I have been a licensed funeral director for 20 years and have worked in the funeral business for 27 years. It is truly a passion for me. In my 20 years, I have freelanced at multiple locations and have been the on-site director at three funeral homes. I have gained a unique perspective of the business through my work in several communities and through these different businesses. Funeral homes use varying levels of technology, personalization, and social media. I have seen so many ways to maneuver through the funeral process, from removals, paperwork, prep work, arrangements, staffing, and aftercare.
I want to help funeral directors give a better customer experience to the families they serve. I want to help educate consumers about the different areas of the funeral business. I want to help those with a passion for the business get pointed in the right direction towards working in the business or to mortuary school.
I have a question. My father’s cremated remains were buried at a National cemetery and he has a beautiful marble headstone my mother is 99,, and I know the usual burial would be with my dad, and her name and inscription on the back of his headstone. She has decided she wants to be placed in a columbarium (phobia about going into the ground). Can that be done, or is her only option to be buried there (or of course a columbarium at a non National cemetery)
Train enthusiasts of "particularly steam locomotives", have been known to request their ashes be tossed into the burning firebox of a steam locomotive while it is running down the tracks which eventually gets puffed out of the engines smoke stack with the coal smoke and steam and is thrust into the air at high pressure along the line and dispersed along the countryside.
I lost my infant daughter last year and i know my hurt will always be above everyone else's, but i still feel horrible for everyone else who had to work with her. It has scarred and broken me, so I can't imagine how they feel. I feel bad for the EMTs who came on scene, I feel horrible for the doctors who worked on her to no avail., i feel for the person who had to call her tome of death,I feel for the person who had to do her autopsy, and I feel for the mortician who had to prepare her for ger final viewing and did the cremation.
I'm very sorry for ur loss. I never had children, my pregnancy was not successful. My heart goes out to u & ur family. May ur baby be in peace, bless baby's little heart. 💕🕊⚘️🪽
She's right about the second flag question. If your vet passes at the VA, they immediately cover his bed with a flag and do an "Honor Walk" from a back entrance or old ambulance bay to transfer the body to the funeral home and the funeral home uses that same flag. I'm a member of a veteran's group and we do gun salutes and military funerals. We can provide additional flags to a spouse or child. Just give us a call and tell us the situation. We'll gladly oblige most requests.
Well I thought there was a purple guess not, so I guess I would say metallic Pink would be the color I would pick! Love to you KARI from AKRON, OHIO ❤❤😊😊
KARI always shows us the most interesting things and explains what we are watching in such a great way! I liked the purple color! Love to you KARI ❤❤❤from, AKRON, OHIO
I thought if you were buried in a casket a vault MUST be used. According to a city in GA I visited the other day this is not the case. Can you explain?
We still havent done anything with my son's ashes from April 2022. They are in his own wardrobe along with the ashes of his two beloved dogs who passed since. We want to place 50% ashes near where he loved fishing up the coast and 40% in a box in the wall with other family members. The other 10% we can all share between us.
Thanks KARI and Josh for filming this and telling us all this great information, very interesting to learn these things! Good to see you KARI and Josh! Love ❤❤to you both from AKRON,OHIO 😊😊
I'm very familiar with the magic capital of the world in Colin . My Uncle Peter Fauer was a magician and ventriloquist. He would take me to see the magic show. His ventriloquist dummy is in the world's only museum dedicated to ventriloquists. There's also a video clip of one of the guys who met my Uncle and told the story about him and The Fauer Boy . Thanks for covering this it brought up alot of memories ❤
