It is not only the screen which needs improvements everything has small leters under buttons.If you consider bigger version of Deluge for future please write things on buttons like Roland.Second idea is to make it as big as Mac book pro with expression buttons and a level knobs set on right side.Optional software to run on I pads for menu diving would be a killer.Bluetooth as well.Multichannel recording to daw.Everyone has a laptop or a I pad carrying Deluge together with them is not a big deal.I am willing to pay extra %50 for bigger and improved version.Maybe a folding screen like a laptop rest with only buttons and knobs.Please test your letters visibility with old guys

I have owned every significant groovebox on the market in the past decade and nothing comes close to the Deluge! Nothing!! The Deluge is the only groovebox that is PERFECTION! I am certain that there has never been and there will never be a groovebox that can do anything the Deluge can do right this second. And that is not hyperbole. The Deluge does EVERYTHING that my Octatrack, MPC, Digitone, Digitakt etc. . . can do BUT BETTER! How does it do “it” better? The Deluge makes things that might take you a year to learn how to do on the Octratrack elementary. And that begs the question of “why” other manufacturer’s don’t work on their UI and UE. Elektron, for example, puts ZERO thought into the new user’s experience and could care less about the learning curve. It’s as if Elektron employs the very same engineers to both conceptualize and procedurally execute each function. And I’m sure Synthstrom does the same thing. But the engineer at Synthstrom takes into account the fact that his technology is going to eventually wind up in the hands of an artist without a PHD in computer engineering. Synthstrom must use a quantum computer or a corollary to minimize the number of steps it takes to execute every single function. And each procedure makes sense (ie is intuitive). For example, I have a friend who is a UI engineer for John Deere. Her sole job is to find a way to translate the complexity of the technology developed by the core John Deere engineers (like GPS guided paths to maximize combine efficiency with the least number of turns) into a user friendly language that even a farmer without a middle school diploma can easily understand. In other words she takes the power of Unix and delivers it in a visual Apple-style user interface. I know I’ve written a lot but I want musicians to make the right purchasing decisions. We don’t all have endless reserves of cash in hand to buy every groovebox in the market just to see which one works best for them. So to summarize everything, I assure you that there is no technology left out on the Deluge. It does ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING any other groovebox can do (conditional trigs, probabilities, parameter sequencing, everything!) BUT EASIER AND WITH MORE POWER! And by “more power” I am referring to Synthstrom’s economical use of every last drop of processing power. You can add unlimited tracks until you literally run out of processing power. Other companies limit the number of tracks before you even get close to maxing out the processor’s potential. Just buy it and thank me 😊🙏

Super impressed with the Deluge community and the company. I support the small shops that are passionate about the experience. Thank you.

This is exciting stuff, and I’m keen to take a closer look at the git repo to see how it all hangs together. I’m a semi-retired corporate technology guy - and whilst that’s worlds away from this stuff, the first part of my career (around 10 years) was spent in embedded real-time programming, mainly in data communications. That was 30 years ago but it feels like yesterday, and the concepts remain quite fresh and quite relevant to the challenges ahead for Deluge. I’ll find the best forum for more detailed tech discussion, but the complexities around USB hold a particular interest. If it’s way too messy, then there’s something wrong with the layered abstraction model (assuming that this exists in the code) - and it’s also possible that Renasas’ own model and USB device driver design is flawed or incomplete. If it’s more akin to example code then that might be a hint… A USB multi-stream / multi-device solution might indeed be complex, but it should present a very simple internal API and dialogue management model - or, at least, a comprehensible and workable one. There are ways to tackle this.

Can anyone implement a code for long (or less long) samples to repitch, like the repitch function in the warp section in ableton? the only standalone sampler that does that is the maschine+, but would really like that on the deluge, to use it instead of a timestretch algorhytm.

@joeymc5272 Год назад
@@HenningSprang ableton. Main thing for me and this might be achieved already but getting proper daw clock sync without jitter. No matter what i try at least and i cant get deluge to stay in sync with ableton longterm. Having some type of max4live device maybe that even has other features for triggering clips etc… main one is getting daw clock sync thats killing me.
@HenningSprang
@HenningSprang Год назад
@@joeymc5272 sounds more like a basic midi syncing issue then "daw integration". If the deluge's midi implementation is unreliable, it needs to be fixed - but in that setup it could just as well be ableton, the midi interface on the computer, or the OS'es midi stack on the computer which are buggy.
