SIBO can come back even on ketovore, at least because of dairy. No dairy for me now, going strict carnivore, and I was given an advice to try prokinetic herbs, like ginger or artichoke. I have just ordered ginger caps. We'll see.
I've felt sick going on 12 weeks now. I've seen my regular doctor twice, urgent care doctor, two visits to the ear. Been on three antibiotics and two steroids. They kept telling me its chronic sinusitis and a ct scan showed i had mucosal cyst. I finally get into ent and they tell me they think its LPR. But my symptoms have mostly been congestion, clogged and ringing in left ear, vertigo and exhaustion. Im at a loss of where to go from here.
Any tips on how to rescrict carbs when im already on a really strict diet because of allergies?? I cant eat meat after lunchtime so i eat split peas and veg for dinner but ill actually starve if i cut those out. Im also allergic to the elemental drink formula 🫠
Oh wow, thank you, Doc. Just downloaded the app. Suffering from few years. Just downloaded the app. Will follow your advice as of today. I need to cut carbs!!! Also, alkaline water helps by inactivating pepsin.
Thank you for this video. I have recently been diagnosed with SIBO and just started on xifaxan. I leared about you from a friend. I have ordered your book Fast Tract Digestion. Thank you for explaining things so well. I feel very positive about your approach.
I've dealt with type 1 diabetes since I was 14 months old. I'm the only type one diabetic in my family. I had a double transplant surgery done on August 28th 2017, to cure my type 1 diabetes. The diabetes itself destroyed most of my muscles, nerves, veins and tried to take out most of my organs. I developed gastroparesis in August 2012 and as of August 2024, I was diagnosed with SIBO. In January 2013, I ended up being hospitalized for E-coli found in my blood. I'm thinking somewhere along that line I had developed the SIBO. Do you think that's possible? Please let me know if so. Thanks!
I only just realised I probably have this. I never knew much about it before and assumed it didn't apply to me. Could SIBO be the reason that a lot of supplements give me diarrhoea, or is it just normal that some people are sensitive to supplements??
Cipro to treat SIBO. Great, it's way more likely to give you ruptured Achilles tendons than cure your SIBO. I speak from experience, stay away from all fluoroquinolones. (And when prescribed for non-SIBO treatment, there are almost always other antibiotics that will get the job done without having to resort to a quinolone.)
I have mucus in my throat, coughing....my vocal cord wasn't closing all the way either. Although i no longer have issues with my voice giving out. But I'm still miserable cause of mucus 😔
What are your thoughts on maltodextrin? It is a "safe" ingredient in the new Mbiota elemental shakes but if I ingest even a small amount it causes terrible GI symptoms (gas, bloating, etc.).
I was diagnosed with Silent Reflux a few years ago by a consultant ENT Doctor. I was advised to give up acidic foods; chocolate, fizzy drinks, spicy food, alcohol, tomatoes etc. Alcohol no problem as I can take or leave it. Chocolate was heart breaking. I stuck with it, lost weight that I didn’t have to lose. So far so good. It also caused muscle tension dysphonia, I had voice coaching as I like to sing too. I’ve gradually introduced chocolate (dark), some other foods. At the same time I developed Tinnitus, no cure for that. The carbohydrate thing is interesting. I occasionally have a carb heavy diet as I weight train. Started at 64 🤪
I had private healthcare at the time, I’ve since taken early retirement. I did go to a second consultation who stuck the camera down my nose again. Same results. I just eat a very healthy and balanced diet, rarely have a glass of wine & limit chocolate. @@galaxytraveler5779
My doctor told me that there is no such thing as sibo he told me that I just have ibs and not a overgrowth of bacteria he said just to stay on laxatives my whole life but he was wrong Iam now recovering and on a strict diet thank you for this video.
"reducing fermentable material in your diet and improving digestion is critical for addressing all forms of dysbiosis while also identifying and addressing potential underlying or contributing causes and these would be specific to your case the goal."
I'm assuming that RU-vid's algorithms brought your vid to me as I've been researching about histamine... I had no idea how complex and integrated it is in the body's health (or, rather, ill-health). Your brief vid is so easy to understand and quick to confirm & affirm ills and options. I've been so disappointed in my local doctors that have dismissed my headaches and they prescribe for the symptoms without addressing the problem or the cause. Here, you address the possible cause. I had recently googled/youtubed everything I could find about chronic headaches and whatever weird stomach problems that are connected with inflammation... and you've certainly added to my "amateurish self diagnosis" to fend for myself. Thanks!
My uncle struggled with dysbiosis for months, but after starting IAFA Ayurveda’s natural solutions, he found remarkable relief within just three months. The holistic approach truly made a difference in his gut health and overall well-being. Highly recommend IAFA Ayurveda for anyone facing similar challenges!
I hate this everyone has SIBO theory, the condition for SIBO to even exist is to have food be stuck and rot in the intestine, if that's happening you'd have constipation and pain in the abdomen on a regular basis as your first two symptoms way before anything else
I’m glad I found all these channels. There are crazy people out there who think low acidity is a lie or a cult. I was having all the symptoms of low stomach acid but it god so bad that it affected my ears and eventually I felt in my stomach. They gave me a PPI and oh my lord did I feel like I was going to die. I was constantly feeling like I was going to faint every few hours and anything I ate went right through me. I lost 12 pounds in a week and my muscles were hurting so badly. Eventually I spoke to my brother who actually had low acidity at some point and he fixed it with apple cider. He told me eat lemon or something acidic before meals and I am finally feeling better I stopped taking the PPI within 4 days I almost felt like death was upon me my lord.
