You have trained your students to jump back with the least hint of jin/force from you. Why not teach them to neutralize the force instead of making such a strange show?
anyone notice this a weapons form? you can put several chinese weapons in his hands and it would move effectively. i can think of sai, sword, halberd and chainwhip
Maybe it's real. I once tried to punch a guy for demonstration with a very light punch. It's just coincidence that my punch feels very balanced. The guy said it hurts like hell even if I just punched him very lightly. Dunno how I did that lol.
Why do the guys keep standing straight? if they don't resist and stand with their legs shoulder width, you don't even need fajing to make them fall back with a slight push.
Simple physic nothing extra ordinary now can it be applied against a trained fighter who is constantly moving and trowing punches, kicks, and grappling and trying to take your head off.I seriously doubt it.For all you people who say they are learning this, go out of your class enviroment and test it out and come back and give a honest review.
The student's arms better remain in Peng (appears stiff). If not in Peng, the teacher will move through the arm defense to the chest and that hurts. The sifu is young. If he keeps at it, he should be able to spiral the person like a top...he can already direct some chi downward or upward...most of it is mechanics but at higher levels, you will feel there is no force...it goes inside your body and exits out your back pulling you backward. It is real...the only way to know is to feel it...applicable to MMA? Grappling yes, but a true master will direct your joints into chin na and you are suddenly in a hold...if someone is that good, it is chin na that will break a bone or dislocate a joint. Good luck on finding that teacher.
