Sam jinxed it with the Butch Brown moon theory.

Made the switch to hand tied skirts on all my jigs/spinnerbaits 3 years ago due to rubber skirts disintegrating over time or fish pulling it off. Never went back since. Plus hand tied skirts make the skirt flare out more. You should give them a shot!
