You have to remove it before going for a dealership service because it will void your warranty. As for the Pedal Commander , if it faults all you have to do is unplug it from the excel-orator body and reconnect the original cabal it takes less than a minute (anyone could do it) So to be stuck on the side of the road is crazy

Did your side amber reflectors turn on as soon as you plugged them in? Also did they also stay on when the truck was off? I'm curious to find out if you did or didn't. On my 2016 GMC Sierra SLE, they turned on as soon as I plugged the two harnesses together, and stayed on when the truck was off. Any idea why that may be?

There is an easier way that I discovered when I did this last week on my 2014 Silverado. I could not get the new cable back through the hole as there was too much other stuff in the way that blocked the hole. You have to contort your hand to get into the space where the hole is at. Instead, I ran the new cable through the fender, into a grommet that is just below the door hinge. Slice the grommet for the cable and feed it into the space above the dash. Took about 10 minutes to do, as opposed to over an hour trying to feed the cable through the hole it was meant to go through. Remember to carefully slice off the grommet on the new cable and plug the original hole so you do not get any water intrusion.

What do you mean by ratchetty? I replaced mine and i have questions. Steering Wheel shakes when turning left at low speeds, most of the time, and started feeling alittle stiff.
