I tried to send an email asking this but my question was basically ignored so i figured i would have a better chance here... I had bought the original lock pick card years ago and i recently saw it was replaced with new version (the city rake lockpick card ?) Is the original basically ineffective ? I am curious what the reasoning behind phasing it out was ? Thanks !
Hi! First off I'm sorrybifbyour email didn't get answered we always answer every email that comes through so something out of the ordinary must have happened. We added the rake card, and the hook card to our line of lock picking cards not to phase out the original but more to expand the options of picks we could provide. There's dozens of pick styles out there and we just wanted to provide some more options. In the future if you have questions you can always email us at customerservice@grimworksho.com they should always answer that one if they don't though you can email me personally at Jordan@grimworkshop.com and I'd always be happy to answer any questions you have.
Thank you for the clarification ! Sorry for the confusion, you guys got back to me but basically sent me a link to the new card disregarding my question so i went ahead and assumed the CS rep just didnt know (which is understandable) I recently bought the hook lockpick card and the quality and finish has really improved a lot compared to the original one i purchased which is no longer sold and ill certainly be picking up the rake card later as well, thanks again !
Putting an adjustable lanyard through the whole at the bottom of the sling and then snugging it to your wrist will make using it much easier as it will counteract or resist the force of pulling the bands.
@@edwardssistershands sure that's an option. But we wanted to show an option for everyone else, who doesn't feel like climbing down. It was also just an example of one way you could use it.
@@grimworkshop9830 Yes. We get that. But damn... how much trouble one have to endure before climbing down to pick your stuff up is the better option? Thanks!
@@rzznakhvonvoraath4566 your absolutely right, but #1 not everyone does that even if they should and #2 there's still items that can fall, and don't have lanyards.
The only issue I have with the slingshot is it's so small and then that it's hard to get a proper grip on it and after extended use dogs into your hand a bit.
One thing about cane pole fishing.... The tip needs to be wrapped about 18" down from the tip, use either mono or dacron, it reinforces and helps to prevent snapping. I do this even with fiberglass poles as well.
@@hobojyk7435 if you scroll to the bottom there's a video showing the can opener being used. I would suggest getting some castration bands or something like that from a farm supply store and putting it in the inner part of the ring to make it more comfortable( like a dog tag silencer sort of)
@@grimworkshop9830 You can make your own heavy duty rubber bands in your choice of thickness by slicing up an inner tube to something like a bike tire
Your cards looks awesome. I learned about you from Zach Fowler. He's a awesome guy, also I'm a new RU-vidr, I'm learning a lot from you guys thank you. Much love and respect
