oh ya I got put in this by a purple belt in class and I didn't realized what he had and I struggled to hard instead of tapping out like I should have and I tore my becipt head and it was absolutely horrible...
That could be Judo, Ju-Jitsu/Ju-Jutsu, Sambo, wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) etc. The advantage of grappling arts is obvious here. The disadvantage is running across a skilled stand up fighter who's skills include grappling. 👍🥋
The problem with Jiu-Jitsu in a real confrontational situation like this is that it only works one on one. If that guy had a friend with him or even a furious girlfriend swinging at you, you could not get yourself in such a vulnerable position on the ground.
It's a move for blue gi guy. You are at risk of getting mounted or being put into a bottom position if they sweep you like that, but if you pin their leg to the side, then the opponent is at risk of getting their guard passed
