Yank, here. I have a '17 that I bought new. With some intake bits, an intercooler and a custom tune, it makes 210 hp and 276 tq at the wheels. These cars are pretty rare in the Americas. Only car guys notice it at all, and even that's pretty rare. I don't worry about it getting stolen. Most Americans can't drive a manual, and there's no demand for these cars in chop shops. Anyway, this thing is an absolute joy on a twisty road, and I'll never sell it. I even bought a second car to keep it out of the snow and salt. Don't worry about what other people think. It's your car, you like it, and that's enough. Peace from the USA!
I usually really enjoy your reviews. This one is no different but the frequent mention of the Mafia is a bit annoying. Organized crime exists everywhere. To constantly make reference to it just because the car is Italian reinforces unnecessary stereotypes. Thank you.
Why are you comparing this ds4 to high end luxury brand car like Land Rover. It amazing what they are giving you for the price these car are. You can’t compare these
@Shooting-Up no definitely not the cars fault but also people don’t like how they’re modified either. The hate is associated with both the car and the owners
Awsome review. Thinking of getting one of these because the insurance is cheap compared to other cars in the price range. I'd probably rather go for a 4 series but the insurance for me is double.
Love the review, keep it up. Just randomly found out the video now... And even more funny, I think it's shot in Aldershot (shit hole) , town that I work in 😂
I have one just got it remapped to 260hp and it’s such a big difference and makes it a lot more fun while keeping the good mpg and comfort , also would want to say this is the first time I’ve watched one of your videos and I think if you keep doing what your doing you’ll go far I see very good potential in this channel, all the best good luck 🙌
add an air intake and will increase to 290ish. I added a RAMAIR air intake and remapped to that figure. Make sure to swap out your OEM plastic charge pipes to metal, as these are known to blow with the increased pressure of a stage 1
I still have my S5 Quattro Black Edition, which I had since new ..Has bearly 20K on it!. Dont drive it enough, but when I do, it always puts a smile on my face 😁!!
one ting i will never get is people mocking other ppls cars, thats something they have wored hard for and they love. Like cant ppl just keep opinions to themselves.
genuinely one of the most honest and enjoyable videos on the internet. i've been in love with this car ever since i was a kid and seeing this video has only pumped my love for the car. goat stuff.
Jaguar X-type 2.2 TDCi (2004 - 2009) has the Mazda WL-T, PSA-engineered DW12 (non-interference I4) engine, aka Duratorq ZSD422 (Puma). Mazda BT50 2.2 TDCi has the ZSD422 I4 engine (2011 - 2021). Mazda BT50 3.2 TDCi has the ZSD422 I5 engine. The Freelander LR2 2.2 has the Ford Duratorq 2.2 TDCi, based on the Mazda WL-T engine. Freelander TD4 issues @ 161000km: cracked dashboard, blown egr cooler, leaking intercooler, #2 injector seal(?), electrical which disables interior lights and driver door window control module, headliner replaced, rotten egr to manifold inlet hose & clamp, starter serviced, sunroof motor gear cog broken, crankshaft sensor. I service the engine, replaced all fluids and done the brake, powersteering and ATF. Outstanding are the Haldex 3 and rear diff fluids. Did the aux and cam belts, rollers and tensioners. Still a fairly dry engine. Doing service intervals of 10-15000 km. Have towed a 1.6t caravan, no problem. The engine is dependable imho. I loved the Jaguar 2.2 estate and am considering the BT50. Alas, it is what Landrover bolted onto and around the engine that gives the most trouble. The 6 sp Aisin AT is doing a good job so far. The engine will outlast the car, iff maintained. Fuel consumption varies, mixed is about 9-9.5L/100km, highway 7-8.5L/100km.
I’ve had mine since 2017. For the money, there is nothing on the market this exclusive, this rare and this exciting. Every drive fills you with a sense of occasion. I’ve just got back from a 6 day, 1600 mile roadtrip to the Swiss, Italian and French Alps and the car just revelled in it! The CSL steering rack and LSD make this little big hearted ‘M’ car an absolute joy!..especially with the Karbonius CSL airbox fitted..👌🏼🟥🟪🟦
I own one for 17 years nov, it's a great car, fun to drive, looks really nice, materials are solid, almost 300k on the clock, no extra issues, little bit of rust i need to adress this year, but that's it.
Audi TT Mk1s are one of my favorite looking cars ever. I just bought a 2001 roadster in amazing condition in nimbus grey. It’s art. It drives better than my old boxster (Porsche) did, the interior design is just as gorgeous as exterior. It sounds great and love the turbo.
This would work really well when you’re in somewhere away from home - foreign country again for example. then the person would have far less of local knowledge helping them.
