Hey plzz could we talk about these two degrees further i want to choose among these but i need a persons help to go through questions and question if you feel good to have conversation plzz help me .
Im literally at crossroads. Ive options to pursue med school in india or do CS in the UK or the USA. Ive like 2 or 3 weeks to finalize and I'm terrified lmao
Would helping elderly folks, many of whom are restricted by a medical condition, in my neighborhood with physical demanding things like yardwork be counted as clinical experience or an extracurricular ?
As a person who has cracked the neet exam.. over the years the scores have sky rocketed.. out of 720 to get into good institution you may need somewhere around 670+.. which really owe to the increase in students.. and quite frankly the exam has become more or less.. sharp and easy
+ even though computer science "seems" to be a great career for the future, it will loose a great value due to oversaturation and ai will replace a great part of the "coding" making the coders once again less valuable
I'm a BS Computer Science grad now entering med school I don't think CS will be devalued, computing will only be larger and larger, and it will also help shape the future of medicine, so it's an amazing thing to be knowledgeable in both, and for me one of my missions is to integrate computing to my medical practice and research
Damn.. I wanna give the MCAT but it seems to be even much harder than Neet since you need to appear in 5 to 7 subjects additionally which are not even in your touch for the last two to three years or could be even more, since a students needs to appear the mcat at 21 Years age but still it seems harder.. But yeah, sir, Id just like to ask you something that how did you manage to appear for the mcat with humanities along with science,, I mean see it's obviously a bit tough right to mug up things, when you aren't in a touch with it for last 4 to 5 years ig
To get into a prestigious government college in India like AIIMS, you need a score of at least 680 and above. For other government colleges that are not as famous, a score of 620 and above is required. Private colleges, which are more expensive than government colleges, can be entered with a score above 400.
Moreover u didn't mentioned tht MCAT uh can book dates on your own and can appear twice a year and in India it's jst one tym exam a year due to any reason u didn't get chance and u lost tht one year moreover the pressure and taunts?? The stress tht Indian student's hv to go through
Hi Arvind, thanks so much for your work! I tried opening up your notion page to look at the resources but all the links have disappeared, all the tables are blank. Could you please help me out so that I can access them? Thanks again!
Just realised I don't know what a pre med student is. I currently live I Africa. I am taking biology, chemistry and math in my A levels which I am about to finish and I want to go to med school right. Am I a pre med student?
Hi. Is my A level knowledge enough for me to do clinical research? Is it wise for me to volunteer at a children's hospital and then become a general surgeon not a pediatrician??. Last question, what made you, @ArvindRajan , want to become a doctor?
@@ArvindRajan how do I know if I'm using them for credits? They counted for some of my college requirements such as the American history/government requirement, and probably some other stuff too, but even tho I had a 5 in AP English I still took 1 full year of English/writing bc I was told med schools wanted it. My major was physiology so even tho I had AP chem credit I still took all the chem classes for my major. Does this mean I don't need to report any ap credit on my amcas app?
For me I brought all my AP credits into college so they all showed up on my college transcript. I’d recommend getting a copy of your college transcript and copying the classes on their verbatim
@@a23oj28 it does, since neet has such a low acceptance rate and a much much much vast syllabus(and you hardly can skip any topics), the difficulty level is kept much lower
@@Saisenpai991 Med school acceptance in India is based off of 1 test, but that is not the case in other countries which take a holistic approach. The difficulty of the MCAT is not equal to the difficulty of being accepted into med school in Canada so you cannot use that as a metric to compare the exams. Yet we still have ~4% acceptance rate here, all things considered. Depending on which school you apply it can drop to 2% as well. This does NOT consider the MANY pre meds who change their mind early on in the undergraduate program either. In Canada we also have to sacrifice much more of our lives to preparing for med school applications, including thousands of hours in varied extracurricular activities, research experience, clinical and non clinical volunteering, casper exam, multiple minute interviews, maintenance of > 3.9 GPA -- the MCAT is a gruelling marathon of an exam but it is a SMALL part of our overall extreme application. Moreover, the MCAT actually tests understanding of material and critical analysis rather than just being able to recall facts quickly or solve a physics problem in 40 seconds, which is arguably more difficult to train for and requires years and years of honing your knowledge, test taking abilities and ability to dissect research texts.
The NEET cutoff is determined by various factors such as the total number of seats available, the difficulty level of the exam, and the overall performance of the candidates. So, while aiming for a score around 600 might seem feasible in some cases, it's crucial to stay updated on the official cutoff scores released by the authorities each year. Aspiring medical students should always aim to score higher than the cutoff to ensure they have the best chance of securing admission to their desired medical schools.
We're literally the same. CS and Medicine are my only options. I'm in my 3rd year in CS now but realizing, while I am interested, I can't really think of what job I want to get once I graduate. While in medicine, there are 2 specialized field I want to be in. So I am really having this dilemma just when I'm a few years in graduating. I looked it up on the internet and some told me that I can get into med school with this degree. But I was thinking I don't really have the knowledge I need for like Bio, Chem, Physics. Idk what to do but I really wanna ba a Doctor 😭
