I know I'm 7 months too late but here's my 2 cents for the next guy/time. It looks like you went pretty heavy on that first coat. Primer tries to trick you like that. There isn't much pigment in primer so if you are going by the color change as you paint you'll end up heavy. I think you are better off going with a light, consistent 1st coat. This will form a seal and on your second coat you can go heavier and make sure you have 100% coverage. Either way I'm curious how it turned out as far as blocking odor long term. For a job like this I would also highly recommend an extension for the gun. You'd be amazed at what even a 12 or 18" extension does. Way less movement and you can keep your spray pattern even as you get to the limits of your reach. Great work and keep on grinding!
@m.creekrenovations
@m.creekrenovations 3 месяца назад
Wow thanks Bob! I appreciate the support 🙌 Now for the odor blocking the paint has done a great job! I agree I went heavy on the first coat and severely underestimated how many gallons I needed! All in I used around 30 gallons of primer and it took around 2 weeks everyday after work to complete!
@bobcougar77

@@m.creekrenovations Like you said, better to spend more on paint now than to find out later you've got a smoke factory. One of my favorite sayings: There's only 2 types of people. Those that make mistakes constantly and those that don't do anything. Keep being the latter!

You should suck those two tighter with timber lock bolts. They’re approved for lvl And will slip in the first board And tighten the second one up. Lvl strength come from the two being as one.

The fkd up part is the 16" center mark is nice, but depending on how you pull your layout.... You end up removing or adding 3/4" to every red mark, rendering it mostly pointless 😂 Sell me a tape that's got a red mark at 15 1/4, 31 1/4, 47 1/4.... I'll buy it tomorrow.
