In fairness it’s a pretty long film to sit through if it’s not your cup of tea. I feel the same way about romance films, never watched Dirty Dancing, and never will 🤣👍🏻
@@BigJimGaming. Same! When Dirty Dancing came out I was much more interested in Aliens and Dune. The latter started a lifelong love of David Lynch movies! I'll understand if this is heresy to a Brit, but I'm just not into Harry Potter. I do love Terry Pratchett though.
@@stashmerkin9576 😂 not heresy at all, I’ve never liked Harry Potter either. I like supernatural style films but more on the horror side than the family friendly stuff
@@BigJimGaming. Honestly I respect Rowling. 10-20 years ago I was at a house party with a bunch of friends. I walked into the den and found 4 people with their noses in the Potter book that just came out. Even though it's not my thing anyone that can convince people to pick up a book is fine by me! The only Potter movie I was interested in was the one with Gary Oldman. I think he's a magnificent actor.
Hey someone quick reply me I’m getting a modded switch lite with 128gb sd card and I just realised 128gb isn’t sufficient it can hardly store 6-7 games so I’ve decided to get at least a 256 sd soon but I’m confused because if I just directly insert the 256 new sd card will it work? Or do I just have to copy files from the 128 card to the new for it to run the jailbreak system? Pls help asap.
Hi, I wanted to reply but I haven’t tried anything with a modded switch. I’ve had a look on the internet and from what I can tell as long as the modded switch is not using a custom operating system you would need to insert the new 256sd into the switch and format it, then transfer the game files from the 128gb to the new one using a computer. BUT I must emphasise I haven’t tried this I’ve only ever re-downloaded games from the e shop and save data from the save data cloud so I can’t guarantee this will work
@@BigJimGaming. thanks for the effort made to reply, I just found out I have to download and install some things into the new sd card as well as copy the files from the old sd card for it to work.
@@BigJimGaming. It's pretty addicting, with about 3 different endings. Very challenging even on easy, it's worth checking out. The remaster came out for the switch and PS4 though. I feel like you'd enjoy this one.
@@BigJimGaming. yes it’s used on the launch models with the 90nm RSX The underfill between the GPU die and substrate is what fails and causes the YLOD. Nvidia fixed it with the 65 and 40nm RSX in later fats and slims.
@@BigJimGaming. Sony did this themselves back in the day to fix YLOD consoles. The PS3 mod community found a way to reverse engineer Sony’s method a few years ago. RIP Felix has a great documentary on this.
Excellent points on the Sony consoles & controllers my friend, thanks! I have a clean good working 2011 160GB Slim model, but I want another back-up PS3, just for insurance.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 😀 it’s never a bad idea to have a spare, I do the same, I think I mentioned in the video I have another super slim I got for practically nothing, I just need to fit a new disk drive as the one in it sticks, could be fun to do when I get round to it 😀👍🏻
@@The_Comic_Geek I would really like to have proper copies but honestly they’re out of my price range, I definitely want to play them though they look really good
Wow, a wonderful revelation of a PS2 game I didn't know about! Thank you for the terrific look at the game & it's mechanics! I am adding this to my PS2 games listed to obtain, thanks mate!
Honestly I’ve always found the dual shock to be better than the third party controllers I’ve tried, but there are a lot out there, hopefully someone else will be able to recommend one for you 😀👍🏻
This is the best way to transfer your data to a new SD card. It may not be the quickest but it the safest way to transfer all your save data without any problems. Great video, thank you!
Love Simpsons . Love games. Owned pretty much every Simpsons game since I was tiny and had Bart Vs space mutants on my NES. Great video lad. Great to relive some games I haven't played in decades
Thank you, I get the same nostalgia from these games, the fist one I played was the treehouse of horror game on the gameboy colour, I’ve still got it and still haven’t completed it 🤣
Relate to this alot. I started during lockdown. Do it as a hobby after retiring from contact sports. Keep up the great work mate and if you ever wanna chat let me know.
