Under Par Acres is our family story about leaving everything behind to build 70 acres of raw land into a "dream golf homestead". We have completed construction and moved into our new farmhouse, and we are in the process of building out our backyard golf practice facilities. We built a DIY putting green, multiple tee boxes, a backyard golf bunker, and we are turning our 10 acre hay field into our very own driving range! We are videoing all of the projects we build, and also sharing #shorts of all the day to day work and fun we are having on our dream golf homestead!

Dang i wish my middle school had a golf team but im still thinking if i want to go to private school or not for golf even though the high school team won states😂
Man and I thought I had a big yard to fix up. I have a yard thats about 4 acres, and it is CRAZY bumpy (thanks to an invasion of moles) and there are quite a few hills and dips. My yard is anything but flat, the hills go up maybe a 12-16 inches likewise with the dips. My zero turn mower is taking a beating with the uneven ground, not to mention the mole hills. Im very new to taking care of a lawn / property of this size. Would it be worth using this method to completely tear up the soil and level it? Id imagine I would have to reseed the entire yard at that point
The method I used worked alright, and I did the same thing the next year going all in, but if I had to do it again, I would use something different than a box blade. I would till the yard up very well and then you a land leveler instead of a box blade. This attachment is built to specifically level out and smoothen surfaces. The box blade work alright, but I believe the land leveler would work better. You would want to see after finishing and before some rain is moving in.
You should consider making a low capacity business out of that! You could probably get some coaching hosted there, maybe even just some people who want to go practice
Couldn't make it more than a minute in, can't stand royalty free music, you're better off recording an hour of the natural ambience of your farm and using that as needed
He's starting to get it over 200 yards on a flat and smooth fairway. The length will come with growth though, we are working hard to just focus on solid mechanics.
Note to future DIYers: Building this will give you a better golf swing AND a better broad stroke with your shovel. I woulda rented an excavator to do the grading and load the gravel in the gator but can’t complain about using the machine you have.
🤣🤣 At some point I plan to build bigger and will DEFINITELY rent some equipment! I was building on a very tight budget due to the house build at the time...
