Hi, My name is Sarah and this is my Crochet Vision! I make my own crochet patterns and finished items and sell them at www.crochetvision.com I'll be sharing all of my market tips and tricks as well as crochet tutorials, knitting machine tutorials and small business behind the scenes!
I don’t crochet for my business but I do machine embroidery. Most of the Vendors I use state that the patterns cannot be used as mass market unless permission is approved.
Have you done this events around the holiday's? I am wondering if you could do a kinda getting ready for a holiday/Fall event I am pretty booked for Sept & Oct and would love some tips. Do you find Fall to be a good time for vendors? Another good video how do you stop or what you look for so your not scammed. I was scammed and would love to hear tips.
Hi, Sara! I'm new to your channel. Here is what I would like to let you know. I love your channel. Your awesome at what you do. I am totally amazed at how fast you can whip out your cooler than shit plushies! Don't let the haters get your goat. I love what you do girl! Your awesome sauce!
Seeing someone act that way to attract her as someone who sees a tractor on her drive to work almost every single day is insane to me how different peoples lives can be. It’s a cool experience and until you’re running late, get stuck behind it forever.
I work for an agricultural company, in a tiny farm town. Seeing tractors on the highway is pretty, common. My boss stores his tractor in town in the warehouse till they get a barn up on the farm
I appreciate you both sharing what makes a good event, great event, etc. I am learning lots! I love your store items! So much fun! May the next one be better!
I agree that manufacruring a plushy based of a crochet pattern takes away from the fact that it is a crocheted item....in my opion i dont think its bad crocheting big box characters for markets cause we small business owner will never make as much money from them that the corporations make and the world knows who the credit goes to for those original designs/ideas....if anything they should be thanking is for make their stuff more popular with a different spin😊....but i def would NOT take a for example a crochet hello kitty and have it manufactured and i would NOT do that with someone elses crochet pattern...most of the items i make are from free patterns and when i post pics of them i make sure to credit the designer always on the first post...maybe not on a second post of the item but ALWAYS on the very first post....but i will have to make a point to credit the designer on every post i make
I would love to pick your business brain, some things are a bit confusing 😞 I love NY and can't imagine living anywhere else but dang we r getting out of control expensive 😭 and we have road driving trackers on the east end of Long island 😂
@crochetvision I've been pretty worried my whole farmers market season. Only the first 2 days were decent but it just seemed to go down hill from there. The traffic seems slow and when it's heavier people are just looking
road tractors just happen in rural places. common sight on sand mountain in alabama too lots of small small small towns (the one ive been living in only has around 1000 people. coming from a city right next to columbus ohio its .. something.
lol you are so funny about the tractor lol, as ex farmers we did use the road a lot to go from fields to fields, that's total normal :) now back to finish watching your video :)
The way I could go shopping in your yarn collection 😂 I need to learn to cake mine first though because I'm out of room. P.S. used this video as an opportunity to clean up/kinda organize my own office/craft/sewing room so thank you 😊🎉
More and more vendors and small businesses are asking clients to pay in cash, because if you cumulate all the small fees, it becomes a substantial amount at the end of the year. Those small businesses explain why. However, most still offer the card option though.
I don't know how large this last event was but my husband and I go to a place called Boxwood Farms that has small events over the summer and fall and he advertises the event as 'cash preferred' I have no opinion of cash or card, we keep cash in the car for farm stands and what not so we always have cash and card. But if it's an event like this and venders prefer cash, thats something that should be advertised.
You crack me up, In my state of Nebraska Tractors are a EVERYDAY THING. They drive on the HIGHWAY ALL THE TIME. And sometimes you will get lucky to hear about the BIG PROBLEMS HERE when you are listening to the scanner and you hear a call go out for a COW or SHEEP or PIG on the highway and they need to get there ASAP. Lol yep it happens ALL THE TIME!!!!! lol
Did other vendors say why they aren’t taking credit cards? Would assume it has nothing to do with taxes and avoiding to pay taxes…never say never we though! My take on no credit cards would be because people are “buying” then disputing charges. I don’t know how easy it is for a business to fight this but I would expect there’s a reason some won’t do credit cards. I would also put out there, if you are taking credit cards charge that fee back to the customer. All of my household bills have extra fees if I pay with a credit card…so do the same. My car repair place charges an additional 5ish percent to pay with a CC. They have a sign that says “save 5% if you pay with cash”…you can sure bet I show up with cash!! I know this might be a small amount of cash, but any cash saved is worth it to me.
