2:00 I always get reminded of the party at my cousin's wedding when looking at this, even though it was on a deck and there wasn't a tall gate or those weird lamps. The mind is strange.
Not sure why but i don't find it unnerving but strangely comforting, idk if it's the music or the visuals or just the fact the places look familiar but whenever I feel on edge this video calms me down
I think I've listened to this with my friend over a hundred times in our physics class. i'm trained to be able to study to these songs. i don't know if i should thank you or curse you
1:40 I had a nightmare which was like this once. I was in this horrible wading pool that looks sort of like that but there was a big mushroom in the middle of it that had water coming out from it. It was indoors. Someone, or something, pushed me under that big mushroom and I couldn’t get up because the falling water was too strong I couldn’t breathe. I screamed but only gurgling noises. Then I think I got dizzy and then the dream ended there. Definitely still one of the worst nightmares I ever had to this day.
The first one is scariest because, what even is that space besides the TV for? Is it a passageway for some unknown entity to kidnap me or just a private corner?
I feel like SpongeBob is often remembered for being really funny, and it absolutely is hysterical, but I always loved *how* the humor was presented. Aside from just being able to make me laugh, it has such strong characters both in terms of character design and personality. It has such a distinct visual style with really vibrant, colorful, and painterly landscapes and backgrounds. The music has such a distinct feel and twang to it that just perfectly fits each mood, atmosphere, and tone. All of it is just paced perfectly too every time. If SpongeBob was only the writing it would still be great, but the fact that everything else surrounding the production and execution matches it in terms of creativity and fun it’s really special. I’m 21 years old but I can turn on anything from classic SpongeBob and I still feel like I could quote it all by heart. Really something special, and I think the cultural impact of it is really cool. Don’t have a point to saying any of this other than I think it’s neat. Thanks SpongeBob
Also it’s neat how chill and friendly this comment section is. Usually social media is full of atleast a little vitriol but everyone here is just nice, celebratory, and empathic. This is why I love art honestly, I have such a personal connection to it myself and I can look in here and see how it has positively impacted others too. Cool stuff
