Hi! I’m Sam, an American who moved abroad with my French husband. I started this channel to document my everyday life, basically a virtual diary sharing my discoveries of living in Provence, France. Thank you for being here.
Great idea going on the tour and getting out in the fresh air does you a world of good , i an going to my local park later 😊 take care and thanks for sharing ❤️🏴x
OMG how did I miss this vlog. I was so sad when you told us that you're family was selling your home in Highland Park. But now knowing that they decided not to makes me SO HAPPY!!!! So happy for you Sammy!!!
I love when you do these vlogs of just what a normal day in France is like. I've never seen an oval bulb looking onion like the one you video'd. So cool!! I don't remember if I've asked you but how far is the city center from where you live? Is it walking distance or you have to taxi or metro it there? I would probably spend 4 out of 7 days at the city center. It's so nice and relaxing. Especially for me that I also have an anxiety and panic disorder. Also wanted to ask you, do you still cook Mexican food over there? Like do you make Mexican rice and beans or Chile salsas? I would definitely need to find a place where I could find like corn tortillas or Mexican products to make them. LOL... Thank you for sharing this beautiful vlog Sammy!!!!
Hi Rocco 👋🏽 I’m so glad you enjoy them. The produce here is so beautiful and always such lovely colors. It is about a 35 min walk, sometimes I walk or just take the bus if it’s too hot. Going to the park or just getting out early morning to beat the crowds is the best for me as I can get overwhelmed with the crowds. You would love it here. I usually only get my Mexican food when I’m home visiting. My Mama is visiting in September and she’s bringing me beans ☺️ I’m so excited.😊
Bonjour bonsoir hello my love my day is inspired your videos sure lift me out of a down time while watching I’m excited to go have a falafel wrap we have an awesome Turkish restaurant here and the flowers fresh produce at the markets you are a sweetheart my Mondays in New Zealand always full of uplifting inspiration because of you much love and gratitude to you sweet friend have a fabulous week and you’re doing an awesome thing here💖💖😘😘👌🌟
Hi Brenda 👋🏽 always so lovely to connect with you here. I truly hope your week gets better, I completely understand those moments of feeling down but it doesn’t last forever and you’ll see the rainbow soon🌈 Sending lots of love your way.
What a fun idea to be a tourist in your own town. There is always something new to discover. Aix is beautiful. You too. I like when you wear your dresses. Would it be possible to show us the nearby villages? Close proximity. Like those 15min away by bus for instance? 🤍
It was a lot of fun and I plan to do it again☺️ I can see if there is a nearby village that I can get to by bus. I’ll have to see my options. Hopefully there is something 🤞🏽
@@SamFournier Le Tholonet, Puyricard, Venelles...Just an idea. I think it will be interesting to see what's around and in my opinion it's not complicated and won't bring you anxiety as a solo trip, because they are close to where you are. Plus I never saw you getting on a bus,so it might be a good idea for a new experience. Not expensive too. Prob.like 4 euro go and come back. Then showing us the centre of those places and maybe they have some nice shops,markets,houses...whatever. I think it's a great option for someone who is not driving. It will be interesting. Think about it,no pressure. Have a great day,Sam 🌞👍😊
The algorithm brought me here, yeah I’m searching all info on living there 💓🇫🇷 I have a military pension where I could probably swing it in a studio on outskirts somewhere. Just have to plan while digging my way out of debt 😞
Hi Amanda 👋🏽 I’m so happy the algorithm brought you this way☺️ I hope you’re able to get everything sorted and are able to live in France🇫🇷All the best!
Hi Sam! Greetings from New Mexico! I just wanted to drop by to express a long overdue thank you for all your videos of Lourmarin! Last May, my partner and I decided to explore Provence and were in search of a town to base our adventures from. By chance, I stumbled upon your Lourmarin videos (I believe it was the winter one...) and instantly knew we had found the perfect spot. To cut a long story short, we had an incredible week exploring the region and stayed at Le Moulin in Lourmarin - such a great hotel... all thanks to you! We adore your videos and have remained loyal subscribers and followers ever since. Wishing you continued happiness and eagerly following all your adventures.
Oh my goodness, thank you so so much for leaving this comment and expressing your gratitude. It means a lot to me. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay in Lourmarin🫶🏽 it’s definitely my favorite!
Glad you made it to Florence. If you had more time you could have gone up into the hills to one of the oldest churches in Florence…a little less travelled than the center of town. Cinque Terre looks lovely but has never been on my list! Italy is definitely one of the most beautiful places on Earth, even with the crowds in some more popular areas! ❤
Loved this video and like you i prefered the quiet village much more pleasent to walk around , isnt travel a wonderful thing to do thanks for sharing ❤️🏴x
Hi Sam & Paul 🙂 truly amazing places! Just wish we could delete the many tourists at such beautyful places, even if iam one myself! 😹 I just hate it lol . Italy and France are 2 beautyful countries. Tuscany reminds me a lot of the Provence. Thanke you for the video, I was happy to see you 2 Lovelies 🙂 . And enjoy your staying in Bella Italia, Love Anette
Beautiful world we all live’, mostly.. The background music you used was perfect.. matched the scenery to a tea!!! We loved our trip a few years back. You have to go off the beaten tourist paths!
Thank you Shirley, I had fun with the music in this vlog. So glad you enjoyed the video and it brought back some memories from your trip. I definitely would like to go to non touristy areas next time.
LOVE the vintage filter at the end - so fitting! I had the wonderful opportunity to hike the cinque terre trail back in the mid-90's... way before instagram or influencers. It wasn't half as crowded and I was there in June. As a matter of fact, I think Steve Jobs was just introducing the iPod - 1,000 songs in your pocket, and cell phones were still flip and dumb. So wonderful to see you two lovebirds enjoying it!
I thought we would've been early enough in the beginning of May but I was wrong. Maybe September you will have better luck. Thank you so much for watching.
Lovely video Sam. So many people already! Blue Star Positano, posted a video about two weeks ago showing how busy it was in Positano and only May! You will have to do some more of these type of videos💙
Beautiful. Reminded me so much of Ciudad de Mexico, the architecture is very similar. Beautiful!! The beard on Paul looks good, It's crazy how we are used to PEOPLE in L.A everywhere and now we prefer to be in less busy places. I am loving the peace and tranquilty in Texas as i plan to stay another 6 months. I do not miss the loud crazy downtown L.A. at ALL!!! lol
@@SamFournier @SamFournier Yes I will be going back to L.A. once my sister gets back from an overseas job. She's the one who looks out for my mom since she lives here in Texas. But I won't be moving back to downtown. I'm looking at apartments in S. Pasadena/Alhambra area. I have tons of family that live in the area. El Sereno, Highland Park, Lincoln Heights, Monrovia. So North East L.A. is where I'm looking. Miss you too XOXOXO. say hi to Paul for me.
What in the thicker beard is going on here😂?! It looks good on you Paul, so distinguished! And just so totally in love with the shots of you two between all the door ways! That should be one of your travel collages..."the doorways to love."
😂😂😂 he’s growing out his beard and hair. I’m excited to see the scruffiness 😍 Miss you friend, I can’t wait to show you around when you’re able to make it this way.
I think ever since Covid and the isolation of not really knowing anyone here added to my social anxiety. I just really don’t like crowds. I’ve changed so much since living in LA😅
Your husband is so right about being in the moment, a perfect way to be!!! I loved this video, your choice of music just drew me in, and your filmmaking is stunning!!! Thank you for letting me share Italy with you both, what a special, blessed life you lead!!!
