Smashed it out the park again Cal! Next time we are over, we need to find out where you chef! I had a blown wrasse in the week and made some wrasse kebabs as per your tacos. Bloody lovely mate. Thank you!
Sorry, in the video I said the rod was rated 15-30g. Its actually 15-60g. I also have the 30-100g version so to answer your question, no. Personally, I have no need for the "Todos" version of this rod. The expanse will handle any UK fish from the shore all day long 💪🏻
Hi mate, I gutted the fish off camera. Sometimes I'll do it on the beach as it's easier to discard the guts etc. I'll never freeze a fish for eating with the guts in no.
Once again You showed me what I miss the Most Shore fishing in the Celtic sea What about targeting bream with lures? Or only Natural baits? I wait for the next one 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Tight lines
Bream on lures is actually quite a tricky thing to do in UK waters. The best method will be using LRF gear and very small metals. Light float gear for bream is excellent fun, they don't mess about when they hit a bait! I'll be out soon targeting bream with prawns so hopefully that'll be successful! Get into that celtic sea mate, the fish are waiting for you! Thanks 👍🏼
Yet another fab catch and cook video. Thanks Cal. I love the pickled cabbage idea. Have you checked out the Gerber Gutsy? I recently got one for my Birthday from my wife and I am finding it an amazing little tool for opening, gutting and scaling fish! Please keep these amazing videos coming 😊! Cheers x
Me and Jay are out together quite often mate. I don’t do much foraging myself but Jay will always sort me out with some fresh shellfish 👌🏻 Next time we're out together, I'll suggest a cook up on the beach!
Haha yeah I agree mate. My casting skills have faded over the last year or so. Still great to get out and do some bait fishing though, I always love it! Cheers 🎣
Really enjoy the CnC vids, and that looks a great simple fish curry to knock up. Q: You mentioned that Thai curries are a balance between salty, sour, and sweet but I didn’t see you put any sugar or honey in at all, let alone ‘more sugar’ if needed. Did the sugar go in off camera ? Keep doing the CnC vids, they are particularly enjoyable and satisfying to watch.
@@thefluff1 My brother actually messaged me earlier and asked the same thing. Are you local? This was filmed on the north of the island. They regularly shoot up there but it’s not clay pigeon shooting. Pretty sure they’re smashing targets. I have zero more information about it I’m afraid 🤣
@@FISHINGWITHCAL yep a local 🇬🇬 💪🏻. Play golf on the common most weekend and very familiar with the single shot rifles they use but that sounded like rapid fire. Thought the Germans were back 😳
@@thefluff1 Yeah to be honest, I’ve not heard gun fire like that round there before. Could’ve been some sort of competition going on or something? I really don’t know. I’m just glad I didn’t get hit by one of them 😂
So pleased you show cook as well as catch, but for me get rid of the ketchup and perhaps a tad of oyster sauce and sesame oil rather than coconut oil ? Still a joy to watch .
@@kevinfuters7568 Coconut oil is a lot healthier, plus it gives a nicer flavour to a thai curry. Sesame oil is better used in Chinese cooking. Oyster sauce doesn’t belong in any Thai curry in my option. As far as the ketchup goes, it adds a little sweetness to the paste and also a slight twang of tomato. Thanks for the comment though 👍🏼
That video had everything in it Cal, gunfire 💥, pesky wasps🐝, crafty fish🐟, decent garfish, a few expletives😱 and even a Ninja 🥷 plus a tasty 😋 meal. A damn fine video Son 💯
Hi Cal, no need to apologise for the filming mate, it was great. By keeping it real, I felt like I was actually there with you. I enjoyed the longer upload too. Thanks. <><
Excellent. Your catch and cooks are superb, you explain how to the cook the recipes clearly and keep it simple. I will trying this one...............If I can catch a black bream or two, not sure if they live in West Cork tho!
Great video 👏🏻 where I fish in Cornwall it’s similar I love Fishus Lurenzo Espetit, lucky craft gun fish, seekers white and black, sandell pencils, sandy Andy’s , evo bass sabres and Hound glide 👌🏻 added a few of your choices to my list.
@@jamespugh9214 Thanks. I also love the sandy andy lures too, they’re brilliant. Hound glides are always in my lure box as well. Too many lures to name 🤣
