I started this channel in 2014 as an attempt to introduce viewers to games that I find interesting. This was never about your Super Mario and Mega Man titles, but the games I couldn't play that made me want to start a conversation. As my interests shift, I try to bring my community in on the fun, delivering everything from retrospectives and reviews to recent pick-ups or highlighting new products. Thanks for the glitch info. After finishing the game using the glitch, I had 3 games played. It took me 3 tries. I then used the same game to play through the game normally, saving many times, and wound up with 0 (ZERO) games played. Also, maybe it was just me, but when playing through this current game, I found it more difficult to get into Chris Houlihan's secret room. I used SNES9X 1.62.3 emulator.
I wonder what version this is as the ones I have make you start out with faaaar less life no matter if you chose Easy, Normal or Hard. 6 of the golden bits instead of 30 to be precise. There is now also an English fan translation that also has the same amount of life. The controls I find very stiff, where even turning your character around while attacking is a pain. While jumping diagonally, you also lose all control over your character once midair, making it hard to change where to land if the situation changes and you need to react to some enemy jumping from one side of the screen to the next (like the ones in the burning building level). If enemy attacks hit you or not is also quite random, with some enemies not damaging you at all when you walk (or ride) through them, while they are swinging their swords. Speaking of riding, the level where you ride down a slope you can't move at all besides jumping and swinging your sword. The ground enemies only hit you when you press forward and you can only hit them by pressing forward. Pressing forward doesn't move you forward (only scrolling of the autorun level gets a bit faster) and the character / attack animation looks exactly the same as swinging the sword without pressing forward. You can't tell at all that pressing forward does anything until you realize that only then do they hit you and can you hit them... The ones on the horses coming from behind can only be hit after jumping over them and here you also have to press forward while jumping or else you won't be able to jump very high. Them coming from behind makes you try jumping by pressing left/back as this would be the logical way to jump over someone coming from behind. Pressing forward is also not telegraphing from it's animation that it does anything until you see that you can jump higher this way (needed to avoid boulders from behind). Btw, in the video you can see the boss on a horse swinging his spear / trident and there it's also quite random if he hits you. If the controls, animations and hit boxes where better, this would be a good game but the way it is, I can see why it didn't make it to the west. It's not like a bit of naked "skin" hasn't been censored before. :P
i HAD the speedboard! i found it in my piles of old shit from when i was little when i was a teen and had no fucking idea wtf it was. this was in the early 00s, so i couldnt find any info on it either. this was back when i was relliving my library of nes, snes, and genesis carts. we had ALOT.... god i hate that those ended up dissapearing to life... i would of made 10Ks if i still had my collection, no joke...
also, seeing's i had all the different joysticks when they were state of the art, i'll give u my take i had even when i was a kid, the nes advantage was and tonly one actually worth it. tho the super advantage was fucking awesome, it really was, games at that point had too many menus and the layout didnt compliment the snes what with them iplementing shoulder buttons, and things that made turbo fire not work right, and by then, they had utilized the snes pad so well that all the titles just... worked better with a decently maintained snes pad. but the nes one was an actual game changer. i used the slow button so much for castlevania 1 and 3 it was crazy. oh, and megaman until they made the pause button the menu. i cant remember when they changed it, but it used to be select was the menu and pause was pause, so the slowmo actually worked. oh, and the fact the nes one could be used as a 1st AND 2nd player controller at the time was revolutionary but NO one adopted that design, even nintendo ditched it with the super advantage, cus in the end it cut into their possible profits 😠 So yah. the nes advantage was the absolute best of all the joystick controllers of that time IMHO.
These graphics gameplays is mindblowing back in the days even if its repetitive its still fun and enjoyable my favorite genre is hack and slash with rpg elements. 😊
Quote: You find yourself in an empty hospital room, head aching tremendously. Looking outside the door, you see a man in a lab coat and biker shorts bike down the hospital hallway on his giant mountain bike and stop right next to your door, parking the bike and getting off of it in one fluid motion. You back up to let the man into the room while you find yourself a chair. Turning back around, the man asks you "So, what brings you in today." Flustered, you give a stumbled answer, "I have a headache, uh, maybe a migrain-" you find yourself unable to continue as the doctor finally takes off his helmet, revealing what must be at least 16 to 20 inches of flowing golden hair. You finally get a good look at the doctor's face and you realize just how handsome this man is. "He can't be over 25," you think to yourself, wondering how he ever got a medical license so young. And suddenly, almost as if he read your mind, he pulls out his ID, "60, by the way. Haven't had a headache in years either." You marvel at this specimen of a man, complementing his outstanding health, height, and muscles. Then suddenly, the doctor comes in closer and you swear he begins to stare into your soul. "You want to know my secret?" He asks. With a slight gulp, you nod. And as quickly as he came he leans back from your face and produces a small glass jar from his coat pocket. "Wanna eat some bugs?" He nearly declares. Do you eat the bugs?