I really appreciate that, I was in a funk for a little while when I had to stop doing some of the things I used to do because my health wouldn’t let me not because I chose to stop, but discovering RU-vid and other new interests cured me of it and now I’m pretty happy. The key for me at least tends to be keeping my mind active with something I want to do, how have you found RU-vid? I’ll check out your channel later today, the unpopular opinion videos look really good I’m looking forward to watching 😀👍🏻
@@BigJimGaming. It's been a great experience. I think alot of people get into it wanting success and chasing views and subscribers. But from day one. I treated as a hobby and something that makes me happy. The fact I got to interview stars from things I have loved since a kid like star trek, hook, mighty ducks, Simpsons feels unreal at times. We all need to support each other. Especially those of us that accept the level we are at. Keep going mate. Love the Channel
Only ever played the OG Xbox game and recently completed chaos bleeds with my 12 year old. Loved that you could play as multiple characters. Loving this channel
I really like all the Buffy games, I know I’ve got the rose coloured nostalgia glasses on because I loved the series when it came out (and still do) the home console games are definitely the best of the bunch, and I liked being the different characters in chaos bleeds to, that’s the only reason I slightly prefer it to the Xbox one, but they’re all good 😀👍🏻
I bought this the weekend it came out and loved it. New to your channel. Gonna binge watch a load of your videos on my night shift later. Keep up the great work mate
It’s still a great fun game now, one of those games that has aged well, as I said in the video probably because of the cartoon graphics that stop it looking as old as it is. I hope that you enjoy some of my other videos too, I’m really flattered that you liked this one enough to want to watch some of my other stuff 😀👍🏻
2006. Just like Nicktoons Battle for Volcano Island (only that one was on gamecube, gba, and DS instead of PSP & Xbox cause Nick didn’t like to do Xbox games) It's not cel-shaded so it's a little more dated but outside of the first level, it's a decent looking Co-Op Game
I have 14 Activision games for the Atari 2600 with 3 more well on the way. I got the patch scores for the 14 games. Activision Decathlon, Chopper Command, Dolphin, Freeway, Grand Prix, Ice Hockey, Laser Blast, Megamania, Pitfall, River Raid, Skiing, Stampede, Starmaster and Tennis. On the way are Kaboom!, Keystone Kapers and Sky Jinks.
That’s a really cool collection of old school games, I’ve played more modern versions of Pitfall on the Sega Mega Drive and GBA but I’ve not had opportunity to play the original yet 😀👍🏻
It should work the same as any other game, if you have Nintendo online make sure the saves are uploaded to the save data cloud before swapping memory cards, then after swapping memory cards re-download the game or put the cartridge in depending if you own it physically or digitally and download the saved data from the cloud to your new memory card
The games are all on a micro sd card so I suppose you could try installing custom firmware but I’m not sure it would work well as it can’t be very powerful for the price, as you say highly doubt it could handle more powerful systems like PS1. But it is a cheap device to try as a first emulator and what is on it seems to work well, I’m using it quite a lot 😀👍🏻
Spent an enjoyable afternoon watching your Ali express purchases. Going to regret this 😂 as I know I will get addicted. Keep up the good work and your channel deserves to grow
I got the fat 40gb model for $100 AUD. It hasn't arrived yet but I think it's been modded with the firmware mod. No idea if I can upgrade the hard drive, but if I can, I have a spare 240GB ssd laying around so going to use that.
I’ve just had a look on Google and it looks like you can upgrade the hard drive, and there are some how to videos on RU-vid so hopefully you can if you decide you want to 😀👍🏻
9:41 I'm not sure why you asked what "MA" stands for, but considering you're playing a Punisher game, could it be Ma Gnucci? She is an enemy of the Punisher. So MA is her name, from Magdalena, I think 😋
Me too! But there's another theory: MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. I think it is not too much to say that it started all the emulator craze some decades ago.
