Great ,I needed this solution cause i do remote Music for video purposes and can’t live without my Favorite pedals ,there is my Tone.I will buy it. Can you tell me the Cost of the unit?
*((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( PLEASE ALLOW ME TPO SAY THIS AND HEAR ME CLEARLY ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))* *I think that MISSIONS should really do far more CAMPAINGING for the Mission Engineering Expressionator Multi-expression Controller!* There are so many vast amounts of guitar players that have never heard of this product or have seen it and DO NOT innerstand how it is relevant to their guitar Rig Composition!. HELL, myself personally, was looking for this very solution and saw it on the google feed many times but glance right over it every time not innerstanding the tech nor how it would BENEFIT ME! It was the men at LA SOUND DESIGNED that I called up looking for the solution, which referred me to this #indispensable-pedal/ device. I make this issue because all to often companies will come up with clever devices like this that solves hella issues but DROP THE BALL when it comes to the Publicity of that product. As a result the product DOES NOT DO as well as it could on the market and eventually they will discontinue making it - when the audience was there the entire time for it, the company JUST FAILED at reaching them/ us and showing how they can solve a major issue!!! Most guitar players I see, that need such a device as a the Mission Engineering Expressionator Multi-expression Controller; simply give up and purchase an ALL IN 1 digital effects solutions, dial in the desired effect they were getting in a single pedal and control different effects with MIDI CC.
👏 Really a great, useful video. Thank you. For a minute I was afraid that you couldn't use 2 separate types of controls (controller and expression). This was a quick easy bit of reassurance. Thanks again,
I know this is an old video, but can the trim pot be adjusted so that the volume pedal can behave as a boost? That is, full up would be "normal" volume and full down would be "boost/solo" (say 3db more)? I can't seem to adjust mine to make this happen. It only allows a low level bleed at full up.
This is really, really cool James. Thanks for sharing Brother. All the best from Ireland. I’ll raise a beer (or two) to You this coming Sunday St. Patrick’s Day. 🇮🇪☘️😎🎼🎸🍺🍻🍺👍
Have you ever tried/tested the Myvolts ripcord? Supposedly a 9v 1a powersupply (although it claims max power output 12w) and supposedly works with the Stomp. Although a second one I'm testing just shuts off, probably due to overheating. I assume the stomp sometimes demands more power, just now it did that with Poly Sustain block in constant use.
My setup is different. I have a USB to 9v converter single cord going to an 8 way splitter (the ones you get with the cheap wall adapter). Seems to work great.
@@TheJuniorqmpb - yeah I don't notice any big noise or anything. It's just powered off those battery packs that you can charge your phone with through the USB. If you get the US b to 9 volt converter thing the polarities might be the wrong way you can also get a polarity switcher it's just a short little cord. I actually got two of those with my 8-way splitter so some of the splitters come with them.
Just curious about your power banks, Are they the trickle down versions are the regular ones. Have you experienced the power banks turning off mid performance/show?
Is there a way to use the TTL to expand the Instant Access Buttons on the GCP via MIDI to a HEX (or GCX) unit? 🤔 How do I tell to the GCP that the CC message I'm sending is meant for the HEX (or GCX) Unit?
i built pedal power supply using IC LM317 based on tonepad website, and it sounds like isolated one on audacity. Still don't know what differences between them on market. All of my pedals are DIY-ed
Thank you so much for this video and this information. I have a question, though: Will a passive volume pedal (using a TRS cable) work without any other software? Or do you need the software (Eleven Rack or whatever)? 🤔
So the main different between using TRS to TRS from jack 1 is that you get Exp 1 + FS5, and if you use A Y-cable from both jacks, the switch toggles between EXP 1 and EXP 2? Because I'll tell you that I cannot, for the lift of me, get that to work on an HX Stomp XL.
Actually, I just realized it doesn't matter. Both types of behaviors can be achieved by changing settings within the Stomp, whether you use a Y cable or a TRS cable in only one jack. I honestly would only recommend the use of both jacks for Helix users, since Helix has two different inputs. Recommending that for Stomp users simply makes it unnecessarily confusing, since you can get it to do the exact same thing either way. I just spent so much time with the Y-cable thing thinking I could have more features that way, only to realize I could not get it to work because I couldn't figure out the correct set of settings over on the Stomp, only to just connect a standard TRS cable and do exactly the same thing.
Essentially, if you use both jacks with a Y cable, the switch simply toggles jack 1 between tip only between EXP 1 and EXP 2. But if you just use jack 1 with TRS, then the the tip is always connected to the pot, and the switch is connected to the ring and can just tell the Stomp to switch that tip connection between EXP 1 and EXP 1 with software. I'm smarter now after learning all that, but boy do I wish I had never tried the Y-cable method. I would have save so much time.
@@DannyCruzCreations I couldn't get the Y cable to work until I added an adapter (Google: "Hosa YPP-117 Stereo Breakout Cable - 1/4 inch TRS Male to Left and Right 1/4 inch TS Female")...Then I got the expected "0-100" behavior with my Mission Engineering pedal, instead of the weird "0-100-0" behavior
