Excellent real life video. Trying to get my drive to pull harder after two years. Runs great but struggles to pull thru higher grass. I need the belt part number if you have it> Thanks an keep the hands on repiars coming.
Thank you for taking the carburetor apart, Im learning to troubleshoot! I have never worked on one before or any type of engine small or large. 🙏. Thank you 😊
Seems like the muffler has a bunch of deposits. Id clean that, the spark arrestor screen and change the spark plug and fuel filter. I have an srm210 and once you get them dialed in they are decent.
Just swapped out my carburetor with the after market one you listed, worked perfect and tuned like you said, thanks so much!!! Perfect timing for leaf season. Sorry u had a bad day at work.
good video! I have a old Ariens st724 from the 80s, my dads old snowblower given to me over 20 yrs ago and it finally died last year. Thinking of getting the classic 24 but dont really want a blower that has a weaker engine then my old snow blower so I might spend more and get the deluxe 24. How reliable are those ariens ax engines made by LCT?
They are just CHONDA and you will be fine power wise either eay. I have performance videos on the 179cc and 208cc motor with no issues. Just keep the oil fresh, topped off as well fuel clean/fresh and you will be good to go.
I google chonda to see what that meant lol. Yes I change oil every fall and use fresh non ethanol gas. Seems like people love to use 87 ethanol ⛽️ then they end up having issues later.
@@pattayperformance Hi Pattey, I spoke with someone and you can do it from the top. I have a rusted front bolt, so I have no choice. Thanks for responding.
So there is was falling off the shop chair yelling torque er down torque er down LOL. Appears you got it right on the 4th attempt good job Jason but Jake woulda fired you eh? Thanks for the shout out but Jake has been off the videos for a year but still pulling his weight for the business. Remember there is no EP without Jake!
Wow that was a lot of keys shearing off. I'm wondering if you have a bad length of key stock or factory keys aren't strong enough. I've had keys shearing on my snowblower quite a bit until I stopped using factory keys, and started using key stock from work. Great video as always and love the pipe and drums. My Brother plays the pipes and I drum. So yea, that's always great to see this.
@@rogermcdonald1607 I agree! Make no sense to me…the impact can take off the bolt but not correctly install it🤣 Even the torque wrench yielded the same result. When I hit the bolt with big Uggah Duggahs I heard a pop and stopped and that did the trick. Talk about butt pucker moment 🤣
Saw this story on Kens Small Engine round table, what is grabbing the flywheel to twist it, it should be pushing down only, or at least with my experience, I have found that common on those old Kohler engines on John Deere tractors

👍🏻very good job thank you the you should show the customer a before and after pictures of how everything was and how each item ended up that’s a good job
I just replaced the starter rope on my 1994 Homelite built in the USA trimmer. Then I went out and trimmed my yard. Had to rebuild the carb a couple of times due to the crap gas sold today. Think about it. It's 30 years old and functions perfectly. Yea, I could have bought a new one a couple of times but I feel keeping it out of the landfill and using my brain and doing some research, I can keep it going instead of buying a new throw away piece of junk made in China.
To explain this design , Imagine a choke adjuster that allows a movement to happen by heat only , engineering was in this design , it is at choke setting as the motor has set for awhile awaiting you upon the next time you start your mower , it plunges out a thin wire to push the choke open as the motor heats up , sits in a hole above the carb on the assembly mount. Cartridge little guy , google Honda mower parts , has a list of mower models with exploded views of the carb , you’ll find it numbered and it’s part number to order .
@@davidnorth3411 I’m well aware of how the Thermo Choke works. I mentioned in the video I spent $8-9 on the thermo choke and it didn’t remedy the problem. I went to good old manual version. Thanks for the view and comment!
That poor mower was abused after it was sold. Besides you are not obligated to refund after 30 days (some state laws are different) or if you sold “as is” there’s no obligation for a refund for the customer.
Hey Pattay, Nice job!. I just got the Evap Solenoid out. I would like to send a special award to the individual at HONDA for this design, but that wouldn't be fair. It took a team of engineers working night and day to come up with worst electro-mechanical engineering I've ever seen. I've worked on BMW and Volvo, but these Japs really earned it. When re-installing, slide the bracket back in from the firewall.
I'm on my daughter's account. When I have my daughter sell stuff on marketplace I have a bunch of pictures of the items, that way you can see if something broke on its own or was abused.
