I got this set. It's perfect for the DIY and home jobs I do. The recip saw is really efficient for what it is. The circ saw is a bit weak, but it is handy for cross cutting 2x4s in awkward places.

I bet if you put better blades in the saws they’ll work even better. Definitely a tool lineup, not made to be used every day on a job site. With all of the tool options that take the same battery , I think it’s a great lineup of tools. You really should be driving screws in the 1 position.

I have a lot of brushed and brushless motor power tools… they’re all about the same on the job… comparing them together you’ll see a difference but most workers could care less since they’ll find a way to abuse their power tools anyhow 🗿 That said, take care of your tools and only abuse them every so often guys… that’s the secret for them lasting the 3yr avg lifespan for most workers 🤫

I'm glad you did the follow up. So many people say they'll give a follow up after theyve put tools / other items through the rounds. I just watched your first video and was really hoping your dad followed up on the "gonna take them to the job site" promise he made in the first video. Thanks for following through!

I wish they offered a customizable tower option. They offer three boxes @ $149 as a set and if purchased separately the price would be $89, $59, and $49 for a total of $200 (rounded up). I would rather have the bottom box and the two drawer tradestack box for $149. I feel this would give a better option for big and small tools. Overall it looks like a great system and I will be getting it. May have to look for sale or bargains and customize anyway.

Would've liked to see an explanation on how the automatic line feed system is supposed to work on this model. Mine won't feed. Brand new out of the box. So I still didn't get my question answered 😢

Watched this review; IMO if you can live w/o the blower, Craftman does sell the weed wacker solely w 5ah battery. Trade off is the blower or stronger battery. I got tired b4 the battery ran low. 😊 It was only $34 dollars more not on sale.

I purchased the then equivalent same 8 or 9 tool RYOBI combo kit from Home Depot 9years or more ago, only my kit came with incandescent light, and 2 of the 1.5Ah One+ HP batteries. Since that time, RYOBI's changed up this tool kit a little bit, made a few advancements here and there, but still have this same tool kit. Ryobi offers 3 levels of DIY in their product line that's often as clear as mud to the uninformed/uneducated buyer. I Surely Do Wish This Was Not The Case, as I Would have much more respect for them as brand. They will remain in the DIY segment, offering what amounts to a best a step below professional-grade. My Free Advice to any budding journeyman that's seriously considering becoming a professional, go ahead step upto the bigboy tools as financially plausible. Given our current economic climate, you may need to do this incrementally, which is fine but do not over invest in tools that aren't designed to perform at the pro-level. They usually perform quite reliably upto a point, but there's that point at which you'll need more, and they will not have more to. If you test this advice, you will find it to be true.

I'm a Kitchen and Bath contractor, I use Ryobi tools on the job and Makita at the home shop. I have used Ryobi since the blue and yellow days, still have a couple of tools that are useable. If and when the tools die I will replace with brushless but that hasn't happened yet. The 4 Amp hour batteries are great, some of mine are 8-10 years old and doing the job. I even bought my wife a Ryobi battery op lawnmower for use around her gardens- she loves it and thinks the exercise she gets pushing it around is a good thing.(I do too) I originally bought Ryobi for the price but now I see some of my co workers with the more expensive stuff having to replace tools that die and I don't see why I should spend the extra $$$ for unreliable performance. One thing I don't do is beat on tools or leave them in the wet or use dull blades or bits. Keep them clean and dry and they will last, doesn't matter what brand.

Thanks for your review. I agree with you on the location for the storage of the miter gauge, just not convenient. I turned the little plastic holder (two screws holding it to the frame) so the slot for the gauge is on the outside and the wrenches are on the inside.

The whole Milwaukee DeWalt thing seems to be more about showing off and fan boying over certain brands than anything else a hell of a lot of times but as the old man said for 200 bucks you can't go wrong if you get 2 years work out of them

When all it would've took was one good swing from a real axe to cut that little sappling down, heck even my unborn childs lil hatchet would've done it, looks cool though. Reminds of them hardcore hammer axes I got, they look cool but thats about it. I would never waste my money again on that brand.

Those gears are not "Plastic". They are made with "Nylon" which is actually much better than metal as "Nylon" is self-lubricating and will outlast most steel or cast iron in this kind of application.

lol, yeah because saw stop, grizzly, delta, power matic etc all use "nylon". Hilarious comment.

I've now killed 2 brushed reciprocating saws, terrible design. Motor gets roasting and melts off the plastic cooling fan, no overheat protection just goes until smoke is belching out. Also some 5ah batteries I got 6 months ago, self discharge at an incredible rate. Still have the Blue Ryobi circular saw, and goes well after all these years.

I use the tradestack professionally as a contractor, mostly doing solar installs. Absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone. The price point is great, the boxes are extremely rigid and up there with Milwaukee (the other system I use often - at some jobsites). It is real useful with the CMST21417 miniature bins too.

I’m an hvac contractor I use Dewalt and Milwaukee every day my opinion ryobi tools are made for homeowners but I’ve seen them in a construction side (window installation) working like any other brand I even ask the guy his opinion about it he told me that he bought it because of the price but he is happy and planning to upgrade to the hp + line ,recently I bought a ryobi 18g nailer work fantastic I believe if you are a contractor planning to use them every day buy the hp+ line brushless A friendly reminder treat your tool well clean them at least once a month all it takes is a little bit of wd40

Buddy, I think you used the bag wrong. See those plastic slots inside the canister where the hose goes in? You have to slide the fitting square of the bag into that *before* you put the hose in. Voila! I had and loved one of these for years, BEFORE they started makin' them all cheap-o. Looking for s.thg comparable. Seeing's how Shop-Vac ended with COVID and I can't even get bags for the Shop-Vac Micro (1 gallon only and too small I've decided) I was lookin' at getting another 1.5. Now me afraid (ha ha). Thank you!

lol - the cardboard on the back is suppose to be slid into the holder lanes next to the hose. just trim it so it fits, then screw in the hose.

I have probably about 75 percent of the tools Ryobi sells, so far so good, my biggest complaint is the batteries. If you only occasionally use the tools, you have to stay on top of the batteries. For example if you have a battery sit too long with a low charge is can very easily fail when you do try to charge it. I have had a handful of my batteries fail and needless to say they can get expensive I have a few dewalt tools some over ten years old, and I still have the original batteries. Ryobi should do the same thing Dewalt does, of course batteries are the money maker for ryobi. I also have a bunch of the Ryobi 40V tools. But even with the frustration with the batteries, and still like my Ryobi products!

When I sold in my original home I left all the gas equipment as part of the deal. I have a relatively small yard now and this is the way to go but these will be a challange for larger yards. I used to have 3/4 acre where gas equipment was the way to go. For the money, it cant be beat especially when its on sale for 100 dollars at Lowes. I am at the age that I do not want to deal with gasoline (except for my Stihl blower which I wll never part with). I got rid of all my gas equipment except for my Stilh backback blower. I have not looked back. I really like the ability of the blower as it is very light weight and perfect for daily cleaning of the patio. for someone who wants a useful reliable tools this combo gets the job done efficiently. Thanks for your review.

I've owned this table for over a year and LOVE it! I'm an older woman enjoying learning how to use power tools, but no room for a full size workbench. You also showed an exact example I was wondering about - how to secure a 4x4 block of wood to drill a shallow hole in the top for a candle cup. Thought I might need a vise, but you demonstrated it for me without one - thanks! 😊
