@@user-vy9ju8ox3p I'm so sorry I'm not fully understanding the question, but from what I'm getting from the question, you can use any kind of oil that is suitable for deep frying. I hope this helps..

@@winfredngina8870 yes you can. It should also work well. It's just that the freshly ground one is always best but if you don't have the seeds,then powder should do as well.

Hi Clara, thanks again for your simplified recipes. I made this cake last night and it came out perfect! I made just one though since I don't have a gas stove, thus cutting down on the ingredients using halves or quatres.
@@MillicentAtieno-cd3lz I've not tried bicarbonate of soda on Mandazi. Hopefully I will then share. What I know though is that if you use bicarbonate, use very little. It has a very uncomfortable bitter taste if you use too much in cake. I think it will be the same for Mandazi if you use too much. Hope this helps.
Hi dear, here I am again with yet another question 👀 yesterday I went shopping to look for the corn flour especially, but I forgot to buy the baking sheet 🤦🏾♀️..I was wondering if greasing my heavy sufuria with flour and butter will stop the cake from sticking?
@@MaryWanjiru-m1r The cake should be just fine even with a fairly heavy sufuria if baking in the oven. I have also baked cakes in a sufuria and they worked okay. For this one though, I prefer using baking paper because it can break apart if I try to get it out of the pan now that it has no gluten. But I think you can still bake it in a greased and dusted pan. If it looks like it is sticking, cut it up and serve from the pan. Hope this helps! Thanks so much for watching too!
@@ifeomaonyenankie I try not to use too much yeast. The measurement I used in the recipe is just enough. I'm not sure though about removing the yeast taste completely.
