The problem is they cannot sell that on their lot. So they would need to sell that at auction. You would be better off selling it privately. I am sure they told you that too actually.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what would this car be worth at auction or to a private seller? My mindset is that people wouldn’t want someone else’s project
An auction meant for cars like this absolutely! CarMax would need to sell it at THEIR auction and they expect to get $15k at that auction based on cars sold similar to this one. The people at their auction are other car dealers. Not collectors or enthusiasts. They don't make money off auction cars. They make the money from auction fees.
They gave me 5k for a 2011 Corolla that has a oil leak that reqired a new engine to fix, broken radio, paint was damaged beyond repair and the thing vibrated when drove....
Right lol these idiots upgrade just the engine and every thing else has to play catch up. Car enthusiast does not equal engineer. Safety in this 1000 bhp bucket is 0/5.
I’m looking into getting new rear tires as I struggle with gaining traction in early gears (1-3 mainly). Did you keep your stock front tires and switch to the Nittos in the rear only?
Have you gotten it dyno'd? I have pretty much the exact same set up but with AA catted and AWE touring exhaust. Running the ots flex fuel map with e50 blend. I've seen a similar setup dynod at ~490whp which is my goal.
@@boostedblvd $2200 to ship the ecu out get unlocked + bm3 license + map pack!? Who did you go with. Been wanting to to do my 21 Supra. Gotta do it sooner then later
OStar also did my FEMTO and XHP Stg2. Ive run E30 blend with good results but typically run 93 and enjoy it thoroughly. I opted for a Bimmer Network downpipe which was pretty much the widest I could find to use on stock exhaust. Ive got stock everything else: intake, charge pipe, even tires (coming soon).
@@boostedblvd Why did you not get into the issues you had at OStar? I have a '22 3.0 and live in Lakeland. I will be looking to get mine tuned soon. Did you have a bad experience with them or something?
@@boostedblvd Wait...so you didn't have to ship it to Sweeden? I was planning on getting the JB4, but only because I didn't want to ship my ecu off. Was OStar able to unlock yours for you? (please forgive my ignorance if this is some kind of touchy subject)
From the looks of it I’d say yes, probably a 15-20 mm rear, I can’t tell on the front. I chose to do 13mm all around for a more subtle look but leaving room if i ever upgraded tire widths. Hindsight though i shouldve done 15 rear. I think the OEM front track is marginally wider than the rear. Now I’m considering just doing an entire wheel and tire swap and ditching the spacers
