I have just come back into the hobby after 20 years absence .Obviously I missed out on these but placed a notification request E mail for when fresh stocks of the Dutch 37s come back in stock .I'm very impressed with the detail from Accurascale and a realistic price to suit
Hi Accy keep up the goid work, this was simply excellent! Please tell me you are doing a DC Rail grey livery eventually? Keep them coming! Cheers Nick Redshed.
We painted a lot of EWS locos at Canton. When first painted, the red is lighter and brighter, but after some months in service, the paint actually went into a darker maroon shade
Not going to lie, rather underwhelming to pick a regular DB Red 60 as an exclusive...Sure it was the last one built but it does not have the style of 66789 for instance, nor does it have any historical significance... Going to be a hard pass from me this time round.
In fairness to Accurascale. 60100 is the last member and the last UK diesel locomotive to be built. 60098 would have been ideal maybe in EW&S livery but there is another company doing that one in triple grey for Rails of Sheffield.
Possible for a future release. But why would Accurascale want to model 60006 when it was scrapped in 2020 due the severe damage from the fire it had in 2004? But it was a nice livery though.
94 of the 99 have been sold/pending sale to undisclosed buyers. Only 60011, 60017, 60024, 60062 and 60074 remain and are in reserve. 60006 was scrapped due to fire damage in 2004.
Any chance you would consider a 3 car 205 DMU …glorious thumper the only multiple unit I would consider on my layout aka almost a class 20 few cylinders short but sound so nice Thanks Richard
The Class 60 is at the very limit of my eclectic spectrum collection of locos, so I will be investing in one, as I'm sure either will be superb. PS: can you please consider a class 40? I would put my pre-order cash down immediately for an Accurascale 40. Very good video.
I remember being out on the field at school and hearing a diesel I'd never heard before running on the track behind. As soon as school finished I ran home and got changed to go and find what was making this noise, I just got there in time to see 60001 heading away from me. That was its first day of testing I believe.
