I recently signed up to Cara love the platform. I'm a photographer and honestly it's so nice to be in a place with other photographers and other artists. It reminds me of what Instagram used to be like back in 2010.
they've been doing it for years. they just now announced it as if it just started. I left instaspam in 2020 when I saw who they were. now on decentralized and open source platforms.
Wish I could add to the conversation about my experience with talking to ai-only artists, but I’ve been randomly blocked from commenting, and I’m not sure why 😅 This is my 2nd attempt to see if I can actually comment! If not then I’m giving up lol.
Wow looks like my comment actually posted! 😂 Well, all the AI only artists I’ve talked to are mostly people who never got to try being in the creative field before… now they suddenly have this tool that makes it possible for them to generate something on the level of actual artists. For them it’s like suddenly being able to use a superpower for the first time. They are just using the tool the universe has given them… it seems really unfair but that’s life, don’t we know that? We aren’t entitled to having our problems solved, we have to put in the effort to solve them. I think that’s what this video is trying to get across too… trying to find ways that could help artists move on and adapt. Maybe we can also discover a new superpower in areas of life we’ve never tried before…
Dig your vision. Future of tech, sure... Though - the Spacetop G1 -- I just looked it up, it's mostly for running Web-apps.... Productivity stuff- powerpoint, word, amazon.... The resolution on the glasses is fairly tiny... So, it may look like 100" display, but you can't run Photoshop / Painter / Zbrush / etc.... I'm sure there's a lot you can do, but it's not really the device for creating art. But I"m sure many other manufacturers will follow suit. There are already standalone glasses that give you a big display that you can watch movies on, etc... Guess it's a matter of when can they run dual 4K displays' worth of content on a pair of glasses....maybe put your actual screen in either blank mode, or use it as a display for clients (you got your glasses on, you do your magic w/ the stylus, etc -- and the output goes onto the screen for the viewers/clients/etc.
If AI is mining different styles, then they shouldn't charge. How about a tenure system where people actually SUBMIT their work to an AI app, and if they continue to do so, they can get the app for free?
I was thrilled to join this app, but I have a problem: it won't let me set my avatar. I uploaded it just fine, but Cara won't save it. I tried decreasing the size (which was already small) of my avi, resetting my device & all the other usual maneuvers. ???
It never will be. Only people i see join are fellow artists. How are you gonna grow when the only people who are around you are the same little echo chamber
Harper’s Bazaar. Bizarre 😮 subtitles. 😊 Guess pronunciation will have to count more with these auto (AI?) subtitling unless a better AI editor makes corrections on the final version. But the pun runs well for me. 😂
