number as a wallet and bill certain subscriptions straight to my carrier instead of App Store 😊 Been looking into the Razr+ last time I had a Razr was 18 years ago in High School the outer screen was barely a thing back then and you only had 1 button at a time texting 😂 Great times!
I dont understand the concept of unboxing experience..... i want something its in a paper box so i take it out to use it. What the point of unboxing experience in it......
I'm so tired of these videos where guys talk about things that they don't understand/know about. Literally reading a website and not even doing that correctly. I spent 2 minutes on their site and I know the device size is NOT 4.3 inches, that is the DISPLAY size. Come on, get with the program if you are going to review a product.
My favorite unexpected part of this phone is the raised bezels around the internal screen. Obviously they are there to protect the screen when the phone folds closed, but it has the unexpected bonus of saving me from accidentally inputting with the ball of my thumb, an issue I'd sometimes encounter on my previous phone. My least favorite unexpected part of this phone is how I usually touch the fingerprint sensor when pocketing it, unlocking the phone and turning the screen on after I'm done using it.
I bought this phone because I wanted something smaller. I neglected to consider that, while it would be smaller than my old phone while closed, it would still be about 91% of the weight of my old phone. So if you are considering a foldable phone to reduce 'pinky fatigue' it may actually make it worse since your other fingers can help brace a regular phone whereas it can be very tempting to support the razr almost entirely with your pinky.
Does the titanium looks more like steel? And is silver is too shiny? I want something thats not cheap looking snd not too flashy. What would you recommend?
The silver is pretty shiny but I dont think it looks cheap at all. I think the brushed titanium looks really nice and might be my fave. Next I would probably go for the matte black if I had to choose another color
i had these,.... returned them because they are not ready yet, the fact that i have a huuuuge wire hanging from my phone in a day in age where things are streamed is not ogod
That’s why I bought the airgo3, speakers is a must in this kind of smart glasses. And for me screen is the complement. Really happy with the airgo, also normal glasses looking, more frames options, IA, and real time translation, that you listen! Also price is a handicap on these ones, and no transition lens option
@@jerrylim6515 thanks for sharing, but yes, too bulky . And probably battery will be affected by the screen. Airgo3 looks more in the middle. And I like the front frame interchange, no need to Cary charging case, you can charge in any usb-C. And battery last all the day. But yes, it would be nice if they launch also a compatible front frame with screen for some activities
Hahaha, it took me until 20 mins before I realised the thumbnail could be this rocks rather than this sucks. I was waiting for you to explain why you didn't like this. Cool video bud!
I just picked up a used Fold4 for a little over $450--ish, and I'm loving that as a laptop replacement (with a folding keyboard and witsy $3 pocket stand); I was thinking Flip5+VitureOne, but figured it wasn't as comfortably pocketable a solution, and the only reason I was considering a Flip over a Razr (Motorola is my favorite phone manufacturer) was Display Port over USB-C. It also occurs to me that the Flip's and Razr's form factor's only real advantage is that they might be more comfortable in your pocket and you might sometimes avoid opening your full suite of apps if you have screen addiction... Is that worth it for a consumer where this is their main device? Probably not. But if you already use a laptop, or you spend most of your time around some other screen and don't really use your phone when you go out then maybe so.
Nice! Thanks for this. Im completely new to the android market as a whole so it's cool to see how versatile they can be! Glad you found a system that works well for you!
NOT BUYING this! This company has without doubt the absolute WORST PR / information about this product I've ever seen. IF - and that's a big IF - the company actually offered real information about the product rather than showing endless footage about someone's personal experience with it, their feelings when they opened the box, etc., I'd be more inspired to explore it further. There's ZERO real information - just human interest fluff.
I spotted something on the website: "Tackle slopes up to 45% (24°), ensuring even and effective mowing on challenging terrains," so it's not 45deg. How do you sharpen the blade? Is the battery replaceable? Edit: Looks like you replace the blades? How much are replacements?
You’re correct! I got that wrong. Thanks! You don’t sharpen the blades you replace them. They come with extras! Can’t replace the battery as far as I can tell. Not sure how much replacement blades are. Comes with 2 extra sets it seems
They word the features as saying all features ON LAUNCH will be free, but they almost imply that future features they come out with, like map navigation, may not be free. I hope they don't fall off into the abyss that other companies are following with a monthly subscription for basic features. These guys could be the ones to start the true everyday AR trend.
In terms of "specifically for taking notes" the BOOX Go 10.3 is definitely more suited for the task. That one eschews the color and glowlight layers for placing the display layer closer to the surface which improves the writing experience by reducing parallax.
I dont understand why a phone that is deaogned to so so little is larger than an iPhone pro. Part of the reason i want a minimalist phone is to not have a big behemoth of a phone. Off the bat, my main/biggest gripe with this is its size. Also, why cant peolle who want a minimalist phone just get a flip phone or something like a traditional candybar style phone?
Do I have to always have it plugged in? And if so does it have to be plugged into my phone or can i just plug it into a power bank? also does it work with android
