I'm not sure how we'll do that, but we will :) Can't believe it's been three months already, but we're getting through it. Life's ups and downs continue,,,

This is Maria’s Dad. As I post this, Father’s Day is tomorrow, and I find myself reflecting on how I always looked forward to receiving Maria's Father’s Day Card or call. Always reliably delivered, thoughtful and reflective of the Maria that she was. The reality of her passing continues to be difficult for the family, but in the typical Maria way of being we say emphatically that “We will survive!”. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers that read this. Thank you for your support.

From Maria's Brother: I'm sad to confirm that Maria passed away on February 11, 2023, in the presence of her loving family. She is now in a better place, pain-free. Her passing happened much faster than we were prepared for. Continuing with Maria's spirit of transparency, we will post more details after the services are finished. I want to share how important you were to her - how energizing - and it's an honor to see how important she was to you. Thank you so much for all your concern. By the way, Maria did attend the baby shower :) See you soon, and keep fighting! From Maria's Brother: I am at the dining room table at Maria's house. Miss Harley is close by while her husband is going through seemingly endless paperwork with the radio tuned to classic rock. I will be visiting my parents soon after. We all have much to do. The wake and the celebration were very difficult, but also very uplifting. We met or reunited with so many people who were touched by Maria's life, including powerful stories from clients whose lives she changed with her pro bono legal work. We acknowledged this community. Maria's daughter mentioned you during a beautiful eulogy. And during the celebration, the pastor read out some of the comments of support coming from us. Thank you so much, everybody. I am sorry to say that like some of you, I did a search and just saw a mention on Facebook. I will omit her last name and who typed it for privacy reasons. I am devastated, I didn't know Maria personally but grew to care about her and she fought so hard. I can hardly see the screen as I am pouring out tears. Rest In Peace, Maria. We were all so much rooting for you.

I just saw this announcement today and am so, so sad Maria lost her fight against this terrible disease. She fought so hard and I was praying she would beat this. I am now praying for strength and peace for her survivors - husband, children, parents, siblings, and friends. I am so sorry for all of you. She seemed like a wonderful person. ❤

I'm going to Dana - Farber as well for treatment of Sarcoma. It is aggressive, rare, & mets to my lungs putting me in the 'no cure 15% chance of survival'. I feel so isolated in this, so I'm really glad I found your channel. You're an inspiration. Thank you for sharing so much!!

I just finished watching Maria’s last shared video. So happy she was going home that day. She was so excited, smiling brightly as she was thinking about cuddling with her pup, being at home again and with her family. So now that we’ve all been told of her short month of life that was remaining, we are grieving too. Maria was a very smart woman. Though she couldn’t know when, I believe she had an idea of where her life was trending and nevertheless did not stop living for a moment! She lived life to the fullest, enthusiastically and full of love. So glad she was able to attend her granddaughter’s baby shower! And when Maria approached her time of dying, she thought of her granddaughter with joy and peace, that she would know her even after death! My hope for Maria is that she had Hospice or some form of professional home care that kept her very comfortable. I also pray that her family felt something akin to joy and peace as their tears flowed freely. She is missed but unaware of loss or sorrow. Best of all, she is free from anxiety, fear, and constant pain! She won’t be forgotten. ❤

Dearest Loved Ones of Maria's 🌹 My heart aches to read your post that Maria has transcended earth, but am so thankful she is now at rest with God. She was a beautiful "Point of Light" and I - along with so many others - have been blessed to get to know her a little bit via her sharing her journey here with us. I came each and every day looking for a post from Dear Maria, and as the time wore on we began to worry. I, along with so many others, kept vigil here, and prayed each day for her. We are indeed grateful she got to attend the precious baby's shower. Oh my she soooo looked forward to that. I am so sorry to hear of Maria’s passing. Being pretty local to her in southern New Hampshire made me feel a little connected to her. I lost my mother of pancreatic cancer in 2005 and my mother-in-law also pancreatic cancer in 2019 so I know the struggles of chemo and hospital trips etc.. thank her for posting her journey as it’s helped a lot of people get through hard times.

Thank you to Maria for sharing her experience. I have had stage 4 cancer, cervical, and always benefit from those who are brave enough to share their experience with the public.
