Playing the demo and will buy. I skipped the boss fight scene because that was a far as I made it, and I don't want spoilers. But I have noticed a couple problems in my playthroughs. First is that this game seems to demand a lot of resources for being an indie with this level of graphic design. I know that's a common problem, because you're just coding and modeling, not optimizing, necessarily. Will their be optimization in the future? Second, Does the mech require an arm part with a hand to reload itself in combat? I keep going for the dual cannon arms, and when I try to reload with salvage, one of two things happens. It either does nothing, or the game slows down a LOT, like it's trying to process something very complex, or there is a program loop. And then nothing gets reloaded. If I bring spare ammo from the last camp, no problem.
Man, I found out about the game this afternoon. Went an downloaded the demo, and then promptly played it for like six hours straight. You’ve got a great thing going here. One thing I will say is the melee ranges feel a little bit short overall. I really love doing melee builds but fair number of the weapons just have such short ranges it doesn’t feel worth it to get that close. Keep it up! I will definitely be buying this when it goes up. Overall great game so far!
Just played the demo, and I have to say I really love what you did with the gameplay loop. I've always wanted an FTL styled roguelike with a mech gameplay loop. I noticed the game says online coop, is this coop 2 player or up to 3 or 4? I'm happy there is any online coop at all because playing with a friend will be a blast. Is there a possibility of testing some of the online coop in the Demo to help bugfix any problems? Will the money be kept together as a single account or will each individual have their own tracked credit value? I'm looking forward to the release, and I will be purchasing several copies for friends as gifts. I look forward to the launch!
Is there a possibillity of a non-permadeath mode ? The only reason i hate roguelites is because of being forced to having to start the game from the very beggining just because i died
Yup! You can play the demo on Steam which is the same version you see in the video. I’ve been working on the multiplayer so I haven’t updated it in a bit.
Your videos will get better over time. I'm not sure how you recorded this, but if it's all on one track, then try turning down the game volume to make your voice stand out. Otherwise, it's often best to record your voice on a separate track from the game capture so that you can adjust levels manually in your video editor. I use Audacity for my voice and Shadowplay for game capture. Audacity is free and fairly easy to learn. The compressor and noise gate functions can help a lot with mic recordings.
The four armed torsos have wacky shoulder positions and cannot two hand weapons but you can use arms strong enough to wield some two handed weapons in one hand.
I was waiting for this to turn out to be a scam or for you to let some dark secret slip or for this to be some kind of Kickstarter scam that is underperforming on promises but this looks like a really dope passion project Like this looks really neat? It just looks like a wholesome good piece of work that is just good? Wishlisted it on steam, sharing it to friends.
Looks awesome so far. One thing that I feel is a bit visually offputing is how that gunlance goes to standby practically every shot. It feels kind of weird for it constantly to going up and down 30 times during an encounter. I would reccomend increasing the amount of time the weapon stays on the ready. Perhaps have the little side dash also reset the time until it goes back up into standby mode. Overall just a very minor knitpick from the first few seconds of the video, I'll have to watch the rest later. I'm excited to see what comes from the game in the future.
currently on vacation in sweden but really looking forward to playing the new patch once I am back home, you rock man! EDIT: 41:00 I always thought it was necessary to refill all the turrets before the manufactorum can do anything, neat to know that is not necessary! EDIT2: 1:14:55 Here I think it would be cool if you could use the pilebunker while the spear is not in your hand, I think that would allow for a really cool very aggressive playstyle, depending on how hard that would be to implement
