I have seldom seen a product presentation as interesting, informative and so very nicely video-ed as this one. Accurascale is top notch professional and friendly customer orientated ! Other makes can learn from your positive attitudes - not to mention 'manors' and decent price politics. Success Accurascale - keep on steaming !

Although I have a soft spot for Accurascale, as many of us do, I think this is a bit unnecessary given that both Hornby and Bachmann have released versions. Will probably buy a pack. This type of wagon is great for weathering as they got very rusty and dirty. Had a look through BR and Private owner wagons, Colin J. Marden to see if there was any type of wagon that is missing to modellers that I could recommend and the answer was no for modern era. Best I could come up with was the larger conflats which Rapido already model in N scale. nb From their site. "BR created 60 Diagram 1/60 ‘Conflat Ps’ for the introduction of the Anglo-Scottish ‘Condor’ service in 1959. They were rebuilt from Dia. 1/431 and 1/432 ‘Plate’ wagons. The sides and floors were removed, they were fitted with roller bearings and new suspension and a new central girder allowed them to carry one Type BD container as well as a Type A".

I can see Hornby rushing out a lad of these, like they always do.
@lapiswake6583
@lapiswake6583 11 месяцев назад
Awesome. My favourite type of wagon. I have quite a few bachmann ones of the ex-mainline and later types. I recently split them into a shorter fitted rake and a longer unfitted rake, with the aim to extend the unfitted rake back to where the rake was before it was split. So these give me an opportunity to add yet more variance into the rake. I'd be interested to see an SNCF one, whether it be a triple pack in SNCF livery or as one of 3 in a triple pack of unfitted 16 tonners of mixed types.

I like the look of the wagons, I would like accurascale to do is a class 08 diesel shunter and also a class 56 locomotives.
@peterreed6180
@peterreed6180 11 месяцев назад
58 would be nice but I suspect something more steam related which is good. Either way it'll be the usual incredible detail, quality and value from Accurascale. Currently running rings round (or should I say roundy roundy!) the major manufacturers!

A bit early for my modelling era, but everybody needs a 16t or perhaps 20 on their trainset. as an aside, my two class 37/6 sound fitted arrived today ( 01 Sept ) and I'll be commissioning them over this weekend,

hi there, great video,will get some of these, no one yet has thought to build a ready to run model of electric loco 20003 of 1948 which ran on the southern region, used to do the Newhaven boat train

What a great presentation, brilliant. These are a much needed wagon, I wanted a rake of them a few years ago and really struggled to find any Bachmann ones, so I think there is a big market for more, so well done on making these. One question, will we still be limited to small production runs or are these going to be in production for many years to come...............Thank you, Dave.

I think the only truly accurate model 16 ton mineral wagon up til now was/is the old Airfix/Dapol model - it is certainly the only one that wasn't distorted to fit a pre-existing chassis.

Accurascale seems to make more new announcements than some of the more established brands, and the level of presentation is miles ahead. Always thought that the Bachmann example wasn't a bad model. Dapol's version on the other hand is an out of scale bodge. It's like they designed the body to fit an existing chassis. The Accurascale model should be amazing. Hope it's a large production run, these will sell really well.

There are already two well detailed, smooth running O8 models on the market, so I can’t really see why we need a third. Just my opinion though.
@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway
@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway 11 месяцев назад
@ModelRailwayFan38 While I would agree with you as I have a number from both manufacturers. neither are sound fitted with stay alive from the off. That said, Accurascales offers of locomotives have already been produced by Hornby and Bachmann 31. 37 and 50s. Dapol Manor's. It's only with competition from different manufacturers that improvements are made to models. Why do Accurascale fit stay alives? It's because that's what customer's want. Hornby and Bachmann don't plus Accurascale class 37 is cheaper than Bachmann. Thats Progress
@modelrailfan37
@modelrailfan37 11 месяцев назад
@@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway agreed, I just think though it would be better to see something that hasn’t already been made, or hasn’t been for a while. Also, Hornby’s latest run of O8 models will have sound fitted options, which is nice to see, and companies such as YouChoose make sound decoder files that are already loaded onto Zimo decoders, which are easy to install.
@StormmyStormmy
@StormmyStormmy 11 месяцев назад
@@modelrailfan37 The Hornby class 08 is a great model, the Bachmann class 08 latest model doesn't even have proper wheel bearings! (Sam's Trains review) no class 08 in 00 gauge come with lighting as standard, they are very expensive for what you get, i do believe Accurascale could produce an ultra detailed model that would be very good value for money in a hobby where manufacturers are taking the piss with some of their prices! your opinion is noted but it's about time a new model on another level is released, this is my opinion.
@StormmyStormmy

The biggest difference between your models and the real thing is that there don't appear to be any dents in the main panels. They are all straight out of the manufacturers. Some 3D scans of the bent and dented ones would have much more character.
