I have a 2004 luxury sport, its done 350,000kms. I drove it across the Nullarbor Plain 2800kms 44c degrees. It did not miss a beat. Yes its a bit tired and blows a bit of smoke on start up but it is such a nice car to drive and it was dirt cheap. Only things I have had to do in 18 months are basic servicing, ignition barrel repair and brake pads and rotors. check the oil, coolant and tyre pressures every week... Highly recommended 🇦🇺❤
I have one of the best in the world.. a Yellow 2000 model ..6 speed manual.. I’ve owned since new and only done 86,000kms it’s the lightweight model at 1320 kg
And doesn't have construction flaws causing the sills and inner arches to disintegrate like bread crumbs. 90% of all is200s in my country have rusted so badly that the car has the integrity of a dry biscuit. The is250 consumes much less fuel despite being pretty much as fast as a (low boost) supercharged is200 lol, atleast the manual version. The is200 is a nice looking car though, had one before my 250. However the throttlebody of the is200 is horrible, the worst throttle response I have ever felt. Happy the 250 don't have that problem. The torsen diff in the sport version of the is200 was nice though!
Just got my w reg 2001 is 200se on 167thou miles just replaced the clutch. And she’s so quiet on tick over sometimes I forget to turn it off if I get distracted 😂👌👌
