tyvm for the video. from your research, would you say the series 'e' version's IQ is as good as the japanese version of the lens? i've heard about the difference in build quality but not image quality. i have the 'e' series version.
@manugeee
@manugeee День назад
You´re welcome. :-) Yes, I also rechecked this. The Series-E should have a couple of weaknesses, as I have read. One is the only single coating, then the build quality is almost all plastic and what I really would name a deal breaker is the only 0,6m or 2ft close focus distance. Sharpness wise, it should be comparable. How would you rate yours in terms of wide open sharpness?
@seoulrydr
@seoulrydr День назад
@@manugeee Since it is a vintage lens, it has to be really bad AND I don't like it for me to notice how soft or sharp it is. if it's a vintage lens and it's really bad and i DO like it - i don't care. in this case, it seemed to be sharp enough for the images I've taken with it - night shots using a tripod, mostly. I don't remember having any complaints at all.

How do I use this method with lenses other than Nikon f mount, would I need to use a different sony adapter for each different lens manufacturer? Say I wanted to use canon lenses would I have to then use the sony to canon adapter ?

Yes, exactly! The trick is, to convert the Nikon into an E-Mount bayonet camera with the newer adapter. The electronic controls are between Nikon and neewer. And now you can use any old lens and get an adapter from „old lens“ to E-Mount.

Thanks for the video! Sorry did you know where I can buy the cap? And what it's better? Px27A or the cells box?
@manugeee
@manugeee 3 дня назад
The shop is called Ausgeknipst. They have an own store recently. ausgeknipst.de/ I would recommend the cells box due to the voltage issue with 6V Px27A adapters. With the box you have on the other hand the problem, that after half a year or so, the cells are empty. Also you have to wait a little for the reaction when you open the cells seal, and after some short time the voltage is correct and stays correct a long time. So the cells box is better.

Hi there. Glad, that the video helps you. No, the K&F is only used for the mechanical connection. All the electronics are in the Neewer adapter and the camera. So if you have a sony E-Mount manual focus lens, than you can directly attach it and get focus confirm. Cheers. :-)

I have made an update video on this adapter and features provided with a beta firmware version. But to make it short: It works, as explained. I only noticed, that i cannot set up high apperture values on the camera, because then the exposure gets off. Also high apperture values on the lens let the exposure change a little with automatic exposure setups. A little strange, but you can compensate with the exposure compensation dial.
@paulsharp1712

Is there any reason to unmount the adapters in sequence? ie remove F - E adapter, then remove the Neewer adapter from camera? Or is it ok to leave the lens and adapters assembled and remove as one from the camera?
@manugeee
@manugeee 12 дней назад
First the one hand it is said in the manual to unmount first the lens, then the adapter. But i did not notice any problems when unmount both at the same time. But for the case of using it with different focal lenght you need to attach it with the computer and therefore you need to unmount the adapter from camera and lens.
