Oritamefa Baptist Church, Ibadan. Our mission is to proclaim the Good Tidings of Jesus Christ to all men in this end time (Acts. 1:8) starting from our Jerusalem (Ibadan) to other parts of the world. We strongly believe that a person is saved in order to serve the Lord by fulfilling the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20. "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, sand teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age".
Congratulations to our dear Orita Mefa BC on the birth of another Mission Church in Elega Area of Ibadan. God Himself will grow the Mission Church reaching and winning souls for the resurrected Christ and be self sustaining in few years. More grace to do exploits for the Lord Jesus.
Thank you Lord Jesus for making us to see this last month of the year, 2023. Your grace and mercy will carry us through and over to the year 2024 in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
Congratulations to our amiable brother, father, friend, mentor and Reverend! My one and only quarter master at the 1971 SU Camp at the Mayflower School ,Ikenne,Ogun State. That memory is quite indelible,I must confess. His impact on the lives of our children @ the Orita Mefa Baptist Church, Ibadan many years ago and many more. We wish him many more beautiful years serving God and man as the lines continue to fall unto him on very pleasant places in Jesus Christ mighty name amen. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIR! Our God is good.
JESUS SAVED MY LIFE FROM THE DEVIL 4 years ago, my relationship with God was not good. I used to go to Church every Sunday and hear the word of God. I will then try to be a good boy and do God's will, but by Tuesday, I would have gone back to my sinful ways. I was continuing like this until the COVID pandemic, when we stopped coming to church. My relation with God broke completely and I started fully living a life of sin. By the time church continued after the COVID pandemic, I was already fully in my sinful ways. The only reason I still used to come to church was because of my parents. In my life of sin, I thought I was enjoying myself, because I was satisfying all my sinful desires. I stopped listening to people's advice and I became stubborn. As the years went by, it got to a point where I didn't even believe that God was real again. I just wanted to enjoy myself and satisfy my desires. However by 2023, I became sad and discouraged. Everytime I thought about my future I could only see suffering. I was crying every night before I slept and in the morning when I woke up. I started considering giving my life to Christ again because I still used to come to church. But I told myself that my sadness was just a phase I was passing through and I will soon continue enjoying myself. But the sadness continued. For many weeks, I debated in my mind if I should give my life to Christ or not. But I decided to continue living my life of sin. I told myself I will survive because there were many rich and successful people that did not believe in God. Many sinners are rich and have successful lives. However, one night I had a dream, where God showed me that there are things the devil can do to me that no amount of money or success can solve. I woke up and was fully convinced that only God can save me from the devil. That morning on August 14, I prayed to Jesus to save my life. I thank God because, he answered my prayers and saved me from the devil. Since that day my life has been full of peace and joy. I no longer worry about my future because I know that God is in control of my life. I want us to always take the sermons that we listen to in church seriously, because they played an important role in me choosing to come back to God. I also thank God because now I have the Holy Spirit in me, and nothing, or any COVID pandemic, can ever separate me from God again. I want all of us to rely on the Holy Spirit and always follow his guidance, so that nothing will separate us from God.
