Hi, I'm Maria and I'm fighting ovarian cancer. At the peak of my career as a litigation attorney, I have been diagnosed with metastatic ovarian cancer. The impact has caused me to take a medical leave of absence and I will be taking you along with me on my journey towards a cure, whether it is from draining the malignant ascites from my abdomen, chemotherapy or surgery. I'm so fortunate to live in close proximity to a world-class cancer center who will be providing my care: Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.
I am so grateful to you for this video. How I miss beautiful Maria's videos. I am so sorry, I can only imagine how much you continue to miss her. Be well & thank you for allowing us to share in your bike ride with your daughter, Maria. ❤🙋🐞🎵
It is so good to see your post and WOW such a stunning bike ride. Maria is smiling down for sure. Stay strong and keep biking. Love from Australia Perth ❤️❤️
All I can say is that Maria and you her family are beautiful souls inside and out. Watching this, after watching daily the horrors that are going on in the world…… you give me hope in humanity. May God bless you all, and thank you for all that you do for those around you.
How lovely to see such pretty flowers! I think about Maria too! We chatted on here. We had the same type of cancer. Sending love to her family from Wales.❤
on the fence for me right now. done with chemo and now they want me to take a pill Zejula .. for 2 years huge side effects.. so hard to make a choice where the medical big pharma is not always your best interest
My great grandmother (98) is now suffering from this. They removed the same amount of fluid from her stomach. It’s been confirmed that she has stage 4 cancer. We’re now emptying these fluids ourselves. Thanks for sharing your experience as it gave me insight on how she’s feeling.
What a wonderful lady Maria seemed to be, you should both be very proud of her and her bravery, and how through such darkness she selflessly shared her journey, which im sure has and will help countless people. Im so sorry for your loss.
they never took me serious, now its lung and prob brain and elsewhere, in my first stages of finding it all out, im sad, im 62 and a grandma now for the first time,,,,,,,,,,,,,doctors never took me serious,
When I see a response I often wonder who is responding, wondering where they are from, and did they know Maria. So I go to their RU-vid. I saw you post playlists. I like your playlists, and enjoyed listening to a few of your playlist videos just now.
I miss Maria every day. She was such a valued presence in the lives of so many. I hear her laughter often in my head and smile remembering how much fun it was to laugh together. Thank you for this video. ❤
I just came across Maria’s channel. I’m so sorry to hear she passed and sending sympathies to her family. I pray that memories of her beautiful soul comfort you. Thank you for sharing awareness.
@@kimtongo3533 As with the rest of the family, living with the loss. She is being well taken care of by Maria's husband. Thanks for asking - it served as a reminder to me that I've not gotten to post any followup on Harley. I do have a few pictures but haven't put them all together.
Apparently you didn't read the above comment from her brother. He stated Maria passed away. And , to answer your question, everyone has their own reasons for how they deal with terminal illness. Some find it helpful to create a network of followers who support, pray, and relate to an individual's journey. There is no right way to face one's challenges. You stated: "im a survivor and never gave it a thought to tell my experience"; and albeit short, you did just share your story on social media. We should never judge. Feel blessed, but also remember to pray for those who are suffering.
My dad just died of pancreatic cancer 6 days after diagnosis. It was an awful death. He wanted to go home, but his pain was much greater than what could be handled with the oral pain medication that you get with in home hospice. We took him home and tried because we had no idea what to expect, but had to get help from a residential hospice on his last day so that he could get some relief. I am so sorry that you fought this beast and ultimately lost the fight. I guess that I can only be thankful that his battle was short lived.
@@HappiestGirl69i lost my mom months ago from ovarian. she basically was diagnosed at the same time as she was actively dying... in a way we feel abit better her suffering was short and she didnt have to go through an extensive period in discomfort and all the treatments. although she was most likely in some amount of pain for some time and just didnt really look into it. i feel guilty everyday thinking i should have noticed the signs in her, as stupid as it sounds
