Welcome to "Adventures With Ken" where I'll be doing all sorts of outdoor activities. Camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and some other random things will be uploaded every other week on Monday nights at 730pm Eastern Time. One day we may be on the way to the Croatan or Uwharri National Forest for a weekend adventure and the next day we are at the hunting club eating lunch and checking trail cameras. I love showing what type of wild life we have captured on camera. Yes I hunt, but I also enjoy just watching the woods come alive. I'm in the market for a new to me kayak or canoe so I can get back out on the water and do some fishing, I miss the feeling of a tight line, screaming drag, and fighting a fish for tonight's dinner.

I quit smoking in 97 wasn’t about to pay 13.75 for a carton 😂 so we quit. It was hard did it cold turkey! The physical addiction is 36 hours you already licked that now it’s a mental thing . I found that a short pencil helped a lot , would hold between my fingers like a cigarette. That and yelling at random weirdos helped too 😂. Stay strong 💪
@@adventureswithken1983 not as tasty as a good crayon but it’s a acquired taste the putt putt shorties are the best . I was a very heavy smoker when I was a repo man. Totally worth the effort you should feeling better already maybe just a little short on nerves but it gets easier.
@1822MCAdv it's been 9 days now, it's just a mental thing like you said. After dinner, want a cigarette, get in the car to drive to the store, want a cigarette, roll around with the wife, want two cigarettes 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Dude, I dipped snuff pretty much my entire life.. I remember being 5 years old and playing around with it. I never could stop. I am 56 now and about 2 years ago I had an oral cancer scare and switched to snuff with no tobacco or nicotine but even that wasn't good because it still rubbed my gums and the doctor told me that it can cause cancer as well. He told me that alcohol can irritate it and flare it up also so not to be using alcohol, not even in mouthwash.. he also told me not to smoke because it can flare it up too.. anyway, stay strong man! You can do it! Nice relaxing fishing video... Would love to just sit out there in the fall and drink some coffee with a little bit of fog on the water..
The mountain house b&g is probably my favorite of all the mh meals. And I've not seen an underquilt built big enough to adapt to fit under a sleeping pad. They are all designed to cocoon around the circumference of the hammock. If you need more insulation you probably need a warmer quilt. With your ridgeline you need to make sure it's taught straight across and use prusiks on either end of the tarp to tension it and get all that slack out. 👍
B&G is definitely the only breakfast Mt House I eat. You're correct on the knots, ive been doing some research and watching knot tutorials and hammock videos. Getting ready to hopefully use it all this up coming weekend.
Be sure to check for wasps and other stinging critters in that box blind. We had a big scare last year facing them almost fully enclosed and jumping from that height is rough on the spinal cord and knees!
Now I want dill pickle chips...lol!! Great vid, bro! I love the simplicity that you just get out and enjoy the outdoors! It doesn't have to be complicated!! :) Oh, and I may have been "over dramatic" while eating at camp one time, but it was grilled meat and not a Mountain House meal...ha, ha! But I agree with you on that one!! :D

I remember we did some weird things to make our C rats edible main thing was heating them up, turkey and cheese was one of my favorites. So how long before you start naming the deer ? Can you fatten them up? A happy deer is a tender deer 🦌
Like the name change - makes sense. I’ll have to try that nacho cheese in the lasagna or chili mac! Sounds good. I like to add peanut butter to the Pad Thai or chicken teriyaki. I have a similar looking mini bike - Coleman CT200U. Fun way to get around the farm quick!

I've had that nacho cheese before, it's really good. Definitely gunna give that a try with the lasagna one. I bet that cheese would be really good with mountain house chili Mac too. Great video and the name change is perfect
Nice video Ken! I like the new name as it covers anything you do. I love the outdoors but I'm afraid of everything and sticks get me too LOL. I put shredded real cheese in alot of stuff, and put diced mild green chilis in almost everything. Looking forward to more videos. Take care and stay cool!🙂
I've almost been bit by sticks and branches too when walking through brush, I know the feeling😂😂. Having trail cameras seem fun but I'm not a hunter so I've never messed with any. I think I could eat that lasagna with nacho cheese if I really needed to but I'd probably never do it on purpose just for the heck of it cuz I'm not very crazy about cheese... I like cheese in rare circumstances. I like your name better too!

@@adventureswithken1983 I had a bunch of stickers made but I found out they were made wrong and they fade very fast in the Sun.. the company gave me a full refund and we're going to make more for me for no charge... But week after week and I hear nothing from them passed

That deer footage looks like a movie! It's beautiful! I don't eat deer myself but I love to see em! I see them almost every morning I'm headed to work..
That's awesome, I often watch the fawns play from the stand. I won't harvest a doe with fawns, so hopefully this fall, I can get some good footage of them playing & eating.
Nice trip! I see the campsites on the other end from where I was are just as huge. No luck on the fishing huh? When I was there it was nearly deserted, but I didn’t have much time.
Nice vid! I have a candle like that that was given to me but I haven't used it yet.. does it really repel mosquitoes! That snake is exactly why I prefer tents in the summertime haha
There were one other couple two sites down, but I didn't hear nor see of them the entire time. The funny thing is, all 4 sites were reserved for the weekend. And yea, that nope rope startled me for a second, but unlike some idiots I just left it be and walked away perfectly fine without a trip to the er.