As a longtime PS3 gamer myself with experience repairing and maintaining each iteration of models (original "fat", slim, and super slim), here's how I'd rank each model from most reliable to least reliable: 1. Super slim models from late 2012 to 2017. These things may not be visually appealing but they have a great reputation for being whisper quiet even on hot days and extremely power efficient. GPUs, CPUs, and Blu-Ray drivers on these have great reliability. Less power usage and less moving parts = less chance of overheating and hardware failures. 2. CECH-25xx and CECH-30xx slim models from mid 2010 to late 2012 (launch of the super slim model). Slim models from mid 2010 to mid 2011 are the CECH-25xx series and slim models from late 2011 to late 2012 are the CECH-30xx series. These things are also great in terms of power efficiency and come with decent Blu-Ray driver controllers embedded in the motherboard for greatly improved Blu-Ray reliability. GPUs and CPUs on these have great reliability as well. If you don't like the super slim models and want the slim model, definitely go for these. 3. CECH-21xx slim models from early 2010 to mid 2010. These slim models are pretty decent in terms of power efficiency and reliability of the Blu-Ray drive, CPU, and GPU. CECH-25xx and CECH-30xx slims are just better. 4. CECH-20xx slims (launch edition slims from late 2009 to early 2010). These models produce high amounts of heat output, weakening the console's reliability and making it susceptible to overheating and hardware failures. Not to mention, these models contain the 65 nm GPU that's in the last versions of the original "fat" model from late 2008 to late 2009. When shopping for PS3 slim models, stay away from these models if you can. 5. Original "fat" PS3 models from 2006 to late 2009 (launch of the slim model). No surprises here. These models have the highest power consumption and are extremely susceptible to overheating and hardware failures leading up to the yellow light of death (YLOD). Later original models from late 2008 to late 2009 are more reliable than earlier models but I'm increasingly seeing original models from 2008 to 2009 overheat and run into hardware problems. All of the earliest models from 2006 to 2007 are the most susceptible to the YLOD and if those haven't succumbed to the YLOD yet, it's only a matter of time when they eventually do succumb to the YLOD. If you wish to commit to purchasing a PS3 that's compatible with PS2 disks, definitely proceed with caution on those models. If compatibility with PS2 disks is not a priority because you have a working PS2, etc., just go for the reliable late slims and super slims.
Thank you for taking the time to write so much detailed information, I’ve saved what you’ve written for myself to refer back to in the future, really appreciate you doing this 😀👍🏻
@@BigJimGaming. sure thing. Oh and almost forgot to mention in the initial comment, the first 2 versions of the PS3 slim (CECH-20xx and CECH-21xx) have the Blu-Ray disc daughterboard paired to the motherboard and every PS3 super slim model has the Blu-Ray drive controller embedded in the motherboard like the last 2 slims (CECH-25xx and CECH-30xx) to reduce power draw and the likelihood of disk readability issues due to a failed Blu-Ray drive. Over the years, I'm seeing an increase of early slim models (numerous CECH-20xx and the CECH-21xx models every once in a while) run into problems reading disks due to defects on the Blu-Ray drive. The absolute worst PS3 models are the original "fat" CECHGxx and CECHHxx models released in late 2007 with a 40 GB HDD for the following reasons: 1. These are the first PS3s with disk based PS2 backwards compatibility completely axed as a cost cutting maneuver for Sony to make their system cheaper 2. These models still use the 90 nm GPU that made earlier PS3s with disk based PS2 backwards compatibility susceptible to the YLOD 3. These models have redesigned cooling systems that are cheaper and have less air flow (no front intake vents), making them susceptible to overheating 4. These models have horrendous heatsinks that weaken the GPU's reliability. If you're shopping for an original "fat" PS3 for any reason, avoid the late 2007 models (CECHGxx and CECHHxx) at all costs.
@@obscurelight interesting. CECH-25xx series slims are mostly one of the most reliable batches of slim models out there. I don't often see slim models later than the CECH-20xx series models run into hardware issues due to overheating since slim models after CECH-20xx have lower power draw to reduce overheating issues. As time goes on, most of the issues I see on PS3 slim models are problems with the disk drive. PS3 slims have an elegant design but I still like the super slim models better because those things are heavily reliable due to less moving parts and less power usage. Less moving parts and less power usage = less chance for the console to fail. In addition, disassembling super slim PS3s for maintenance are a lot easier in comparison to the original "fat" models and the slim models. The PS3 super slim model's design might not be the most appealing to everyone but it doesn't matter to me. I just want a console built to last and play all the games I want to play. Nothing more, nothing less. I've had the super slim model since 2015 after my original model from 2008 broke down because of defects on the Blu-ray drive and overheating issues and my super slim model still functions like it did on day 1 since I keep it free of dust and perfectly ventilated and I haven't messed with the thermal paste yet.
I'm late to this video post . Black Monday was so realistic at the time and a great story and a great game ( I still play the game on the steamdeck) . I understand True Crime : LA was not " wow" in graphics , but the map was on point , same goes for True Crime : NYC. All three games help me get around through London, Los Angeles and New York City . I never played the original due to rumors of the controls . But playing a video game that is not based in a USA location is refreshing .
