Video game channel focusing on multiplayer simulator gameplay. Compilations, analysis and tutorials for games such as DCS, IL-2, BMS, Combat Pilot and soon. The channel was started in Dec. 2019 but I have been playing simulators for over a decade.
This is the same Enigma from WWIIOL and I continue to fly with the same group of people from then. I go by Enigma or Enigma89 depending on the game.
Feel free to get in contact with me via Discord, here is my Discord Server: discord.gg/enigma89
The ship with hull number 31 is the Belknap class cruiser USS Sterett DLG/CG-3. This is pretty cool for me to watch as I served in the early 70's on a Farragut class DLG/DDG and a Leahy DLG/CG. I was a Radarman RD on my first ship USS Dahlgren DLG-12/DDG-43 and a Operations Specialist OS on my second ship DLG/CG-20 and worked in CIC. Steamed extensively in the Med and North Atlantic playing with the Soviets. The migs would never have gotten within visual range if we knew the situation was hot. Why not use your radar if you got it?? Waiting until an enemy plan is within gun range to fire on it is what they did in WW2... A more realistic scenereo would be to have the patrol boats as Osa or Komar missile patrol boats. They carried the Styx anti-shipping missiles which kept us up at night...
I think DCS needs to partner with either Microsoft flight sim OR X-Plane to integrate the entire world at current and previous years can you imagine flying over all of Europe, Pacific and Asia during WW2. The missions just to fly from NY in a B-17 to Iceland then to Ireland would be incredibly difficult if mechanical issues and weather realism were part of of the reality.
the problem of dcs is its own community, full of wise men; They inflated this game so much with the hype for each module (that they already knew it was going to be unfinished but they still bought it). I believe the community gets what it deserves.
Wow. Awesome. I don't have a gaming computer but, Im ex Naval aviation, a medically retired airline captain. I know now own a small construction company. In 6 days Im having brain surgery. Its a long dangerous surgery. I can't live without having the surgery. Hopefully it will be successful. I've decided, if I can, Im going to build a powerful gaming computer over the coming Xmas holiday. These simulation games, including Microsoft Flight Sim and X-plane have become so amazingly realistic and I miss flying. I think the simulation could be very enjoyable.
Just brought my first pilot joystick to play on war thunder. I’m enjoying it but it’s bothering me that i can’t seem to find the keybind for rudder. Also I don’t know how to look around anymore because I can’t find a keybind for that either😂 even if I did find it I still don’t know how map the stick button as there’s no actual button to click Any help is appreciated
I gather the civilian stuff is non playable by the player, but is all the military stuff playable? For example can I use the P3 Orion for sandbox missions
Comparing DCS to museums as a virtual museum for digital high fidelity versions of sometimes historic aircraft so they are preserved and can be enjoyed by everyone is a great analogy. AND concerning the problem of long development. they just released new low fidelity aircraft at lower cost to add to the FC3 module, so looks like that problem is solved. All we beed now is more and better developed maps, We need the Kola map better worked out to fight the Russian agressor threatening Europe right now :p
war thunder jets looks very fun but i am stuck at the 3rd f-4u corsair. The game is no more fun for me and i refuse to spend money on it because i play too little
Thank u for this. You sir should be paid by war thunder for such work. I dont have the damn patience to do this all myself i keep trying to put things in remember and always forget what is what. Started doing 2 letters for shit like ignite boosters id put I,B lol
Thats a really good effort from the creators. Plenty of different units of all types. The research of all those must have been a very long winded job! I hope to see the Typhoon Ballistic missile submarine there in the future. I for one can't wait for this to be released! Its got that cold waters feel to it but with everything else going on as well.
For me, I spend most of my time on sim since its more relaxing, immersive and enjoyable with friends. Yet I do play RB when I need quick SL even tho I hate getting 193729282 missile RWR 50km away
Unlike any other jet, on the skyray you do want to use gun convergence because the guns are realy far out on the wings. Overall the Skyray gets a very modern package for its time. Good exceleration. Search and track radar, missiles, ballistics calculator for cannons and rockets, good foreward visibility, good manoverability and exceleration, the entire plane is designed for lower speeds compaired to the phantom and starfighter and the mig 21 which makes it feel a bit more like a F-16 rather then any other jet of its era. I earned it during the event and been loving it ever since. It is probably my favourite jet in war thunder.
There in lies the Soviet tactics. Overwhelm the ships with most likely land-based, or Air assets.... then the ships can finish off whatever is left. You only have so many missiles and defense, but some tactics were not utilized by the US player. No worries the game is not even out yet.
When an FFG is underway the four HF Whip Antenna's are lowered into the horizontal position for the Mk75 Gun Mount not to hit them with projectiles. They are raised when Flying Stations are in force.
