It would morph into a Donkey Kong 64 type. A game that is long enough to have its quirks, but not nearly as good as either DKC or Banjo for its substance There is a reason why Wario adopted the spot he found himself in. Video games during that period learned how to market convention as opposed to selling us on a world winning epic It's like watching movies change from the early 90's to the mid 2000's once they proved that they could do it, studios and audiences alike grew disinterested in meaningful storylines. Just give us the fluff in bite sized quantities that we may consume until new years resolution. Where we pretend we aren't going to do things the same way all over again
I really hope splatoon 4 will shake up the gameplay for the main modes a bit. After playing all 3 games turf war is getting boring and annoying with how the laat 4 seconds are the only ones that actually matter. And ranked is alright but i would like it if they actually created new modes. For the next game i just want new things. I do not need returning stuff as Splatoon3 has basically returned everything making it feel like a big collection. I love splatoon but i hope that splatoon4 will be new and fresh instead of the same thing but with additions. If my wishes can go really crazy than i'd ask for a full on salmonrun game instead as that is my all time favorite mode and what i come back for. They could do so much with the zombie invasion like gameplay. New modes, bigger maps. Heck maybe even play as salmonids against computer ink/octolings. Possibly a salmonrun storymode too!
As far as I'm concerned from what we got in Splatoon 3, as long as we still get to see the idols in the Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, and Deep Cut in future content and titles for the franchise, especially as the Now or Never Seven, I'll be satisfied. The Splatoon Community loves them, and it would not be the same to not see them again as the series continued.
Honestly I don't really care if they don't make another game but it doesn't need to be a revival if they do make a new game I don't see why I can't just be its own thing
Nope if it works dont fix Final Fantasy has lost it by going action rpg.And they know thats why they gone all out on better graphics to distract the original gameplay.They would be better off if they looked at how successful Sea of Stars Opathus Travelers has been I enjoyed playing the old style than the new formats.Thats why the Final Fantasy 7 remake will never top the original. It was never intended to it to expand on it thats why the changes were made.They made sure you were never going to get a full original remake.I hope they dont make the sane mistake with Chron Trigger Its doesn't need a remake remaster it and add voice actors and maybe tweak the battle enemies and bosses add some more weapons and moves but leave the battle system alone.
I want to be able to pull apart and put together my weapons like I'm bored at school and decide to dissect a pen. It would be cool if you could put mods on your weapons that could increase accuracy or range or give you a different sub/special. Or maybe you can sponsor your weapon with one of the brands similar to how many of the weapons we already have are already branded. Each brand would give your weapon a different set of subs and specials. Maybe some brands even get to use a suped up version of one of the specials. That would probably be easier to balance than fully customisable kits.
It would be nice if you could reach level 100 and pay like 1 million money to customize one weapon. I have many weapons I use, but I have one that's my favorite.and honestly I'd like another weapon like it but with different sub and power to it. Like why can they do what they did to side order and each game run you can change the stats a little bit!!!!!!! Just something different and unique. I'd work my butt off to get to level 100. Especially in splatoon 4 Also solo mode for salmon run And 2 ppl mode in turf war (2 vs 2) Also they have swords and splatana why not hand fans???????? Like shiver! Also the shop if ive purchased that item i dont want to see it again. If i bought everything then the store will tell me ive bought everything and maybe a specials outfits very similar to the amiibo outfits outlandish and cool. Also during splatfest if the idols have mutiple songs during the days coming they sing all those songs. And on the last day of splatfest they sing there signature song. For the rhythm twist to it. Rhythm heaven from Nintendo but your dancing with your idol group and get all to moves to the music. Obviously you wont be moving the body but just click a button or a series of buttons. To either 2 song of each idol or all theyre songs.
I would have to disagree with the point made at 6:00 because having season splatfests change the game such as with voting on weapons would be like how mob votes are with minecraft. You miss out on a lot
An idea for a spinoff that focuses on the great turf war could be a tactical rpg if we want to try something other than the 3rd person shooter Splatoon already is
The first game had a terrible roster. Astro Bot got me thinking off all those cameos, and just how many characters could appear in PSASBR 2. Iv made my own list of who I think should appear. Oh, I just really only play the game with friends and typically they just want to play Salmon Run or Turf War. Tried to convince them that ranked is pretty fun too, but they're convinced its too "tryhard".