I remember getting it when it came out, Black Monday was the first of the two Getaway games I played and as a Brit it was nice to play a game set n a city I could recognise. The first Getaway game is also worth a play (if you still play 6th gen games) the controls are easy enough to get used to 😀👍🏻
The basic gameplay actually stems from an old flash game called Motherload in 2004 that pushed boundaries in scale of what a browser game could do. Simply digging down, mining for the best gems to buy upgrades that let you dig deeper and mine more valuable ore, but leaving a safe route back to the surface whilst minding your fuel gauge enough for the return journey. Steamworld Dig added a ton of story and quality animation that makes it much more entertaining to play. It doesn't outstay it's welcome though like many open world explorathons.
That’s really interesting about Motherload thank you for letting me know 😀 Have you tried the sequel steamworld dig 2? It carries on the story from this one and adds a few more mechanics, if you liked this game it’s worth checking out and goes on sale on the switch e shop fairly regularly (and probably on other e shops too) 😀👍🏻
I was quite impressed with it for the price, I’ve played through Shredder’s Revenge using it and was quite happy with it 😀 I’m glad my video was useful for you 😀👍🏻
That’s interesting to know, I wonder if it is possible to put the later model GPU in a launch model fat PS3 that is PS2 backwards compatible to make it more reliable, could be a fun mod to do 🤔
The later generations of fat ps3 use a 65nm gpu that is much more reliable. I used to repair these things and I never saw anything CECHL01 or later get the YLOD.
Well and the lack of a driving element is ironic since the rolling of his Aston set a world record. From what I have heard they tried to roll the Aston a bunch of times with a ramp. The car was so stable that it would correct itself and land on it's wheels. So the used a ram.... I don't recall if it was hydraulic or pneumatic. After they got the car rolling, it flipped 7 times.
That’s a good point, I forgot all about the rolling Aston, there’s some clips on RU-vid of some of the failed attempts I’ve just watched, it’s pretty cool how they managed to do it in the end, and shows how good the car was that they had to go to the the lengths they did to make it happen 😀👍🏻
@@BigJimGaming. I love early 2000s Astons. Beautiful bodies, big v12s, 6 speed transmissions. I look at the stuff they make today, and I just don't get it. If I remember right they were practicing the stunt with a BMW of some sort so they figured the ramp would work. The Aston was just to stable.
@@nimbly1693 I’m a big car enthusiast myself and Aston Martins are definitely dream cars to me (probably partly because of the James Bond connection 🤣) apart from the obvious DB5 I would love a DB9, that’s been on my dream car list since the Top Gear special they did racing to Monte Carlo in the mid 2000’s with Jeremy Clarkson in a DB9 and James May and Richard Hammond using anything other than cars
Excellent titles, I especially adore "AC Black Flag" & "AC Rogue Remastered" which I ironically bought & downloaded into my PS4 Pro recently, along with the strategy guide. I played "Sid Meier's Pirates" on my 1987 C-64 many moons ago. I own a couple Pirate games in my original Xbox collection as well.
The 2 assassins creed games are definitely the best of the bunch😀 I wouldn’t mind playing the original Sid Meir’s pirates just to compare it to the remake. Are any of the pirate games you have for the original Xbox ones not on my list?
@BigJimGaming. I only have "Pirates of the Caribbean" on the original Xbox & "Bloodwake", which has modern day Pirates. I also have "Risen 1, 2 & 3", some of which have a excellent Pirate action on the 360.
@@vinniecorleone62 I’ve got one of the pirates of the Caribbean games on the PS2, I debated including it but decided not to because it’s not a terrible game but I wouldn’t call it good either, I haven’t heard of bloodwake before I’ll have a look at it 😀👍🏻
I think that The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt and its sequel The Pirate: Plague of the Dead both deserve a mention. They may be mobile games, but if you want a great pirate experience, you can't go wrong with either.
Im fairly certain most of the cast voiced their characters for the first console game and have not found any media saying otherwise, Alyson Hannigan however did not return for Chaos Bleeds I personally grew up playing Chaos Bleeds but since buying and playing the original game I actually prefer the first one, feels like there are more things you can do combat wise (like aiming and throwing a stake at an enemy)
That’s a good point about the combat differences. As I said in the video I do really like them both, I like all the Buffy games, they’re great fun and if you’re a fan of the franchise you can’t go wrong with any of them. I only slightly prefer Chaos Bleeds, and that might be nostalgia as it’s the first one I played when it came out on the 6th gen, and I played it quite a lot 😀👍🏻