Wonder if they’ll add battery Oerlandet which is a WW2 battleship gun turret. It was service until 1968 so it should still fit in the early war time period
He just didn't use it. It can't be accurate or inaccurate if you don't lock anything with your radar to use the radar gun sight. To be fair, I don't actually know if they have it modelled for this or not anyway.
@@5bStix some but not all. Some that should 100% have it don't (even in RB not just Sim), and it's usually aircraft like this with the older style HUD (i know there's a different name for it when it was these kind rather than the full blown modern HUD's I just can't remember what they were called right now). Pretty sure the J-7E still doesn't have it, and the "radar" that is has it literally meant directly for the gun, it's just a gunsight radar. And it even has the modern HUD yet still doesn't have this (I think, maybe it got added but it was missing for the LONGEST time). It might, it might not, I don't really know for this particular aircraft, don't own it, and never flown it in game personally.
@@evangalinsky2499 Fair enough. It’d be pretty disappointing for a premium vehicle like this not to have it but I suppose not surprisingly given Gaijin’s track record.
@@5bStix it's not a premium tho? I don't think it is anyway. I don't remember my F-11 being a premium, only an event vehicle with standard TT rewards, so I'd think the F4D would be the same. I could be mistaken, I haven't played in a long time now so I wouldn't doubt if that's the case, but if my memory serves correct, the F4D, like the F-11, isn't a premium, just an event vehicle. They appear in the premium's side of the tree but they share the same like, blue color on the cards of the normal TT vehicles as far as I remember, not gold like a premium or green like a squadron vehicle.
Cool fights! Agreed that it's fun seeing all the different aircraft and how they perform :) the little history in the beginning of the video adds to the atmosphere as well :)
GKS Simulations just released the Mig-25 Foxbat for MSFS 2020. Since i have never seen/heard of it anywhere else, would you be willing to make a video on it? It is to my knowledge nearly fully modeled. I don't know of any other game where you can actually fly a Mig-25. I think it would be interesting for every cold war era fan.
@@Enigma89 Yeah i understand, BUT there is a weapon mod by the same developers :) And the radar seems to work too. But yeah, as you said MSFS isn't specifically for combat.
From personal past experience, GKS are good at making it *look* like a lot has been modelled but their systems modelling tends to be incorrect and their flight modelling is... let's just say that it wouldn't compare favourably with casual games in most cases. Against my own better judgement I bought two of their products (one FSX, one MSFS) and was severely let down both times - I would've been let down even if they were free, let alone with how much I paid. Don't make the same mistake I did and be the one who spends way too much money on something that isn't modelled anywhere near correctly just because nobody else modelled it... the entire civvie sim space is so full of shysters exactly because that business model keeps working for them and there isn't any quality control on the part of the actual sim developers themselves when it comes to third party addons.
@@rossmum Yeah those are valid points. I will still buy it because the Mig-25 is my all time favorite airplane, and there is, to my knowledge, no sim where it is nearly as well modeled. And from the videos i have seen on it, it is good enough for me personally. And i am quite sure that we might never see one in DCS - (But i hope i will be wrong).
well then it's a good thing this is WT and not Ace Combat. (by no means am I calling WT a Sim, but calling it an arcade game isn't exactly right either, hell, missiles, especially missile seekers, are modelled more accurately in this game than they are DCS. WT has an arcade game mode, but its nothing like an actual arcade game)
Gaijin doesnt realize the massive gold mine they are sitting on with simulator battles. if you look at the market now you will see that alot of modern simulator games dont have the variety of aircraft WT has. im over here praying that they wakeup and add more to Sim Battles since its pretty fun but at the current game the maps are extremely small and people just fly really low and really fast while spamming missiles. i would love to see the Korean peninsula like in Falcon 4.0. a large map will stop people from spamming the afterburner and be forced to not fly low if they want to get kills because lets be honest you wont be finding targets flying low. you need to use that powerful radar at high alt to find your targets.
Dude forget WT as a simulator game, I quit about 2 years ago, they actively fuck SIM game modes in the ass time and time again. It once was fucking fun AND you could get RP and SL from it. they took the fun, the RP gain and the SL. just stop playing this shit game, I had so much fun playing actual good games since I quit WT, best decision ever, even thought I have thousands of hours in it and basically all TT top tier.
If only WT actually had proper flight models. Aircraft feel so similar, wing stall isn't modelled properly, aircraft are just super stable even without FBW.. It just doesn't scratch the itch for me.
Lastly I recommend using switch primary weapon when flying the Skyray. It will let you fire one pair instead of fiddling with two binds/triggers for each pair and give you twice the trigger time.