I saw an idea somewhere else and I'd love to see it with Splatfests in the new game. Basically, SCRAP THEM! Instead, revitalize the game and change how idols and these big events work. Rather than having a few idols who have teams that you join to compete against other team(s), let's change things up. What if instead, our news broadcast came from a host (or hosts) of a Game Show. And then, instead of having Splatfests with teams, you instead have these big events that are akin to gameshows, battling for both individual and community-based rewards. Plus, while there would be standard Turf War and such battles/games, you'd also have others that are more akin to minigames. Basically, it would be more similar to Fall Guys with Splatoon's mechanics. Or maybe that could just work as a spin-off haha
Exactly, I really hope PlayStation bring back proper variety I was hoping we’d see that when we saw the PS5 reveal showcase but no like yeah the movie like stuff can exist but Sony needed a wake up call you can’t rely on a specific genre or ip for long (this goes for any company too) granted I still don’t think Astro Bot is GOTY (imo) it’s definitely a good game for sure
1:50 Oh please let that happen. That would be so damn fun. You know I’m what I miss? The Rhythm game aspect from 1 or 2 I think. Wish they would do a lot more stuff for the city. OH MY GOD IMAGINE A CAMPAIGN WITH ONLINE AND LOCAL MULTIPLAYER ABOUT THE MANGA, well something that has a story somewhat like the manga. Ok so since the Splatoon franchise is growing up the fan base I’m gonna say we definitely get a lot of more things like lockers.
Man the fandom of this game imagines games better than Nintendo itself, if you go read the old Project Splatoon 3 it was one of the bets shooter i've ever seen and they could easally make that game. For me personally i wish in a Splatoon game where it's like ine big city whete everyone connects and the city itself is a battleground with some "safe zones" like plazas and special zones where you play special modes ( Obviously i would male the game full open world with lot's of shops and maybe even a custom home/flat were you live/respawn)
There is a similar video by Nintendo Hero titled 'Where Does Splatoon Go Next?'. It was made after Splatoon 2's Final Fest and long before Splatoon 3 was announced. Under that video, I posted a comment going over my idea for a potential campaign that has everything you described in this video and more! Unfortunately, I had to wipe most of the slate clean when Splatoon 3 was announced, because said campaign idea was going to be the big focus of a major art project depicting a 'hypothetical third game' that we didn't have at the time. Now that I've seen how Splatoon 3 improved on the formula, I can revive the project under a new name and make it the best it can be, with the help of some friends, of course! But I digress. The campaign mode I've had simmering on the backburner for nearly five years now is a massive, story-focused one that would hypothetically break the notion that "Splatoon is just a multiplayer game."! One where you can play as all the past protagonists and even newly playable characters such as the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook! Each character would have unique abilities that you could utilize to progress! In most missions, two characters would go in together, and you'd be able to switch between them at will with the mere push of a button, Sonic Heroes style! The story would begin similarly to most of the others; you'd create a character who ends up being recruited as a new agent of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. The Octarians would be involved again, and you'd start missions by locating and entering kettles. This is all to create the charade that is all just the same as the previous games and poke fun at the player for a bit. However, the further you progress, the more you'd realize there's far more going on than the Octarians' efforts. New enemies, new characters, all under one big mystery. After the first major area, all major areas for the first half of the game would be unlocked, meaning you can tackle any mission in any order from here on out, with the exception of the occasional boss alert. Once you reach the campaign's halfway point, there is a major shift in both the tone of the story and the gameplay, the likes of which I won't spoil. But I can say a couple things: The first is that, if you look hard enough, you might just run into someone who's been... _sinking_ some _scrolls._ The second is that by the end, our heroes will uncover something they've never seen... Oh, ya, I almost forgot. It would definitely have a two-player co-op feature since there are so many characters to choose from! That's just my idea for the campaign, though. I'll post at least one other comment going over the ideas I have for some of the other things you spoke of in this video.
Tdm in casual and free for all, more players in salmon run A gardens & graveyards/rush/operations mode would be peak for hub A more persona 5/ yukuza splatoon 🙏 with a bit of animal crossing
