I am not at this season bc in Germany NCIS is not on every streaming Service. Atm season 1-7 is on sky. The old ones.. I rewatch it. You know Gibbs, Abbey, Cate...Ziva, Tony, Jenny... But I'm looking forward for this seasons I spoil myself. And I always liked the chemics between Gibbs and Fornell so I am more than excited. Gibbs is the only one who can truely understand. And don't start with the difficulties of addiction and how Timothy had explained. Hope one day there is every season available here in Germany. For the while Semper Fi my friends - Semper Fi
Tbe sound editing is fantastic. The scene with Fornell and Gibbs the sound cuts out so you only get their reactions. It goes to Ncis office with the news of Fornell's daughter and Vance reading the poem. You get sound from the scene at the hospital until after Gibbs embraces Fornell and you can hear him sobbing. You can still hear Vance's poem while the sound from everyone else is cut out
Since 2018, I've lost 15 friends to fentanyl and meth overdoses. People I've known since elementary school. I lost my best friend since Kindergarten in 2017 due to an overdose on fentanyl, he was only 27. This episode is about as REAL as it gets. I definitely shed more than one tear. I was bawling. Losing one or two friends to drugs is hard enough, but losing 15 within 6 years is heartwrenching. This episode definitely got to me
3:05 This scene was really well done. While showing Gibbs hitting the guy, you see the others running towards them in the background. Most shows would just have them magically appear, but it showed them approaching. Little things like this is why NCIS has lasted so long.
I just recently saw the episode where Emily originally OD'd and Fornell and Gibbs realized she was an addict. I didn't know she later died. That is just heartbreaking. Tobias has been through so much !!! He'll need Gibbs more than ever !!!
If Emily's mother, Diane, Tobias Fornell's ex-wife and one of Gibbs' ex-wives had still been alive when Emily became a victim of an overdose of Opioids, would Diane hold Tobais personally responsible or not?
This was the one time I really felt the producers went too far. I know Emily's death ended up being part of the overall reason why Gibbs left, but still this death was just too much.
April was one of the worst character on the show and extremely annoying at times, remember when Ethan's irresponsible sister that got pregnant by a random dude she met at her drug rehabilitation meetings? Ethan was against her having the baby, but April stepped in and just had to remind him that she was catholic and that it's a life and it should be protected...forcing your religious beliefs on our own boyfriend is disgusting. I think her worst offense and flaw was her bias towards Noah. She always defended him and made excuses for him, even when he was in the wrong all the time. I just remembered the time she lost her baby and was pushing hard against some situation revolving around a mother and her child and then at the end of the episode she admitted that still she's having a hard time after losing her baby and they never addressed her unprofessional behavior. If she was going through trauma she should have gone to therapy like a damn adult instead of taking her frustrations out on a innocent person.
The show really went downhill after Ziva left. All the main characters that left after her. Who cares about a person who was not even a everyday character.
One more female character attacked in NCIS. Pretty much all female characters have terrible things happen to them and I've been saying this even before Ziva left
Reminds me of an old episode from WALKER: TEXAS RANGER where a representatives' son turned out to be a member of triad, selling black dot heroin that was killing teens like the plague, and he showed no remorse or regret for his behavior after he was busted and his immunity revoked. As Chuck Norris's character said, a child given plenty of love and affection can not completely protect them from bad influences.
