Hi and welcome to the Evolved Details youtube channel.
Here you will find detailing and car cleaning videos as well as product reviews and comparisons so be sure to subscribe and keep an eye out to see if your favourite products are reviewed Email me at evolveddetails@gmail.com
I like the product but, you end up using nearly half the bottle for all of your tires. It can't be diluted and that makes it expensive. I use Dark Furi diluted 4-1 and get better results while saving money.
Adding a topper is skewing results though. I want to see what the products themselves can do not what adding a topper every few weeks will do as then you're just seeing the results from the topper and not so much the base product
I love how accurate yoiu are in your testing, it's like im doing it with my detail oriented brain, very very useful, i have CMX and love it, but now I know I need to redoe every 8weeks for perfect results. but the Ceramic coating is amazing on the side, it's like the first day. Amazing, I think it's better in the long run, but at the same time we love applying it every now and then, lets be honest :))))
Excellent review thanks for sharing! Just a question can you tell between ccquartz lite and Gyeon can coat any comments about water spots ?? Please Thanks
Hi Ross I actually haven't had any issues with water spotting that wasn't just washed off easily. I don't think either would be much different overall in that aspect
I just tried bead machine in place of carpro reload for the DIY elixir recipe. I think you have covered this on your channel too. I found using bead machine instead of reload was so so much better. No streaking or high spots either. Give it a go!
Bowdens have a great wax that I've used a few times and really like. The issue is it's far more expensive Not as quick to apply Can't use on as many surfaces eg plastics Not suitable on top of a ceramic coating
Bead machine is good stuff. I mainly use all bowdens gear. Love how easy it is to use and maintain with bowdens happy ending. I even bead machined all my door jambs, under bonnet etc..
I just tested Bowden’s Own Bead Machine in my 23 International Spray Products Comparison on my channel. It was fairly flat after 126 days. That panel stayed outside for the test in the Texas weather. I expected better performance, but it did finish in the best finishers, as I gave it an Honorable Mention after going back & re-timing the water behavior in slow motion. You should go check out my results. Thx for the testing!
How does the new formula opticoat hyper seal compare to the bowdens bead machine? Os the bowdens bead machine better than the turtle wax graphene flex wax?
Beautiful car mate. I haven’t used snow in ages… might dust the cobwebs off it! I’ve been using blue candy after ur recommendation a while back. 2morrow going to use Nv evo for the first time.
Both are great for sure. I think snow is better but at the price blue candy cannot be beaten so comes down to price really. Ohh nice NV Evo was great when I tested it out
Boost V2 is like a firework. Starts off with a major bang with slickness & crazy beads but dies off super quick. Was surpised they marketed this as there longest lasting sealant, its not even close.
Apparently this can do 3-6 months protection. Confusing product for such a high price. Does look great though, made that primer gray pop 😂 Great videos as always
Yeah I mean looking back at the test I did with this product it was starting to fail at the 2 week point so I'd say 1 month max. But it's meant to be a topper product so I don't think people would be applying as base protection and expecting months worth of durability
I think I'll do another video soon and include a decon and clay to see what happens as it definitely worked on some spray sealants in a previous series
Great video. I'm a big fan of Nv products. Have Evo ceramic coating on my car still going strong after 2.5 yrs. Boost V2 is big step up from V1 IMO. Only downside is the cost. You'd think being Australian their products would cheaper for us here.
Thanks mate, yeah I think most NV products we get well priced but some definitely cost a bit more than the imported competition which seems odd but you if they work well and I like them I'm happy to pay a little extra sometimes
The mirch ceramic detailer is enhanced and super easy to use. Spray on wipe off with the drying towel. For wipe on wipe off I'll usually go with Afterglow by Bowden's.
I have some of that here although it's from when first released so I don't know if it's still the same formula. I do use that method with a driving towel on some products but only if I'm about to do a microfibre wash as I hate clogging up my drying towels
For an alkaline I mix between mirch decon and Bowden's mega snow foam. For a more acidic I use gyeon restart. But use them all through the foam cannon to get more dwell time.
@@DARTHPHIKL thanks, so many products out there right now and so much info these days trying to find which way to go. Just recently purchased our first new car in 10 years, so trying to do it right, had it ceramic coated, just want to maintain it correctly. Have always done the basics of 2 bucket wash on all my cars for so long, but this car cost us a shit load of money so trying to learn all this and do it right. Been using mostly platinum potions and Bowdens products but want to try out some Gyeon products
@@magicmatt4195 the restart is a good acidic wash. Really refreshes the coating. Repco has it on sale pretty regularly for 25% off, Bowden's for the 30% off. Mirch just had their eofy sale. If you aren't using a prewash snow foam, I would definitely start now.
@@DARTHPHIKL yeah I have a snow foam, have used bowdens snow job and platinum potions foam as well, both worked well. Definitely makes the cleaning a lot easier, wash mitt doesn’t get dirty at all, been trying to wash the car weekly haha.
Yeo exactly what Phil said. Carpro descale is the one I want to grab next but not something you want to use regularly. Platinum potions, bowdens and gyeon are all great brands to use from and will do well maintaining the coating you got
Nice, really like your breakdowns of products. I have Lustre…, but don’t have this one, yet. Thank you for the video, and I hope you’re doing well. Tim
I just got both a few weeks ago and v2 smeared very bad. I put more effort than usual spray sealants/boosters into removing it and it still smeared. I only used it that one time and will try again soon. But odd enough, I didn’t try to remove it and let it sit overnight and with plans of just washing it off the next day, but I couldn’t see the smears the next day. I did use lustre a few times on the same coated car and it was amazing. It came off easier than anything and left it glossy and slick.
Yeah easier to use than most similar products it seems. But around 10- $15 aud more than Carpro Elixir or Gyeon CD, not a crazy price at all though for how little is needed per use
A degreaser on non acid wheel cleaner is good for cleaning and what I use most washes, but every now and then its good to use something to remove all the iron build up from the brakes. I use them every 4 washes or so
I ceramic coated my wheels with Dlux today and was wondering that i applied less product both front n back, but after seeing your video I realized i have applied way too much product 😂
For a gyeon coating I'd say it is as I'm sure they've done a lot of testing to make sure it works. I didn't have any issues with my carpro coating having it although it is a bit more work compared to a ceramic detailer for example so maybe not something you want to apply too often
