Garbage and they sell this crap at the new scheels! I’m trying to figure out what my stuff weights! Not figure out wtf 200 grains weights if I don’t have nickels! Like just why!
Athens closes its doors but this company stays open by not selling their shit .. makes sense I’ve been waiting a year for this shitty jig now I’m just pissed off OMP products won’t be in my shop from now on take your non locking vise off my table too!
just got mine today and absolutely love it just wishtheywouldhavemadethe tower tooless since the offset is. other than thatdefinetely destroys the bitzenberg
I bought this bow and it was set up originally with a brace height of like 3 inches, and I cannot get a brace height of 7 inches do I keep twisting string until hit that 7 inch mark because the way it sits I cannot adjust tiller enough to get any of those measurements. Help plz
Thank you for reaching out! That’s a lot of twists…its possible that it is the wrong string; it would be recommended to measure both. Could you give a bit more information on the bow and string?
Sounds to me that your string is WAY too long... if your brace height is only 3 inches you need to invest in a shorter string, length of string will depends on the length of your bow. Twisting the string will only buy you an inch or so at best, again, depending on the length of your bow. I'm guessing the string you are using did not come with the bow. NORMALLY the string should be about 3 inches shorter than the labeled AMO length on a recurve bow, this may vary depending on the length of the riser. This is a good starting point and then twisting the string should bring you in to the desired brace height. Strongly recommend you research youtub on how to measure and determining the length of a bow string.
I am real glad I found this video. I have had the vista for a few years now and really enjoy it. I was recently looking at the night rage ILF. I do have my recurve broken down while backpacking / camping. Would I have to make these adjustments each time I take it down put it back together?
Once its set up it’ll be ready to shoot more often than not…if the brace height changes from the string twisting or untwisting it would need to be reset to the proper brace height it was tuned to. Thanks for reaching out; hope this helps!
A "kisser-button" is a small, button-like device that can be attached to your bow-string as an anchor point when at full-draw on a bow. It helps mark the proper place to draw the bow-string to (the corner of one's mouth), and for some people, is a tool for proper alignment. It is very popular in some parts of the country, while it is seldom used or not well-known in others. Hope this helps!
@OctoberMountainProducts Hello, I’m new to archery and have a draw length of about 27”and the bow I purchased second hand is set to its lowest draw length of 28” do you have any suggestions on how I can accommodate the inch with a fatter grip or anything like that without me having to buy another bow?
It actually won't be for sell. It's just to show you a nice product that they'll never have available. I bought it in March with promises of a release in May. It is now November and they don't have the courtesy to let you know that it's not ready.
Hello @jonathan_guerrero, we apologize for the continued pushback on this item and thank you for your patience with us on this product; we are currently working with other departments on getting the jigs in as soon as possible despite major manufacturing setbacks...but we don't want to get a sub-par product in stock for our customers. Currently, our ETA is January 2024. We recommend signing up for stock alerts on our website (product found here:www.octobermountainproducts.com/shop/pro-shop-tools/pro-shop-tools-and-supplies/phoenix-fletching-jig) for upcoming email updates. Thank you for your continued support!
Why announce a product for release in June if you're going to push it back until July, then August, now September? I guarantee you come September you'll say end of October. What a joke lol
@@cootsehh54 I got mine at the end of January actually from Lancaster archery. I sis return it, however. There was a hike that wouldn't align on one of the settings. It also didn't feel lightyears better than my ez fletch in my opinion. After tons of practice with the mini fletch I can get all of my arrows fletched exactly the same. At least that's what I feel lol. I'm truly disappointed in OMP and will try to avoid their products moving forward.
3rd axis should be adjusted at Full draw. Can't be done properly on a fixture. A plum line of reference and at full draw follow the plum line 45 degrees above center and 45 below center alone the line using the Hamskea Gen2Pro 3rd axis level, there may be other brands out there but probably none better.
The latest update from the team puts the current ETA as 9/8. We've been ensuring quality control during the entire manufacturing process and unfortunately, it's taking longer than expected. Thanks for your patience and understanding - they'll be worth the wait!
