My channel is to show the everyday guy with a garage and simple tools that you can build whatever you can dream of. I've had ideas in my head all my life and the build and execution of my prototype crosskart gave me the confidence to put those ideas out to the world. Enjoy the build!
A lot of people want to build a 1 off or maybe 2. My local steel suppliers only want to sell 10 or 20 feet of steel that isn't as popular. Perhaps you could sell the a arms and axle tubes for people who don't want to invest in a tubing bender
How to do this for much much less: go find a used 4WD early 1980s S-10 or Ranger, they go for $500-1000, then take the body off, add a Harbor Freight winch, fit big tires, and weld the differentials.
Bro if I pay for all the supplies and materials you want to build me a cart and act as my sponsor. I want to run Pikes Peak in April I haven't been able to find a chassis or a full cart for sale that I can afford. If I pay for all the parts and part of your labor would you be interested in building me a cart that I can put at least a 600 cc engine on bro I got a tumor in my neck and it's growing into my brain stem they told me back in 2015 I only had eight months if it wasn't for the man upstairs I wouldn't be here right now I at least trying to get the top five of my bucket list finished I got the blue pitbull, I banged a midget, I played with a gigantic pair of fake man-made breasts. I saw what a transgenders remunerated area looks like. And now I want to ride Pikes Peak wide open with no parachute LOL
I have an old honda xr600r engine i am thinking of putting in one of these builds. Do you think the gear shifting in the xr600r engine affect the performance of the car as opposed to running the belt clutch setup?
No no. When you're drilling steel you want to get in and get out asap. Heat is the enemy. Heat will dull a drill bit faster than anything else and going slow and playing with the hole will guarantee that you burn it up faster. What ya really need is some lube. That'd solve multiple problems and save the drill bit. But also, that's a damn good looking machine. Hopefully i can save ya a few drill bits later down the road.
Thank you so much. I put some light piano music in the background at 2% volume. To me it’s just weird to hear just me talking. I guess I’m still figuring out RU-vid… 😁
Lol. I have to give you a hard time about something, there definitely isn't anything about your design or fabrication skills that I can give you shit about.
Kyle found a joint near him that charges the cost of a quad frame. Each place will be different based on their capacity and capability. Best option would be to call around your location honestly.
I pay around $350 for prep and paint for the frame. Light bar, 4 a-arms and hooking protection add around $150 but sometimes I do those myself because they are easier.
I have a crazy design. i'm going to be fiberglassing the entire kart. The lights are going to be sick, the back and sides are going to be crazy aggressive, the front is going to be very cool. There is going to be a lot of work going into the looks of the cart. i highly enjoy that.
Trying to justify building one, and need more information, approx how much tubing did you use, and what size is it? I plan to purchase the kj Raycing kit from rogue fab and purchase your plans, and using chromoly tubing and a turbo Hayabusa motor make a Texas street legal rocket
Check the channel, in the description there is a link to the plans overview that answers your questions. There is also a Facebook group full of guys building these that can help answer your questions once you have the plans. Sounds like a cool build for sure!
Your always doing great stuff I’ve been watching and re watching so many of your videos but only thing I wish to see is the budget get upgraded to the big boys duromax makes a 999cc
I don’t record a lot of projects because I’m usually coming up with my plan as I go. But I love how you include it all. I appreciate seeing the mistakes and fixes. Thanks for another great video.👍🏾
You are always inspiring people. You always do great work on how to explain your work, but I haven't been able to see/find out how you installed that "TACHOMETER"...
How dobyou think this would stack up against a rzr for multi terrain ridingbim in utah we have sand to red rocks to dirt road all my buddies have rzrs im thinking one of these is alot cooler but rzr are just so good at everything
My 500cc polaris beats rzr’s until they put it in 4wd to get the jump on me. They are way faster because of the gears and the suspension can be built for whatever you want to do. I think they would more than stack up against rzr’s… 😁
When you want to buy something that is not for sale, you usually have to make an offer that can’t be refused. Or you can get the plans and start building your own awesome machine. 👍
Could you put longer arms to give it more ground clearance or would it mak it to weak im thinking of making one of these instead of a rzr but i would want taller for ruts and more general off road
The arms don’t need to be longer… they can be set up with tons of clearance and travel and still have a 62” width. Shocks, tires and setup is how you get all of that. That’s why it is a “VF” for variable frame, you decide how you want it set up.
Im building an Awd v8 reverse trike. I need 2 sprockets for the chain. Im going to use 530 chain. Can they make steel sprockets that can handle the power?
I just put the plans out and show you how I build them, you are more than welcome to use whatever you like 👍, but I have no idea how or if it will work…
If it were me id like a different engine just so I can have a gear box, cause I love to be able to shift gears and such. But other thsn that id LOVE to build one of these thinga
Sir this kart looks incredible. I've been searching for a kart project for myself and my kids. This beast is absolutely perfect for me and my family. I will be purchasing the plans once I'm back home in a few weeks. You are doing God's work here with this project. It's absolutely incredible and your attention to detail is impeccable. Love your work. I'm curious how many fellow Canadians have joined this project.
This is one of the best compliments, thank you so much sir. I hope you enjoy the process of building and I hope your crosskart comes out amazing. Thank you.
