There is no LEAN. People engage the parking brake and exit vehicle. Try exiting WITHOUT parking brake engaged and be amazed the t lean is gone. If you already have spacers you will have lean again after disengaging parking brake. I have an sr5 and a trd off road. Neither have lean.
UCA not needed under 3inches. You can go .85 to 2.5 in the front ZERO difference in stiffness between settings. I recommend replacing all 4 shocks. I’ve done 2.5/1.5 on an sr5 you will need 1.5 spacer in the rear)with 265s. Also on a trd off road 3/2 you will need to add 1/4 inch spacer in front on top of fronts and a 2inch in the rear.
Common issue, WHEN YOU NEGLECT KEEPING YOUR WHEELS TIGHT!!!!!! These trucks NEED to b Checked on after EVERY BATTERY PACK!!!!!! ITS CALLED MAINTINENCE!!!!!
You can install a complete new suspension package from someplace like Dobinsons, icon, old man emu, etc… you would need all new coil springs and struts/shocks. I personally like a slightly firmer ride which the Dobinsons gave us on a previous 4Runner. It helped eliminate the nose dive when braking and felt more stable overall.
You got to see a 959 in motion!!! Both the 959 and Ferrari had Montana plates. A lot of nice rides there! Might have to scoot up there some Friday for one.

I am the owner on this Taco and I can testify that the shake is completely gone at all speeds after the needle bearing delete. Prior there was an intermittent shake starting at 45mph all the way up to 85 mph. Was getting so bad the entire steering wheel would shake my arm. I have had several shops tell me the problem cannot be replicated. I am so glad Turbo was able to get this swapped and in turn fixing all shake! Very nice video and explanation!
dude, I've been wanting to do the same to my first gen fit for a while. but haven't found any videos on anybody doing it. My thing feels like it's been lowered. I know it hasn't been but the ride height is terrible. what year of insight shocks did you use?
2010 Insight loaded struts in front, rear shocks and rear coil springs. Then the 30mm eBay spacer lift on top of that. Also a pair of Fit swaybar links.
I don't go off-roading, but I live in Colorado. So it'd be nice to have that extra clearance when we get a snow storm. Plus I could take advantage of those spots at work that they sacrifice to pile snow onto, that would otherwise be unavailable to me for a week or two.
I believe it's the 2nd gen Insight, that you get the parts from, right? I've literally just starting looking into lifting my 1st gen Fit earlier today xD
@@turbostoybox2182 Awesome. Thanks! Don't plan on doing it till I'm sure of what I need to order. Aaand I might get my windshield ceramic tinted first.. It's getting hot already, and we're barely out of spring xD
@@Hachiro so we ordered complete insight front strut assemblies and rear shocks, insight oem rear coil springs, original front swaybar links for the fit, and then the 30mm lift kit from eBay for the Honda Fit/Jazz.
Looks like a nice trip minus the rain. One of our first stays in the rooftop tent at High Rock included one of those Superior thunderstorms. That's an experience!
Enjoying the video 👍. If you twist your straps at the suspended section it will prevent them from whistling. Keep the strap flat where it contacts your vehicle or equipment. Edit: someone already mentioned this 😅😂
Great vid! A tip from years of roof hauling kayaks - put a twist in any long straight run of the strap that you use to hold the load down - it will eliminate the whale noises. :)
Also yeah as soon as I saw it come out of the barn I knew it didn't have the right front fenders The bumpers are also incorrect And taillights of courseGood luck with that project can't wait to see it, I will subscribe
@@turbostoybox2182 m codes should be on the birth cert. But look at the trim holes. see if they are drilled or factory stamped Look and see in the floor area if there is something covered up on the crotch cooler area. you can buy all the parts to install them from BBT. also Repop original split moldings $$$$$
@@Mikefngarage Spent hours looking thru old forum posts today. Nearest I can figure it was a std with sunroof which was stupid rare I guess? Maybe with optional side molding? I haven’t been able to locate any other tags yet in the trunk area except the one I had the picture of in the video.
@@turbostoybox2182 more I think about it.....that is a standard. and at some point somebody drilled the doors for trim. would have no crotch coolers, that steering wheel. they usually came in that color (very common) I didnt see the seats in there I hope you got them they are super expensive. probably at least 3 grand. Check the hood and make sure its a 5 hole with long support, Big spring decklid with the v shaped spring holder. if i recall correct the standards didnt have horn grills. if it is missing a lot of parts go to Bad Camberg. and find them there. Will cost a bit to ship them but you wont find them in the US. way cheaper there. email Bob at BBT if you go there and see if anyone is sending out a container. Put the parts in with someone elses stuff. Very cool to have a standard or deluxe split. all super desirable.
Very cool. Will need some $$$$$ new fenders (correct ones) Round grills. split window bumpers. (crotch cooler or before?) are the crotch coolers there? 16 inch rims $$$. Lind gets containers of those fenders from BBT and sells them very good prices. 1/2 the cost of other places. He is in idaho If your out and about. gonna take some $$$ and time. Lets hope there is not too much hidden rust.
Dude that thing is awesome. Plan on doing this to my ge8. How’s the ride on the road so far? Off-road it seems great. I only want the clearance for getting into parking lots without scraping every time.
